1 Omiwa Jinja shrine is said to be the oldest in our country. This shrine was built in honor of the Mt. Miwa (considered as a deity) and is well known for the veneration of the deity of Sake production. As you walk in the precinct, you feel the sacred spirit around you.

2 Hasedera temple is famous for the beauty of its flowers of every season. As you climb the 399 stone stairs, you can enjoy the flowers (cherry blossoms, peonies, hydrangeas, autumn colored leaves and the winter peonies) throughout the year. The stage of the Main Hall offers a fine view of the area.

3 Abe monjuin temple(founded in 7th century) is one of the oldest Buddhist temples in . The Bouddha of wisdom(the statue of Tokai monju riding on a lion) is designated as a national treasure, created by Kaikei, great sculptor in the 13th century in Japan.

4 Tanzan Jinja shrine stores the wooden 13 storied pagoda, which can only be seen in this shrine in Japan. In autumn, you can enjoy the beautiful colored leaves and in November, the Kemari festival (kemari: a ball game that used to be played by aristocrats in the old days.) 5 Shorinji temple stores the 11 faced Kannon(statue of Bodhisattva) made in 8th century which is designated as a national treasure.
