1 Editorial: Salva- tion Mission Partakers Movement (SMPM) On behalf of the family of Salvation Mission Partakers “ Soul Seekers Movement, we wish you a blessed New Year through this second edition of ‘Soul seekers’, our monthly periodical. Salvation Mission Partakers Movement is a ministry that propagates the gospel of Christ to the masses. The prime goal of this organisation is to deliver the gospel to remote locations where the name of Jesus Christ hasn’t been heard even once. The prayers and the sacrificial offerings of churches, institutions, fami- lies and business people are the pillars of this mis- sionary organization. Encourage people to join us with prayers as you are united with us in prayers. With the help of our organisation website www.smpm.co.in) (www.smpm.co.in), you can introduce this missionary work to your friends and families abroad. Prayer is our breath! Prayer groups are the backbone! We have 12 places where we have initiated Tuesday prayers till now; within March 31st we aim to start - prayer groups in about 100 places. On observe every Tuesday as organisations’ prayer day, and you can start prayer groups at your area and can gather either once a month or once a week on Tuesdays. If you inform about the prayer groups in your locality, we can connect with you and share details of our mis- sion fields. Please do pray for us. We will also keep you in our prayers. In your churches, we are more than eager to conduct theological discussions, spiritual revival meetings, youth meetings, teens programs, marriage counsel- ing, missionary vision casting meetings, family gath- erings, spiritual advisory meetings for business peo- ple and many more. I Chronicles 12:22 In David’s life, the more he got closer to God and in fulfilling His will, the more problems and enemies he had to face. Even though he was surrounded by problems and enemies, God made sure he had friends who supported him, and he sent them in surplus. Hence, the army of David became like the army of God. While David’s enemies were weakened, he flourished because of the grace of God. How did David flourish when he was surrounded by enemies? How did his enemies become weak even though they had a big army? Secret of the Victory: Let’s look into the secret behind David’s victory over his enemies. Most of us think that if we gain a certain social and financial status, we won’t be having prob- lems in life and strive towards that goal. But the truth is people start observing you more when you are at a higher economical and financial status than when you are socially and economically weak. How can I bring him down? How can I find faults in him? This would be the recurrent thought of a majority, who witness your growth (their eyes will be looking for- ward to finding faults to bring you down). Similarly, the devil brings people and problems when God wants to bless us abundantly. Why should we grow? The devil creates doubts and confusions in our minds about why we should grow and whether it’s really God’s will and wear us out with different hurdles on our way. We should understand how David got through all this exhausting hurdle. The reason behind David’s victory is his reliance on the one living God, than being alone, exhausted and worn-out. Secret to success: Humans have this tendency to take pride in ourselves and our strength when we achieve certain greatness. Moreover, when things go beyond our control we seek the help of other people. But David’s secret is that he completely relied on God irrespective of the size of the problem or the size of his enemies. He went and stood before God and God alone. Relying on God alone: God’s presence and His grace were the only pillars for David’s victory. When his enemies waged war against him, neither did he think about his own self nor his

3 strength, he didn’t rather seek any help from men, but only trusted God as his strength and relied com- pletely on Him. So, God sent people every day to , assist David, increasing the number of his army fash- , ioning God’s own army. Those who trusted on their . strength and their self were weakened every day. David who trusted God and God’s word under all . circumstances stood high and flourished. Dearly beloved Gospel Prayer Partners, no matter , how many hurdles you may face along your way; no , matter how many of your enemies cause you prob- . lems, nothing can stop God’s purpose for you. Prob- lems, sufferings and hurdles come along because God wants to fulfil His purpose in your life. The devil is . eagerly waiting to pull us down and gain control over , us. So, let’s be vigilant and prioritize God and His , words and learn to lean on Him. He will provide you , with the right help, strength and guidance. With the , grace of God, your enemies will be swept away like , chaff. David grew stronger and stronger, while the , house of Saul grew weaker and weaker. II Samuel 3:1 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my . enemies; You have anointed my head with oil; My , cup overflows. Surely goodness and loving kindness , will follow me all the days of my life, ; And I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. Psalms 23:5-6 . , , , . , , . , . , . , . , . , . . 2 3:1 -

6 An Inspiring Witness In The Lord’s Work 07-12-2019 On Saturday the 07th December 2019 we were out on the field in the city Coimbatore, together with the general secretary of - SMPM GENERAL SECRETARY REV. KOILRAJ, SMPM Rev. Koilraj and the managing trustee Dr. Arumairaj in search of sponsors who could support perpetually the SMPM Dr.Arumairaj missionaries in the days to come. Our Lord graciously guided us to an important VIP in the Lord therein in the first place, opening his heart as we read in the scripture. He too happily welcomed us and as we opened up our requirements to him and the immediate needs of SMPM; Lord worked in his heart to support SMPM rather very truly identified with us as follows: he prom- ised us to support five missionaries monthly not only that touching the same he immediately handed over a cheque for Rs. 15,000 He did not stop with that, he promised us to build a hostel for the missionaries (approximately 20 in numbers) in his own land at his own expense, at the earliest possible and would hand over the same to SMPM upon completion. Glory to Lord God alone for he alone turns the hearts of men and holds and directs and guides everyone thoughts and purposes. We too thanked him for all his wholehearted considerations showed towards us and SMPM on the whole for the furtherance of Lord’s work in our land. Please join us to pray for him for our Lord to bless in all his works and continued support to SMPM. This grateful inci- dence encouraged us greatly in the progress of services in His cause. We thanked and praised the Lord for His leading and the man in the Lord too for all what he had done. After that we went to meet two more persons, they too ex- pressed their desires and willingness towards SMPM to jointly work together supporting the missionaries, they promised us, soon they will declare as to how many SMPM missionaries they will support in the days to come. At the most they would take the support of minimum five missionaries, we believe. One of them immediately handed over Rs. 5000 to Rev. Koilraj for the immediate needs. This too greatly encouraged us seeing how the Lord work in the hearts of the people. The result of this one day effort in the Lord in His services is a very great encouragement unto all of us. This is causing us to go forward in His cause for His glory. We are also planning for the second round of work in the same area as early as possible as and when our General Secretary Rev. Koilraj is available. We are seeking you all to pray together with us and come forward ( extending your helping hand to the poor, rejected, helpless, destitute, uncared souls living in the remote areas in different states and stay blessed as per the promised we see in the scripture, in the Lord God. We pray, plan and believe that our Lord would rise up at least fifty missionary sponsors in Coimbatore region in the near future. We trust in the Lord and do our work; kindly join with us

7 prayerfully in the task of the Kingdom furtherance with your supporting hands as well. May the presence of the Lord God be with all of you now and in the days to come until His soon imminent return.

Trust Secretary Message : HUMILITY ONE OF THE MANY FIRST PRINCIPLES TO SERVE THE LORD AND TO GET HIS APPROVAL IS HUMILITY AGAINST PRIDE! PRIDE IS THE PRINCIPLE OF THE ADERSARY THE DEVIL, THOSE WHO WANT TO SERVE THE LORD SHOULD HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THAT. HUMILITY — a freedom from arrogance that grows out of the recognition that all we have and are comes from God. The Greek philosophers despised humility because to them it im- plied inadequacy, lack of dignity, and worthlessness. This is not people focus more on God and others than on themselves.

8 the meaning of humility as defined by the Bible. Jesus is the supreme example of humility (Acts 8:32-33; Php 2:5-8), and he is completely adequate and of infinite dignity and worth. Biblical humility is not a belittling of oneself (Mat 6:16-18; Rom 12:3), but an exalting or praising of others, especially God and Christ (Joh 3:30; Php 2:3). Humble BIBLICAL HUMILITY is also recognition that by our- selves we are inadequate, without dignity and worthless. Yet, because we are created in God’s im- age and because believers are in Christ, we have infinite worth and dignity (1Co 4:6-7; 1Pe 1:18-19). True humility does not pro- duce pride but gratitude. Since God is our creator and Redeemer, our existence and righteousness - depend on him (Joh 15:5; Act 17:28; Eph 2:8-10). - HUMILITY is produced by or the product of true salvation by the conviction of Holy Spirit followed by repentance and penitence. Scriptural Repentance is otherwise a gift of God, was bestowed on Gentile nations. True Repentance and Penitence is the causa- - tive factors of the genuine Humility and ultimately which brings glory to God in Jesus the Christ through the power the Holy Spirit. The ultimate purpose of True children of God is the glory of God, without which our life on earth at the end would appear to be futile. One who thus leads his life down on earth is under the surveillance of the spirit of God and gets abundant grace from Him; for our God is a God of abundant grace. He pours more grace into his/her life yet not without suffering, troubles and oppression, for we are living in a world which is under the wicked sway of the evil one (1Jn 5:19 And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness). TESTIMONIES TOUCHING HUMILITY: First in the list is Jesus the Christ our Redeemer Sav- iour; who is unparalleled and unfathomable in humili- ty. Everyone who loves to grow in this spiritual virtue must focus and set his/her eyes upon Him unwaver- ingly! Second is John the Baptist, the fore runner to our Lord. Jesus Christ himself has made a comment about him, I consider that as a promise which is causing me to behold into eternity to come; Mat 11:11 Truly, I say to you, among those born of women there has arisen no one greater than John the Baptist. Yet the one who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than - he. Third in the list, I would like to make a mention of Paul the Apostle: just by a single encounter at the

9 road to Damascus with the resurrected, glorified Lord God Jesus the Christ and by the light brighter than the midday sun, all his spiritual pride was drained out. He humbled himself and said finally, “Not I but Christ lives in me”. Actual humility is forsaking our self, the moment we received Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. This is otherwise the begin- ning of spiritual transformation within a converted soul. Towards the end of his life, he could say that “I am a chief of the sinners”. May all glory belong to Lord God alone! Genuine humility would always say God’s name be hallowed, God’s will be done and His Kingdom come; not otherwise. Let us humbly forsake our priority not saying my name and fame, my will and desire and not building our own kingdom; which in no sense can contribute to any spiritual virtues and minister the Lord and mankind. Stay blessed in the Lord giving him all glory. Arul – Secretary: SMPM Trust

Children’s Section Dear children of Jesus, may the Lord bless all of you. In this section today, I will be conveying that our Lord is a mighty and powerful God through a real historic event that took place. Missionary Boniface h In the year 680 BC, the nation of Germany was the home of many indigenous people, who followed many fallacious beliefs and celebrated sins and iniq- uities. Evangelists from around the world came to proclaim God’s love to them and Missionary Boniface was one of them. Boniface went to the villages in East Germany to proclaim Jesus' love to those peo- ple, who worshiped many deities. The villagers were not interested in listening to him. They hated him and humiliated him as an alien. Even after all that, Missionary) Boniface did not get disheartened. Started to do good n Boniface was filled with God’s love and started doing many good things for them. He educated the little children and taught them the scriptures also. Howev- er, this didn’t go well with the villagers, so they be- gan to hurt him. Even then, he continued to serve his God and prayed for them daily with the Lord. Jesus created: There was a large oak tree in the middle of the vil- lage. The women of the village treated this oak tree as God and worshipped it. They gathered around the tree for a big ceremony. That night, Boniface told the villagers that Jesus Christ created this universe, this earth, all those living on this earth and even that oak

11 tree. He also proclaimed that Jesus Christ has the power to destroy this tree. However, those people didn’t believe in him and ridiculed him. Wind blew up, and the tree fell Nevertheless, Boniface was not put off by that. He prayed and began to cut down the tree with an axe. p Then, a horrific hurricane began to blow and every- one was shocked. Eventually, the tree was blown away by the wind. The villagers were terrified to see oak tree) this. Then, Boniface spoke out to them clearly about Jesus' love, crucifixion and resurrection. Then, for the first time, all the villagers knelt in from of Lord Jesus. Began to worship the Lord Boniface built a beautiful church on the exact site, where he cut down the oak tree. All the villagers accepted Lord Jesus and began to worship Him in that church. In a few years, the whole nation of Ger- many became a Christian nation. Dear children, did you learn how great our Lord Jesus Christ is? Therefore, read His Word daily and pray regularly. The Lord will do great things in your life. May the Lord Jesus bless you. The Lord will perfect that which concerns me (Psalm 138: 8) The LORD will perfect that which concerns me To Be continued…

12 For Youth History and truth: Dear brothers and sisters, on behalf of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, I wish you all. The Doctor named James Simpson: In this editorial, we wish to remind you all about a true incident with an article entitled ‘History and the truth’. Until the end of the 17th century, many people lost arms and legs because of the war happening in Europe and the neighbouring nations and were un- dergoing surgeries for replacement. The scream of patients undergoing this surgery wasn’t an unusual sight. In this scenario, a doctor from Scotland, James Simpson was working and he was a firm believer of God who was brought up in Christian faith. Deeply burdened by seeing his patients’ suffering he was reading the Bible. When he was meditating on the word of God, he saw the verse Genesis 2:21that touched his heart. He understood that the Sovereign God gave man (Adam) deep sleep to conduct the surgery through this verse. So based on this verse (Gen 2:21), he start- ed his research that led to the discovery of Chloro- form as the first anesthetic. The entire world was surprised and benefited by this discovery. Massive change in the surgical proceedings: As a result of this, there was a huge development in the surgical treatment procedures and Dr. James Simpson was solely responsible for this change. He lived during 1811-1870 and went on to become a person who made a significant contribution to the medical field. Through the life of James Simpson many other lives were saved and the main reason behind this is the Holy Bible. Chrolorophom) Do you not love the word of God? Do you still stay away from the word of God? Start developing a keen eye to love the word of God and meditate on it from this day forward. If you begin to Sri lames inculcate the love for the Holy Bible and start medi- simpson - tating on it you will surely observe Gods guidance and blessings in your life and the world will be sur- prised by the fact that you are blessed by God. God wishes for us to be blessed to be a blessing. So make a decision today to connect your life with God. The law of the LORD is perfect, refreshing the soul. The statutes of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple. Psalms 19:7

13 Dear brothers and sisters, to be a witness for the truth, to create history, God has called us and given us an opportunity. Decide to submit your life to Him and to turn into righteousness. Dearly beloved youths God is calling us to make a decision today and I praise God for those of you who decide to trust and obey the Almighty. May God bless you all.

Metamorphosis

For we are God’s fellow-workers; you are God’s field, God’s building. There is inexhaustible worth in God’s Word and 1 Corinthians 3:9 is a great example. What Paul wrote to an audience in Corinth, has endured into the 21st century. The Holy Spirit led Paul in dramatic and dynamic ways, in this instance too, the Holy Spirit

14 made sure Paul’s words still pack a punch as we read them today. This Bible verse might be a familiar one, yet, there is more to it than what initially meets the eye. Let’s take a closer look… The metaphor of a field and building is intriguing when consid- ered with the emphasis on the word “God’s”, that is used thrice. The sense here is that of a metamorphosis as a believer is trans- formed from a field to become a fellow-worker working the field. All the way through the transformation, that which is being transformed, is God’s very own. He is actively involved bringing about the change. God’s Fellow Worker When you are a worker (like Paul and Apollos were) you are sent into God’s harvest field (Matthew 9:38) to gather the wheat and bring it into His barn (Matthew 13:30). You are not alone in your endeavours, the Lord himself is working with you (Mark 16:20). However, the sphere of His work and of your work is distinct, yet, contributing to the same result (salvation). You plant the field, but it is the Lord who causes it to grow. You harvest the field, but it is God who brings about the bountiful harvest. When you are God’s fellow-workers, you are people in His employ, people under His direction – You are God’s very own. But before you became a worker, you yourself were once a field. God’s Fellow Field When you are God’s field, you are under His care. It is important to note that the word translated ‘field’ in this verse occurs no- where else in the new testament. When correctly translated, it denotes a “tilled” or “cultivated field, not a field with weeds or rocks in it, but one with well-cultivated soil, that will produce a crop – a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown (Matthew 13:8). All the good that is produced in you can only be traced to God’s cultivation. God sends his workers into your life and He works through them and the Holy Spirit to transform you, so that one day you become God’s fellow workers. Right now, you might only be a field – Buy you are still God’s very own. God’s Building When you are God’s building (also see Ephesians 2:21, Hebrews 3:6 and 1 Peter 2:5), it is He who builds you and intends to dwell in you. The bricklayer, the joiner, the decorator, the roofer, the scaffolder, the plumber and the electrician all the building. But it is God who is the architect, it is He who designs the building and under whose direction the whole work is accomplished. When the building stands on solid foundation, tall, strong and beauti- ful, God himself comes to dwell in you as you are God’s very own.

15 - God’s Very Own My dearest in the Lord, God wants to use you in whatever sphere of influence He places you in, to further His kingdom. You might start off as a field but when you begin to produce a crop “a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown” your metamor- phosis is accomplished and you become God’s fel- low-worker, matured in Christ and ready to be used to nurture His fields, gather His harvest and build his buildings. All along the journey, you are God’s, His very own, you belong to the Lord Himself, and He is transforming you. 16 Coram Deo - In the presence of God

My soul longs, yes, faints for the courts of the Lord; my heart and flesh sing for joy to the living God. Psalm 84:2 In Psalm 84:1-7, 10, the psalmist longs to be in the presence of God and sing his praises. He - longs to be in God’s temple and is joyous at the thought of it, being amazed even at small birds that made their nests near the altar of God. Yet, the temple is only a copy and shadow of heaven, God’s dwelling place (Hebrews 8:5). After the fall, Adam and Eve were banished from God’s presence (Genesis 3:23) and God’s dwelling was no longer with man. The thrice holy God could not have His presence among sinful men. But in Christ we see that God once again made his dwelling among men (John 1:14). This is specifi- cally seen in every believer who puts their trust in Jesus, that all three persons of the Godhead dwell in them (John 14:17, 23). The longing of psalmist is now satisfied in Christ because of whom, we ourselves are God’s temple and the - Spirit of God dwells in us (1Corinthians 3:16). We now live our lives praising God for the great salvation he has wrought (1Peter 1:3-5). This is not the end of story but there is a better ending or should I say the beginning? There will come a time in future when men will be completely removed from the presence of sin and will dwell with God forever (Revelation 21:3). As the psalm- ist says, blessed are such people (Psalm 84:4). What does the truth of Psalm 84 mean to us in our present life? Some of you have put your faith in Christ but don’t feel like you are pro- gressing in your walk with the Lord. Constantly juggling things of this world and trying to find time with God too. Often the sin present in us causes us to be distracted with what this world offers.

17 During times that our hearts chase after vanities of this world, this text reminds us, it is better to rest in his presence than dwell in the world (Psalm 84:10). Take heart and know that when your heart is seeking the kingdom path, the strength for it comes from - the Lord (Psalm 84:5) as he is with us and in us. Even on the worst days, we don’t lose heart but go from strength to strength till we appear before him (Psalm 84:7). Next time we are bogged down by to- do lists and things we have to achieve, we can re- member that our ultimate satisfaction and joy can be found in God alone. Walk boldly and joyously for he is your sun and shield (Psalm 84:11). Some of you reading this today are running the race of life without any understanding of eternity, with- out any desire to love God or spend time with him. The things of this world and this present life is more important to you but Psalm 84:4, 12 tells us that true blessedness is for those who trust in God and dwell in his presence. If you put your trust in Jesus, God himself dwells in you. Pause, and understand the intensity of what that means. The God of this uni- verse dwells in men whom he chose even before the foundation of the world was laid (Ephesians 1:4). He himself becomes your sun and shield and will not withhold any good thing from you (Psalm 84:11). Now we must address the question, “what does it mean that ‘the Lord will not withhold any good thing from you’”? What does it mean to say God is good, all the time! All the time, God is good! I urge you to ponder upon this through God’s word and next time we will see the Biblical understanding of God’s goodness. As we begin this New Year, let us examine our lives and plead with God to give us the joy of his pres- ence. This New Year let us strive to live our lives Coram Deo -Sheeja Jacobson

For Entrepreneurs A Dreamer Are you living a life of failure and loss? Our Lord Jesus Christ defeated Satan on the cross. Therefore, our victory has also happened over the cross. If you need anything, just look at Jesus Christ hanging on the cross. The faces that looked up at him turned bright. He will change all the defeats in your life and return in multiples all that you have lost. All things are possible for God. So dedicate yourself to the fulfillment of God's will. He will be with you and will accomplish what He has intended to do for you. Frederick, a young man, was educated in technolo- gy. He chose a fantastic project. However, his teacher dismissed it saying that it was useless and

19 gave him low marks. So, he failed the exam, and was unable to graduate. When he was 27 years old, he began to reactivate the project. His plan is to collect postage and parcels from all over the city, segregate and send them off overnight. So, that the next morning the recipient should be able to receive the parcel. This gave birth to the courier service business. It had a massive welcome among the people. He leased the airplanes and hired pilots. Today, it is a world- renowned (Federal Express) courier company. “Go, my son, with this strength that you have. My grace is now coming upon you. Whatever I want to do with you, I will do through you, ”says our God Almighty. “A little one shall become a thou- sand” (Isaiah 60:22) Dear friend, do not back down when others discour- age you. God chooses to bless you and wants you to succeed. When he is yours, no one can oppose you; Your success is unstoppable. God, who gives us the victory through the Lord Jesus Christ, is always with us. So do not be discouraged! He will surely show you the road to success. Amen But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 15:57)

Message of Messiah through scriptures Greetings, my dear brothers and sisters in Christ! Hope Christmas season was a blessing and hope the new year we get to see our saviour lifted in this world even higher. Let us pray for a year where we grow in His Word and receive rich blessings by un- derstanding his message. 20 We know God’s inspired and inerrant Word is given to us for many reasons: to teach us, rebuke us, cor- rect us, and instruct us in righteousness; it is also given so that we may be complete and equipped for every good work (2 Timothy 3:16–17). By understand- ing his Word, we can find direction for our lives and - learn how to best serve the Lord who gave His life for all of us who believe. Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life. (Jhn 5:39-40) These are Christ’s words after he had performed a few healings. He then goes on to explain the signifi- cance of Sabbath and His relationship with Father God. Our Lord then explains why we should believe Him. He gives many reasons. We should believe Him because of what John the Baptist testified. We should believe Him because of the works He per- - formed. We should believe him because of His Fa- ther’s witness. That should be the final word for all practical purposes. But Jesus adds this powerful verse to his sermon – We are commanded to believe Him because the scriptures say so. What exactly does Christ mean by this verse? By this He means that the entire Bible’s theme is Jesus Christ and His sacrifice for the redemption of man- kind. The blood of Christ runs throughout the entire Bible, symbolically. As we read and study the scrip- tures, we ought to see Jesus in every book and every page. He expected his disciples to understand this. After his resurrection on the road to Emmaus, he was annoyed when his disciples failed to recognize His life events. He gave them a bible study on this theme. How we wish we were there! He said, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken: Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter his glory? And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he ex- pounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself. (Luke 24:25-27) Friends, taking our Lord’s instruction to read the scripture seriously to see the image of Him as the focus is important. Why don't we do this. Let us picture ourselves on the road to Emmaus. Let us open His Word and understand this scarlet thread that runs through the Bible. - 21 Let us take this journey from the Garden of Eden to Revelation where the Angel asserts the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of Prophecy. (Rev 19:10). It is going to be a long journey. But it will be worth the ride! Godspeed! Amen.
