Ed Sheeran was / were born on February 17, 1991, in Halifax, in the United Kingdom. He begin / began playing guitar at a young age and soon after started / starts writing his own songs. When he were / was just a teenager, he moved / moving to London to pursue his music. In 2010, Sheeran posting / posted many videos online. One of them gets / got the attention of Example, a rapper and he asked / asking Sheeran to go on tour with him. Later that year, Ed writed / wrote many new songs and released three new EPs. Some of his most popular songs are: ‘Photograph’, ‘I See Fire’ (from the film ‘The Hobbit’), and ‘Thinking Out Loud.’ This last song win / won the Grammy for Song of the Year in 2016.

In 2017, he released / release the album ‘Divide,’ which included / includes the songs ‘Shape of You’ and ‘Castle on the Hill’. He also announce / announced a world tour. His new album breaked / broke a Spotify record with 56.7 million listens in 24 hours. On December 7, 2017, Sheeran was / were made a member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire for his services to music and charity.

A few weeks later, Ed get / got engaged to his girlfriend Cherry Seaborn just before New Year. Months later, he reveals / revealed that they got married in secret. He said / say that he's never "too public" about such personal details.
