Hamilton’s the father of 6 boys.–a 26-year-old, a 23-year-old, a 17-year-old, 3-year-old twins and a 2 year old. So obviously, things get a little crazy around the holidays. He told us, “Everyone comes to my house. My boys come to my house. I be daddy and cook and clean and we go out to see my mom, just do all the Christmas stuff. I just watch them be happy. I don’t really expect anything. I don’t even get mad if I don’t get gifts because normally I get so much, so often. I’ve been so blessed. I get stuff all year long. That’s the time when I just focus on giving. I like to see them happy.” But it’s not always about material things in his house. Anthony continued, “It’s a time when I can show my appreciation and thank people for the support they give me. I love spending time with my kids and they always lend a hand when I get home. They help me with laundry or whatever it might be.” For Hamilton, the holidays are for giving back and showing appreciation, especially to his children. “It’s a good time to build people up. It’s a time of getting together and celebrating and appreciating one another. A time when people take off just to be close to family. Rejuvenating and getting together.” Once Hamilton rejuvenates throughout the holidays, he’s going to hit the ground running in 2015. “The top of the year is when I’m gonna get started recording again real heavy. I have some songs that I recorded over the last year and which are still good, still great. It’ll be a fresh start at the top of the year.
