That's what we did ... we sang everyday. Make noise around the house, Mike was the noisemaker. Just hollars around the house ... just makin' noise. Any kind of noise." 3. And Jon Bon Jovi told us it was a really important song for him: JON BON JOVI ACTUALITY: (1 :26) "Very personal song, one that wouldn't have been finished had Dana Kortchmar not made me finish that song. I went over to his house with about a dozen songs written, and I said well, like here's #13 ... it's only half finished, but what do you think? It was written on a piano and I only had an accoustic guitar, so it didn't even feel right to play it, but I sang the first two verses and I didn't have a chorus or anything. And it inspired me to go home and get it done, you know, because it was like facing a lot of things that I didn't necessarily know that I wanted people to think. You know, I didn't want them to know that much about me. But he pulled it out of me and I finished it and I was, I'll be eternally grateful for it so it's a very revealing song, a very personal song. When you put your heart on your sleeve, the damage that you can face is that people see that, you know, and you might take a blow that you weren't ready for, you know. you don't want people to know that, then they know that, and then they hit you for it. and you go, oh no, that hurt, even worse than if it was fiction. So, he pulled it out of me and I was daring enough to put it out there, the people and, fortunately, I'm lucky enough the people are liking it."
