The stage of the Main Hall offers a fine view of the area. 3 Abe monjuin temple(founded in 7th century) is one of the oldest Buddhist temples in Japan. The Bouddha of wisdom(the statue of Tokai monju riding on a lion) is designated as a national treasure, created by Kaikei, great sculptor in the 13th century in Japan. 4 Tanzan Jinja shrine stores the wooden 13 storied pagoda, which can only be seen in this shrine in Japan. In autumn, you can enjoy the beautiful colored leaves and in November, the Kemari festival (kemari: a ball game that used to be played by aristocrats in the old days.) 5 Shorinji temple stores the 11 faced Kannon(statue of Bodhisattva) made in 8th century which is designated as a national treasure.
