VDK is all about letting the music do the talking, without any of the expectation associated with A1 divulging an artist’s name and therefore knowledge of their past productions, therefore each artist remains anonymous. We start proceedings with 001, a hypnotic journey with a healthy dose of retro-infused organ riffing that glistens over the top of a garage house beat, punctuated with hypnotic flute sounds and delirious vocal samples. 002 features fizzing top end percussion that carries the warping synth stabs A2 throughout the mix. Distant chatter and indistinct snippets of heavily treated spoken snippets ebb and flow around the other elements of the track making for hazy evening atmospherics. On the flip and closing out the collection is the B-side, 003. A progressive peak-timer, the percussion underpins a selection of discombobulating vocal arrangements that pan around to dizzying effect. We have finally come to the second release of Abstrakt Minded Records. After a small period of wait, and the good success of the Herck’s remix in AMR001, the owners Friedrich Becker and Sabèr have found the A1 right artist to propose for the new release. Denis Kaznacheev, the owner of Nervmusic itself, seemed like the best move at this time. With his eclectic sound he proved to be one of the best producer in the underground scene during the last years, showing technical skills that are uncommon and definitely have the power of knowing how to treat the crowd during playing. AMR002 contains two originals, side A and side B. Kaznacheev received total freedom in doing what he can do at his best, this is the reason why he had the possibility to spread his technical skills throughout these two long compositions, which are long B1 enough to tell a story. Both tracks are based on a live arrangement that gives the sense of change at every beat, and a constant moving groove. Taken from the original masters provided by Danny Hyde, "The Gay Man's Guide To Safer Sex" features a new sexy edit of the main theme. TECHNO SWE Victor first released on Drumcode last year on their most recent edition of the famous A-Sides Vol.7 compilation with his colossal track ‘Pulso’. Victor has been relentless when it comes to producing absolutely huge sounding tracks, which are heavily suited to the big club room vibe. This May he steps up A1 for his debut EP on Drumcode with ‘Nimbus’. The title track ‘Nimbus’ marked an important milestone in his life, his arrival to Berlin, his new home. Due to the lack of studio space and set up, he made Nimbus entirely with headphones and laptop. A piercing track with a punctuated kick drum that cuts through the mix, alongside some industrial tones which build an eerie tension. A track that really sits on the darker side of the progressive techno world. Victor explains that this release is “very much a mix of old and new” representing two stages of his life. ‘Unveil’ was a track he produced back in Sao Paulo, when day B1 dreaming of his move to Europe. The Hivern split series was born as a platform for those club tracks that don't need of a broader ecosystem to fully express themselves. But also as a way of generating a sort of unplanned dialogue between artists in A1 the label's orbit, connecting the dots amid them in spontaneous and almost unconscious ways. The new installment of the series is a good example of the latter. When John Talabot and Khidja made their respective tracks they probably didn't had each other's work in mind. But in many ways 'Immediate Crash Alert' and 'M?quinas Maravillosas' inhabit in the same sonic world. Both tracks have slowish tempos, are built around obsessive motifs and make an outlandish use of delays. But, maybe more significantly, they both share the same kind of vibe. An unsettling and menacing atmosphere, fruit of masterful exercises on B1 tension building, that seems tailored for those early moments in a set when you feel the need to rise the pressure without causing too much of a blast. With all, both tracks are prime examples that's there's space for functional tracks away from the most obvious paths. And that's the ultimate purpose of the series

First up on the A-side is the title track - a complex and A1 textured piece, full of intricate percussion and sonic detail. The track evokes a sense of journey, with synth pads building and working through stages of crescendo and release. A percussive, punchy bassline holds steady throughout, giving a sense of time pushing ever-forwards. Fentz uses delicate, gentle touches to create an inviting, warm atmosphere. Throughout the album we get to know a kind of isolated character express his A4 bitter emotions and pity for humanity. A misanthrope who is outside the common society and sometimes A5 with a sense of jealousy tries to reach out towards it. David Javelosa (aka David Microwave) founder A4 of Los Microwaves with Meg Brazil and Todd Rosa — were a San Francisco trio in which synthesizers A5 predominated. Although they issued 45s as early as 1979, their debut album came out in 1981, by which time leader Javelosa had done a five-song, 12-inch EP on his own, using musicians outside his band. B1 Javelosa's solo effort offers straightforward synthesized pop music with swirling keyboards (including B2 familiar-sounding organ), acoustic drums and engaging vocals. The record shows polish, but retains a B3 slightly amateurish sense, making it paradoxically complex and simple at the same time B4 B5

Again aided by veteran Seattle-born multi-instrumentalist Jon B1 Keliehor (James Brown, The Doors, Peter Murphy/Bauhaus, The Daily Flash, Emotional Response, Optimo Music) on suling (Indonesian flute) and percussion, Komodo Kolektif seem to have explored even more B2 meditative and profoundly esoteric avenues than they did with “Sumantras”

The legendary Pink Floyd concert at the First International Pop Festival in Rome in May 1968. This well A1 recorded performance captures Waters, Gilmour, Wright and Mason in their very early Post-Barrett era, the time when the band was busy trying to reinvent themselves after the crucial split with genius Syd Barrett. A2 This was even before the release of their second album, when Waters and Co. really began to extend the classic three & four minute song format towards longer and more open sound forms. A marvelous track list including seminal compositions and psychedelic manifestos such as "Astronomy Domine", "Set The Control B1 for the Heart of the Sun" and "Interstellar Overdrive" all great sparks for visionary instrumental progressions and far out improvisations. Originally A2 released in 2002, “Harnessed the Storm” was conceived as the opening chapter of the legendary Seven B1 Storms – a series of seven albums created within a single year and released via several labels under different names. “Harnessed the Storm” was the sole one in the series credited under the main Drexciya B2 project. The album, which is considered to be one of the pair's darkest, was produced in a time of creative outbreak and emotional turbulence. The duo's confidence was at a peak, new techniques revolutionized C1 musical production, but the duo also had to face Stinson's severe health issues. This led to a radical shift of pace in producing and releasing music. For the Detroit pair it was time to move on from their ground- C2 breaking past. It was time for some shape shifting and wave jumping to occur, in Drexciya’s terms. This is D1 reflected two-folds on the ten cuts of “Harnessed the Storm”

Meet Karlsson, who receives a colorful tribute by Perel on her first record for the Dresden-based label Uncanny Valley. After all, there is nothing better than the soothing purr of your own personal tomcat to come down from exhausting DJ gigs and studio sessions. A2 The title track is a fiery excursion into rave heaven covered with Italo-flags. While Perel goes manta-like about a diet for KARLSSON, listeners are wrapped in anthemic synths. MONTEIRO DA COSTA on the other B1 hand is a paranoid love letter to Perel's best friend and a lesson in causing dance mania. The synths continue to spiral upwards to the point where there is no coming back. On the flipside, KARLSSON gets the remix treatment twice. First, BLOODY MARY tucks him into a compelling and classic acid corset. KIM ANN B2 FOXMAN then recreates Karlsson as a toy robot that just discovered house music
