2013 AT&T American Cup and Nastia Liukin Cup Media Information Sheet This is a brief overview of details about the AT&T American Cup on March 2. Media representatives may pick up credentials at door 5 of the DCU Center in Worcester, Mass., at the times indicated below. What: The 2013 AT&T American Cup, one of the sport’s premier international invitationals and an International Gymnastics Federation World Cup Event, and the Nastia Liukin Cup, a competition for the some of the country’s Junior Olympic female gymnasts hosted by 2008 Olympic all-around champion Nastia Liukin. When: AT&T American Cup, March 2, 2013, at 11:30 a.m. ET Nastia Liukin Cup, March 1, 2013, at 7 p.m. ET Where: DCU Center, Worcester, Mass. Who: AT&T American Cup. The AT&T American Cup features a mix of the world’s top gymnasts and rising stars. The complete field is below. The Nastia Liukin Cup showcases some of the USA's top Junior Olympic gymnasts. The participants for the Nastia Liukin Cup qualify through 19 of the country's top invitationals that are included in the Nastia Liukin Cup Series, which runs from January through February. 2012 champion Charity Jones of Miami, Okla./Dynamo Gymnastics, will return to defend her title. The Nastia Liukin Cup is held the night before the American Cup, and its proceeds benefit the Nastia Liukin Fund, a charitable fund within the National Gymnastics Foundation. Go to nastialiukincup.com to see the entire field. Format: The AT&T American Cup is an all-around competition, which means the men compete on all six apparatus and the women on four. The male and female gymnasts with the highest total score after the end of the event win the AT&T American Cup titles. The Nastia Liukin Cup is an all-around competition. All gymnasts will compete on vault, uneven bars, balance beam and floor exercise, and the gymnasts with the highest total combined score wins the Nastia Liukin Cup crown. Television: NBC Sports will broadcast the AT&T American Cup live from 1-3 p.m. ET. The Nastia Liukin Cup will air live on Universal Sports from 7-9 p.m. ET.
