The Mogao Grottoes Singing Sands Mountain Yumen Pass ITINERARY Day 01 Xi’an to (D) Today you will fly to Dunhuang.met by your tour guide and transfer back to the hotel. Dunhuang, a an obvious pearl along the legendary Silk Road. In ancient times, Dunhuang was the center of trade between and its western neighbors. At that time, it was the most westerly frontier military garrison in China. With the flourishing of trade along the Silk Road, Dunhuang was prompted to become the most open area in international trade in Chinese history.

Day 02 Dunhuang (B/L) Breakfast at hotel After breakfast, we’ll visit The Mogao Grottoes and Singing Sands Mountain. Mogao Grottoes was constructed over a million year, from the 4th to 14th centuries,the cave holds the world richest treasure house of Buddhist statues, murals and sculptures.

In the afternoon, continue our visit to Crescent Moon Lake.Crescent Moon Lake is in the Sand Singing Mountain and an oasis in the desert. The spring’s name derives from the crescent shape pool of spring water between large sand dunes.

Before back to hotel, ride the camel to enjoy the sun setts in the desert and experience the traveling along the silk road.

Day03 Dunhuang–Xi’an (B/L) Breakfast at hotel After breakfast, visit Yadan and Yumen Pass, then you’ll be transferred to the airport for your flight.. Yumen Pass, Located in Nanhu Village, along the and 43 miles southwest to Dunhuang City in Province, Yangguan Pass is one of the two important western passes (the other one is Yumenguan Pass) of Great Wall in Western (206BC -24AD). The Emperor Wu ordered to build it in the purpose of consolidating the frontier defense as well as developing the remote western region.
