Functional sportswear brand Craft has signed a 2-year contract with Finnish world-class biathlete Kaisa Mäkäräinen. The partnership means that the world champion will train and race wearing Craft products as well as play a major part in the development of the brand's new products.

"She's one of the best biathletes in the world and a great source of inspiration when it comes to sports and determination. She will be a great ambassador for our brand and an excellent collaborator in the development of our products." Craft is already having a fruitful partnership with the Finnish biathlon national team, which means Kaisa is used to race in a Craft outfit. From now on she will also race in Craft’s advanced Podium Leather Glove.

“For me it´s really important that all my gear and equipment are at the highest level. And in biathlon gloves are even more important than in cross country. You need to feel the trigger the right way and you must be able to handle the rifle and ammunition. At the same time your fingers have to be kept warm. I looked a long time for the perfect glove and now I think I´ve found it. I love the Podium Leather Glove!” says Kaisa, who won the 10 km pursuit event at the 2011 world championships.

On her road to future success, Craft will provide Kaisa with all her clothing requirements, including Podium Leather Glove, training clothes, baselayers, accessories, recovery clothes and leisurewear.The collaboration also means that she will play a key role in Craft’s R&D process for the development of new products.

The 2-year contract between Craft and Kaisa Mäkäräinen spans over the 2017/18 season.
