SAVING OUR SPECIES

Help save the Gympie Stinger Conservation status moroides in NSW: Endangered Saving our Species aims to secure as many threatened species and ecological communities as possible. This conservation strategy aims to secure the species in the long term. The strategy was developed Commonwealth by experts who identified the minimum number of priority status: management sites and conservation actions required to manage N/A critical threats to conserve the species in NSW. Saving our Species Four priority management sites were identified in NSW (ordered north to south and including local government area (LGA)). They are: management stream: Partnership (range-restricted) ‡ Near Carool and Tomewin in Tweed LGA ‡ Cudgen Nature Reserve in Tweed LGA Species profile: ‡ Mooball National Park in Tweed LGA http://www.environment.nsw.g ‡ Drake in Tenterfield LGA ov.au/threatenedspeciesapp/p More information about each site is provided on the following pages. rofile.aspx?id=10214 Saving our Species is based on a cost-effective approach that Saving our Species delivers maximises the number of threatened species and ecological on the NSW Government's communities conserved through on-ground management action. If legislative requirements under you want to contact us please email the Biodiversity Conservation [email protected] Act 2016.

Strategic Importance: NSW contains scattered records of this species at the southern limit of the species range. Though there may be more individuals in NSW than represented in records as the species is under surveyed. The species is not common in south east and the south east region is highly disjunct from the broader northern distribution. *Recorded species sightings Map of Gympie Stinger occurrence and priority (BioNet). management site(s)
