Seller Statement

In 1996, several sports enthusiasts built the Break Away Sports Center, a state of the art, well maintained, sports facility that primarily offered indoor soccer. We wanted to create a place where sports could be played recreationally with an emphasis on sportsmanship and fair play while at the same time, improving the development of sports skills. Break Away emphasized recreational soccer through modified rules of play in a family atmosphere that welcomes soccer enthusiasts no matter what their skill level. In conjunction with our business, Break Away has introduced several popular soccer programs to the Madison area. Over the years, we have developed a simple phrase that represents our mission: “Playing the Game… Teaching the Game… Respecting the Game.”

Since the day we opened, our staff and our customers have been committed to supporting our recreational soccer in a family and social atmosphere, which has contributed to our success over all these years.

We are proud to say that Break Away has been in business for almost a quarter century and I have been managing indoor soccer since 1985 (almost 35 years!). I have loved every minute of it, but my partners and I are ready to pass the baton on to a new group of soccer enthusiasts. It is our hope that we identify a new group with new energy, ready to carry on the traditions of Break Away while forging their own path at the same time. Most importantly, we sincerely hope that any new team will honor our dreams and our staff’s commitment to serve the Madison area’s recreational soccer needs for many years to come.

Our 46,000 square foot sports complex is the perfect structure for running Break Away and can easily accommodate other uses. In addition to the 2 indoor soccer fields with dasher boards and newly installed infill turf, the building and property include the following features: • Men’s and women’s locker rooms with showers • 34’ ceiling height and 100’ free span across the fields • A viewing mezzanine and office area • 100% climate-controlled environment • Ground floor commercial spaces available for third party, income producing tenants

These building features, when combined with other equipment and supplies can provide what is intended to be a turnkey operation in this sport minded community.

Thank you! It’s been a fun ride! If you have any questions or would like to tour the facility, please let us know. In the meantime, we look forward to continuing to provide the same quality product to the soccer community that everyone has become accustomed to. Matt Lombardino, Co-Founder & Operator
