Bank of Baroda acquires the Naming Rights of Metro Station

In yet another brand building pursuit, Bank of Baroda, India’s second largest bank has again created a buzz in the branding space by acquiring the naming rights of Andheri Metro Station. From 15th Nov 2016, the station will be called as Bank of Baroda, Andheri. The strategically located Bank of Baroda, Andheri, will enhance the visibility of the brand and will also offer opportunity to design innovative engagement platforms to communicate with the commuters.

Bank of Baroda, will be the first Bank in to experiment with Naming Rights as a tool to showcase the credentials of Bank to about 1.4 lac commuters who will travel daily from Bank of Baroda, Andheri, to different locations in Mumbai. Bank of Baroda, Andheri is one the busiest stations on with 20% of the passenger travelling through the station. Bank of Baroda Andheri, works as interchange station for commuters traveling between Western and Harbour or Central Line of Mumbai Local.

The Bank would be installing the state-of-the-art machines to offer a unique banking experience to the commuters. The Bank is also planning to install an account opening machine wherein a commuter can open a saving bank account without visiting the branch and without any human intervention.

Shri Mayank Mehta, Executive Director, Bank of Baroda, speaking on the occasion said “We are happy to announce the naming of Andheri Metro Station as ‘Bank of Baroda Andheri. It is a unique move by the Bank and will go a long way in repositioning the brand at a new height in banking landscape. Bank of Baroda, Andheri, will be a marquee property and will be offering a different banking experience to the commuters.”

Bank of Baroda had recently acquired the naming rights of Sikandarpur Metro Station in Gurugram and Bank of Baroda Andheri will be the second station naming rights which has been acquired by the Bank.
