Club Region Club Name Major Annual Event Business Statesman and Stateswoman of the Year Award Dinner Asia-Pacific HBS Club of Japan Entrepreneur of the Year Award Reception Asia-Pacific HBS Club of India Annual Leadership Gala In the past this is held along with the Global Networking Night to increase participation from alums in Singapore. In Asia-Pacific HBS Club of Singapore 2015 this event is being planned as a separate event. This is WIP and the main aim is to re-launch the HBS club of Singapore in a more focused way- at this point the board members are looking at a conference + dinner platform. Asia-Pacific HBS Club of Malaysia Annual Dinner, Golf, Talk, Corporate Visit The Harvard Business School Club of the Philippines holds a major annual event which is the General Assembly of all its members. During this event, the new officers of the club are inducted. It was held on August 19, 2014 at the Manila Asia-Pacific HBS Club of the Philippines Polo Club. The primary purpose is to provide the members an update of last year's activities and plans for the following year. During the event, we also invite guest speakers which could be an industry leader or a Harvard Business School Professor. Asia-Pacific HBS Club of Shanghai Entrepreneur and innovation forum in November at Harvard Center Shanghai. Asia-Pacific HBS Association of Beijing Annual gala dinner every Q1 to review club status the previous year and plan for the coming year Asia-Pacific HBS Association of Taipei GNN The annual event for the HBS Club of Pakistan is held at the end of every year generally in December and a high profile key-note speaker is invited to attend. The HBS Club opens the event not only to its membership in Pakistan but also to Asia-Pacific HBS Club of Pakistan Harvard University alumni here. The event usually has around 100+ alumni both from HBS and Harvard in general. The annual event provides an opportunity for alumni to network with other Harvard alumni and also to interact socially with each other. Europe HBS Club of France Once a year, we host a National competition of self-made entrepreneurs HBS Club of Madrid, a Chapter of the Every year we host an annual Gala dinner during the month of November. Its primary purpose is strengthening our ties Europe Harvard Club of Spain and sense of community. Europe HBS Club of Sweden Annual dinner and elections added, and Annual Black Tie Europe HBS Club of Ireland Biennial 2-day residential conference, the purpose of which is networking, social, and career development. We always have the Annual Xmas Dinner. This year, too many people were travelling so we had limited attendance, like Latin America HBS Club of Brazil 40 people 1. Lecture series event on Nigerian economy Middle East & 2. Akintola Williams Ethical Leadership Lecture: The former helps to increase awareness of Nigeria's macro-economic HBS Association of Nigeria Africa issues while the latter brings outstanding business and thought leaders together. 3. Club Region Club Name Major Annual Event Middle East & The club has an annual Gala dinner at the end of December. The primary purpose is to have a major event that HBS Alumni Association of Israel Africa connects the club with Harvard Alumni and other Ivy League schools. Middle East & We do a main dinner (gala) every year during the Christmas break. The main purpose is to get everyone together to HBS Club of Egypt Africa socialize and meet new and old members/ alumni HBSCNY sets aside one night each year for a gala event to recognize the accomplishments of extraordinary individuals. Through its awards, HBSCNY honors individuals who have excelled in business and/or made major contributions to the North America HBS Club of New York community. Proceeds from the dinner are used to fund scholarships and HBSCNY's social enterprise programs, including Community Partners and the Skills Gap Program. 1. Annual Meeting and Dinner - Faculty Keynote; Membership Votes in New Board Members and on other business North America HBS Association of Boston items 2. Economic Outlook Panel - Lifelong learning 3. CEO Roundtable - Lifelong learning HBS Association of Northern Business Leader of the Year Dinner and Entrepreneur Company of the Year dinner, purpose is to honor leaders and North America California companies while raising money to HBS Community Partners, 4 scholarships and club operations. North America HBS Club of Washington, D.C. We hold a yearly Young Alumni Happy Hour and the Global Networking Night. North America HBS Club of Atlanta Opening Party at start of membership year. North America HBS Club of South Florida (Miami) Annual Leadership Dinner Every September the HBS Club of Philadelphia holds a kick-off event. The event is held at a different unique venue each year, on a Sunday in September, with food and beverages. Spouses and guests are also invited. The event is used to North America HBS Club of Philadelphia get Philadelphia alumni together to share ideas for the upcoming year and get to know one another. New volunteers and new suggestions for programs are strongly encouraged. We also sponsor the Social Enterprise Initiative (SEI) - typically each year. North America HBS Club of Houston Our primary event is our Holiday party. Over 100 people will attend and our membership gets free access. North America HBS Club of Puget Sound Annual Dinner in conjunction with the Harvard Club of Seattle North America HBS Club of Dallas Holiday Party in a member's home -- fellowship and networking. Had 67% of current membership signed up by this event (which took place in September, our first month of activity). Our major annual event is our annual dinner, held in May with an HBS faculty speaker. Primary purpose is to increase North America HBS Club of St. Louis membership, get the entire group together with spouses and significant others for a combination of a learning event and a social event. For past 3 years, HBS Club of Cincinnati has co-hosted our annual signature event ('Midwest Growth Forum') with the North America HBS Club of Cincinnati Association for Corporate Growth, often bringing in HBS faculty as Keynote speakers (this year's Keynote was delivered by Jan Rivkin). North America HBS Club of San Antonio Christmas party...to build informal relationships outside the business arena We have an Annual Wine Party for club members and their spouse / partner. The Wine Party is usually in September North America HBS Club of Rochester but in 2014 we had it in November. North America HBS Club of Buffalo Annual dinner, a thank you for the program moderators, and to give away the program profits to local NFPs. Our major annual event is the AGM where we feature a keynote speaker. This year, Mr. Peter Herrndorf, President and North America HBS Club of Ottawa CEO of the National Arts Centre of , spoke to us on the topic of 'Risk and Reward: Leadership in Canada's Creative Organizations'. The Woodlands Chapter of the HBS Faculty Event with private dinner North America Club of Houston Holiday Party at year end Our Aerospace Summit to be co-located with one of the prominent events in the industry. We are still in the process of SIGs HBS Aerospace Alumni Group drafting the event program and making sure that this elite event takes place once every year. Annual AASU Conference with Alumni Only activities. Periodic Industry Focused Leadership Summit: Media and HBS African American Alumni Entertainment, Technology, etc. - Organized to engage, educate, and provide a forum for business leaders and HBSAAA SIGs Association members. New focus on alternative initiatives (e.g. W50 Celebration), GNN, and smaller events with Global Ambassador program under development. We hold an annual conference in Silicon Valley; with several panels of speakers talking about angel and vesting invest. SIGs HBS Angels Alumni Association We also have the participation of past presenters in booths as part of the showcase of the HBS Alumni Angels activity and presenting companies. HBS Christian Fellowship Alumni SIGs We always hold an in-person gathering concurrent with the reunions on campus. Association Now in its 16th year HBSHAA holds an annual conference the first week in November in Cambridge. The primary SIGs HBS Healthcare Alumni Association purpose of this event is for alums to network and interact and industry thought leaders. SIGs HBS Latino Alumni Association Annual Dinner in New York City 1. Decades Parties at members' homes sorted by decades, all in one evening in February. The purpose is making HBS Women's Association of New SIGs connections. York 2. Women Who Inspire Us Gala Party...April...The purpose is making connections, honoring a member and fund-raising.
