Audemars Piguet Ambassador Henrik Stenson Wins the Wyndham Championship AUDEMARS PIGUET AMBASSADOR HENRIK STENSON WINS THE WYNDHAM CHAMPIONSHIP Henrik Stenson at the Wyndham Championship Le Brassus, Tuesday 22nd August 2017 – Henrik Stenson breaks tournament record and secures his first victory of the 2017 season at the Wyndham Championship in Greensboro, US, on Sunday 20th August. With four birdies on the last six holes and a final day score of 64, Henrik finished on 22-under par to take his 6th PGA Tour title. This makes him the most decorated male Swedish player on the American circuit. On the way to his 20th professional win, Henrik took his driver out of the bag and only used his 3- and 4-wood or long irons off the tee. After Ollie Schniederjans birdied holes 17 and 18 in an impressive manner to finish on 21-under, Henrik demonstrated excellent composure and holed a remarkable 30- foot putt on hole 17 followed by par on the final hole to take the trophy. It is Stenson’s first victory since winning The Open Championship in July 2016 in an unforgettable battle against Phil Mickelson. Thanks to this, the Audemars Piguet ambassador boosted his chances for the FedEx Playoffs moving from 75th to 23rd place going into the Northern Trust. "It's certainly a good time to start firing," Stenson said. "We know the kind of damage you can do in the playoffs. ... If you get hot and keep on playing well, you have a chance to challenge." This title is the result of continuous hard work and incredible passion for the game. Quite inadvertently, he also sowed the seeds of a business operation that today consists of 31 golf facilities and generates hundreds of millions of dollars in annual revenues for the PGA Tour. Called the TPC Network, it currently comprises private, public and daily-fee courses that serve recreational golfers throughout the United States as well as in Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Colombia and Malaysia. Several of those layouts also act as venues for PGA Tour, PGA Tour Champions and Korn Ferry Tour events, such as TPC River Highlands outside Hartford, Connecticut, the home of the Travelers Championship, and TPC Southwind in Memphis, Tennessee, where the WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational was held last month. This year’s PGA Championship was staged at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco, California, and the first tournament of the 2020 FedEx Cup playoffs, the Northern Trust, is being played this weekend at TPC Boston. That is an impressive collection. Equally as significant is how that division of the tour is thriving as it celebrates its 40th anniversary this year. Designed largely by Pete and Alice Dye with significant impact from Beman, TPC Sawgrass was the first piece of that portfolio when it opened in the fall of 1980. Many industry observers, including a number of his tour professionals, considered it a risky venture.

McDowell has recorded four straight top-10 finishes in World Golf Championship events. In 2013 McDowell finished solo third with a 268 20-under-par total for the week. Through five rounds at Sheshan International GC McDowell’s scoring average is 66.60. Last season McDowell missed just one cut and recorded a career-best eight top-10s in 17 starts and finished 56 th in the final FedExCup standings. His last win came at the 2013 RBC Heritage in a playoff over Webb Simpson. Coming into this week McDowell has led/co-led four times after the first round of a PGA TOUR most recently at the 2013 WGC-Cadillac Championship. McDowell’s first-round 67 is the lowest opening-round score in relation to par on TOUR since his 5-under 67 at THE PLAYERS Championship in 2011. McDowell’s lone professional victory in Asia came at in 2008 at The Championship at Laguna National previously known as the Ballatine Championship on the European Tour at Pinx Golf Club on the island of Jeju in South Korea.
