WJXT Presents: Oh, Say Can You Sing The sixth annual local television singing competition is back
Jacksonville, FL: WJXT Channel 4’s annual Oh Say Can You Sing competition is back for its sixth year. Finalists will perform live June 26 at 9 p.m. on Oh Say Can You Sing one hour special.
This year’s judges, Deb McDuffie, Lorna Greenwood and Lee Hamby chose their top three contestants from more than 100 entries: Nayana Sen, Ashley Wiseman and Amara Powell. Viewers were given the chance to vote in the fourth contender, and after receiving more than 50 percent of the votes, Becky Bui is this year’s wildcard performer. These four finalists are competing for $500 and the chance to sing the National Anthem on WJXT’s July 4th special Red White & Boom. Following the contestants’ live performances at 1904 Music Hall. Viewers will vote for their favorite and choose this year’s winner. The special also features a behind the scenes look at the hard work contestants put in to win your vote.
The Oh Say Can You Sing finale is hosted by River City Live’s Eden Kendall, Mark Payton and Rance Adams. Sponsored by Papa John’s, Oh Say Can You Sing airs Wednesday, June 26 at 9 p.m on WJXT Channel 4. Watch, vote, and see who will sing the Star-Spangled banner before the big fireworks show on Red, White, and Boom.
