NEWS Ford Pays Homage to Le Mans with Celebration Liveries Special series of liveries celebrates Ford’s success at Le Mans, past and present Celebration liveries mark Ford’s “Au Revoir” (“until we meet again”) to its factory Le Mans programme Customer team, Keating Motorsports follows same livery design for #85 Ford GT LE MANS, France, May 28, 2019 – Ford has revealed a special series of “Celebration Liveries” for the Ford Chip Ganassi Racing Ford GTs ahead of the 2019 Le Mans 24 Hours. Each of the four factory Ford GTs will bear a livery that celebrates the success of the manufacturer at Le Mans, both in the present day and during the 1960s. The 2019 Le Mans 24 Hours is the final Le Mans for the current factory Ford GT programme, marking the close of another great chapter at Le Mans for the factory Fords. “In 2016, Ford returned to Le Mans to mark the 50th anniversary of our incredible 1966 win and we celebrated in the best way possible by winning the race,” said Bill Ford, executive chairman, Ford Motor Company. “To stand on that podium on behalf of the employees was a proud moment for me and I look forward returning to Le Mans this year to support the team as we approach our final race in this chapter.” When the four factory Ford GTs arrive at the famous La Sarthe Circuit at Le Mans later today, they will be seen for the very first time in the new liveries, each of which has a special meaning. -

Ford II to Retire After 33 Years as Director • Nominees will stand for election to board of directors at Ford’s annual meeting May 13 • John Lechleiter, who has served as a Ford director since 2013, has opted not to be considered for re-election DEARBORN, Mich., March 12, 2021 – Ford Motor Company today announced that Alexandra Ford English and Henry Ford III have been nominated to stand for election to the company’s board of directors at its annual meeting of shareholders on May 13. Both candidates are great-great grandchildren of Henry Ford, who founded the auto company in 1903. Their nominations to the board continue the Ford family’s nearly 118 years of active involvement with and stewardship of the company. Alexandra Ford English, 33, the daughter of Ford Executive Chairman Bill Ford, is currently a director in Corporate Strategy at the company, responsible for enterprise, connectivity and digital network strategic plans. Before that, she was director of Market and Operations for Ford Autonomous Vehicles LLC and responsible for the successful deployment and operations of Ford’s autonomous vehicle business in Miami; Austin, Texas; and Washington, D.C. Ford English is also Ford’s representative to the board of directors of Rivian, the electric carmaker in which Ford owns an equity interest. Prior to joining Ford in 2017, Ford English ran merchandising divisions for Tory Burch in New York City and Gap Inc. -

09-10-2020 07:30 CEST Andreas Bakkerud testet Extreme E I forrige uke fikk Andreas Bakkerud sin første test med den nye elektriske rallybilen som skal brukes i mesterskapet Extreme E. Bergenseren er aktuell som en av førerne i mesterskapet, som starter med et løp i Saudi-Arabia i slutten av mars. Extreme E er et nytt bilsportmesterskap hvor det skal kjøres med elektriske biler på steder hvor klimaendringer har gjort seg gjeldende for å skape oppmerksomhet rundt global oppvarming, og vise at elektrisk mobilitet kan være en del av løsningen for planeten. Løpene vil ha etapper som minner litt om Dakar Rally, og en kvinnelig og en mannlig deltaker skal dele på hver bil. En rekke velkjente team fra internasjonal motorsport er klare som X44, eid av Formel 1-verdensmester Lewis Hamilton, Andretti Autosport, Abt Sportsline og Chip Ganassi Racing. Flere førere er allerede klare som svenskene Mattias Ekström og Timmy Hansen, amerikanerne Kyle Leduc og Sara Price, og Katie Munnings fra Storbritannia. En annen som er aktuell er den norske rallycrossføreren Andreas Bakkerud.
