R. Muralikrishnan T. R. The presidential address was delivered by Dr. Biju, Principal, MES College Marampally. Dr. Biju, briefed upon the importance of education, with special regard to the current period education system. The session was inaugurated by Dr. A. V. George, the honourable Vice Chancellor of M. G. University, Kottayam. During his inaugural address, sir stressed upon the importance of value based education to the new generation and threw light on the various advantageous aspects of the current day educational changes. He also spoke on the importance of focussed education for sustainability and also spoke about the various diverse opportunities along with the challenges in the current world. Further, Dr. Zakkariya K. A., the Secretary and Correspondent of MES college Marampally gave the keynote address where he spoke on the need for passion in teaching to create an effectively educated society. He also spoke of the importance of application based teaching in grasping good opportunities. This was followed by an address by Mr. Zakeer Hussain, the Treasurer of MES College Managing Committee and the enthusiastic speech was directed towards the evolution of the education system and how educating a society can help in the overall development of the country in all aspects.
