  • Audemars Piguet Ambassador Henrik Stenson Wins the Wyndham Championship
AUDEMARS PIGUET AMBASSADOR HENRIK STENSON WINS THE WYNDHAM CHAMPIONSHIP Henrik Stenson at the Wyndham Championship Le Brassus, Tuesday 22nd August 2017 – Henrik Stenson breaks tournament record and secures his first victory of the 2017 season at the Wyndham Championship in Greensboro, US, on Sunday 20th August. With four birdies on the last six holes and a final day score of 64, Henrik finished on 22-under par to take his 6th PGA Tour title. This makes him the most decorated male Swedish player on the American circuit. On the way to his 20th professional win, Henrik took his driver out of the bag and only used his 3- and 4-wood or long irons off the tee. After Ollie Schniederjans birdied holes 17 and 18 in an impressive manner to finish on 21-under, Henrik demonstrated excellent composure and holed a remarkable 30- foot putt on hole 17 followed by par on the final hole to take the trophy. It is Stenson’s first victory since winning The Open Championship in July 2016 in an unforgettable battle against Phil Mickelson. Thanks to this, the Audemars Piguet ambassador boosted his chances for the FedEx Playoffs moving from 75th to 23rd place going into the Northern Trust. "It's certainly a good time to start firing," Stenson said. "We know the kind of damage you can do in the playoffs. ... If you get hot and keep on playing well, you have a chance to challenge." This title is the result of continuous hard work and incredible passion for the game. Breaking the tournament and course record this weekend Henrik Stenson exemplifies Audemars Piguet’s brand philosophy “To break the rules, you must first master them”.

Winds NW 5-10 mph. 36-hole cut: 71 players at 1-under 143 from a field of 120 professionals Second-Round Leaderboard David Lingmerth 67-65—132 (-12) Jason Dufner 66-67—133 (-11) Ryan Moore 67-67—134 (-10) Andy Sullivan 70-64—134 (-10) David Lingmerth Following a 5-under 67 Thursday, Sweden’s David Lingmerth made seven birdies and no bogeys en route to a second-round, 7-under 65. Lingmerth ended his round with a birdie at his last, No. 18, which was round one’s most difficult. This marks only the second time Lingmerth has held a lead/co-lead after any round on the PGA TOUR. After 54 holes of the 2013 PLAYERS Championship, he was tied for the lead, before finishing T2. In round two, Lingmerth found 12 of 14 fairways in regulation and hit 14 of 18 greens. He took 25 strokes with his putter. Having missed the cut in four of his last five starts, Lingmerth comes to this week’s Memorial Tournament not exactly riding a wave of momentum. Lingmerth is making his 68 th career start on the PGA TOUR this week, and remains in search of his first top-10 finish since the 2014 Crowne Plaza invitational at Colonial (T5).

2016 World Golf Championships–Cadillac Championship (The 16th of 43 events in the PGA TOUR Season) Doral, Fla. March 3-6, 2016 Purse: $9,500,000 Trump National Doral-Blue Monster Par/Yards: 72/7,543 Final-Round Notes – Sunday, March 06, 2016 Weather Sunday: Mostly sunny skies with a high in the low 80s. Northerly winds increased to 15-25 mph in the afternoon. Final Leaderboard 1 Adam Scott 68-66-73-69—276 (-12) 2 Bubba Watson 69-69-71-68—277 (-11) T3 Danny Willett 68-69-72-69—278 (-10) T3 Rory McIlroy 71-65-68-74—278 (-10) 5 Phil Mickelson 67-72-70-70—279 (-9) 6 Jimmy Walker 69-72-73-66—280 (-8) Winner Stats After nine holes of the final round, four players, Bubba Watson, Danny Willett, Phil Mickelson and Rory McIlroy, made the turn tied for the lead at 10-under and a back-nine shootout looked likely. It was Adam Scott, who made the turn at 8-under, who came from behind after starting the day three strokes behind Rory McIlroy. Scott began with a birdie on the opening hole before a pair of double bogeys at Nos. 3 and 5 halted his challenge. Scott then played the last 13 holes in 6-under par. After driving behind a tree on the final hole, Scott bravely tried to cut his second shot around the tree and over the water. His ball came to rest on the grassy bank inside the water hazard left of the green. Scott chipped to 6’ 8” below the hole and made the putt to win in back-to-back weeks on the PGA TOUR.
