The inspiration for the “accidental pop song” came after a night out together in Bergen. It was just one of 5 tracks inspired by each other’s company, which compelled Röyksopp and Robyn to create something they had never done before. The ‘Do It Again’ mini album represents the perfect coming together of three very original musical minds. Röyksopp and Robyn unveiled a clip last week from ‘Monument’, the first track on the mini album: Se video på YouTube her The ‘Do It Again’ tour with Röyksopp and Robyn, already described as one of the most exciting tours of the Summer, begins at Sonar Festival in Spain on 13th June 2014, and includes a headline slot on the BBC Radio 6 music stage at Latitude Festival on 19th July.     WILLIE ROBYN: A RECORDING ARTIST IN THE 19205 (PART 2) By Tim Brooks Victor to Cameo The early 1920s must have been a heady time for young Robyn, with an exclusive Victor contract, a burgeoning stage and radio career, excellent reviews for his concert work, and talk of the Met. But by 1923 he had hit a plateau. The first setback was the loss ofhis agent, the enthusiastic Hugo Boucek. Boucek had run up large bills publicizing his artists. The economic depression of 1921-22 cut into concert revenues, and many concerts were canceled outright. Deeply in debt, Boucek skipped town, never to be heard from again. Left in the lurch, Robyn did not secure another agent, a move he later felt was a mistake. "I was the most mismanaged person that ever lived," he ruefully explained. The first matter he had to deal with was the expiration of his three-year Victor contract, in mid-1923. Victor was happy to renew, but for the same $7,000 per year as the previous term, and with Robyn still pretty much limited to the foreign series. Robyn insisted on more money, and another chance at popular recording. He made a new popular trial, "Dearest," on April 11th with Nat Shilkret accompanying on piano. Robyn scouted around for other options, and even made a test for Edison on May 24th. The test was reviewed by Thomas Edison himself, who noted of Robyn, 1 Has loud tremolo. Sings too loud. Duoen hadde et innholdsrikt 2014 som endte med en rekke internasjonale Grammy-nominasjoner etter å ha gitt ut to kritikerroste album på ett år. Duoen ga ut deres femte og siste album "The Inevitable End" og mini- albumet med svenske Robyn "Do It Again". Röyksopp & Robyn ble nominert til en Grammy for «Beste Elektroniske Album» for «Do It Again». Mini-albumet gikk inn på Billboards albumliste som nummer 14, det høyeste noensinne for en norsk artist. Også singelen “Do It Again” ble nummer 2 på Billboards liste over «Beste klubblåter i 2014». I tillegg fikk de to Spellemannpris nominasjoner i Norge for «Beste Pop Album» og «Beste Komposisjon» og to svenske Grammy-nominasjoner for «Beste Video». «Do It Again»ble nummer 1 på iTunes i hele 10 land, inkludert Storbritannia, USA, Tyskland, Sverige, Holland, Canada og Japan, og kom inn i topp 10 på iTunes albumlista i en rekke land inkludert USA, Australia og Frankrike.
