INTERVIEW POLICY Non-postgame interviews with University of Oklahoma basketball players or coaches must be arranged through Mike Houck of the OU Athletics Media Relations Offi ce and requested at least 24 hours in advance of the desired interview time. Houck’s phone number is (405) 325-8227. Player interviews are generally granted during a 30-minute block before practice, usually 2:15-2:45 p.m. weekdays. Only postgame interviews are allowed on gamedays.

POSTGAME INTERVIEWS Following each home game, a 10-15 minute “cooling-off period” will be exercised. The opposing coach will then be escorted to the OU interview room, located across from the media room. When the opposing coach fi nishes with media, Oklahoma head coach Jeff Capel and Sooner players will enter the interview room. The OU locker room is closed.

Consisting of 30 stations, the net- work will provide Oklahoma basketball broadcasts to fans throughout the state and in Arkansas and Texas. SOONER TELEVISION NETWORK A creation of Sooner Sports Properties, the Sooner Sports Network is in its ninth year of televising selected University of Oklahoma men’s basketball games. Five contests will air this year on either KWTV Channel 9 or KAUT Channel 43 in Oklahoma City, KWBT Channel 19 or Cox 3 in Tulsa, KSWO or Cable Channel 5 in Lawton and KOMI Channel 24 in Woodward.

he Big 12 Conference has been synonymous with success in competitive play and in the classroom as it enters its 12th season, and league members anticipate continued Tsuccess during the 2007-08 academic year. In the fi rst 11 years of the Big 12, the conference can boast of 30 team and over 350 indi- vidual NCAA Championships. The success continued this past season, with team titles in men’s cross country (Colorado) and women’s volleyball (Nebraska) in addition to numerous individual crowns. Over the past three seasons alone a total of 11 NCAA trophies have been hoisted by Big 12 institutions, with at least one national crown won in 10 of 11 years for the conference, including each of the past 10 seasons. Through the fi rst nine Bowl Championship Series title games, the Big 12 leads all confer- ences with fi ve appearances in the contest. Big 12 squads have played for the football na- tional championship fi ve times in the last eight years, with berths in 12 BCS games overall. In basketball, eight men’s and women’s teams have advanced to their respective Final Fours in the past six seasons as the Big 12 continues its place among the elite intercollegiate athletic conferences. Numerous national honors have been won by men’s and women’s student-athletes during conference history, with Kevin Durant (Texas) the most recent to garner accolades as the consensus 2007 National Player of the Year. The Big 12 and its member institutions are committed to a competitive environment where sportsmanship and fair play take center stage. Whether on the fi eld, in the classroom, or within the community the student-athletes, administrators, coaches and game offi cials of the Big 12 support the highest ideals in sportsmanship. The conference is made up of 12 institutions that have shared many traditional rivalries throughout their histories. Member schools include , University of Colorado, , , , , University of Nebraska, University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma State University, University of Texas, Texas A&M University and . The institutions created a league that encompasses seven states, over 45 million people and more than 18 million television households within its geographic footprint. The conference conducts championships for 20 of its 21 sports. Each championship helps to determine teams and/or individuals that will represent the Conference in national postseason competition. The winner of the Big 12 football championship game earns the league’s berth into the prestigious Bowl Championship Series. In the last several years the Big 12 has increased its bowl agreements and expanded tele- vision opportunities for all sports through contracts with ABC/ESPN, FSN and CSTV.
