In the following 26 years since our commencement of manufacturing operations, we have today in 2017 become one of the largest aftermarket suppliers to world markets in this product sector (M/Cycle disc brake pads). During this period of evolution and growth in our commercial operations; as a result of continuous heavy investment in R & D, we have successfully expanded our product range of sintered brake pads to incorporate aftermarket product to service the Aeronautical, Heavy-Duty Industrial Logistics Equipment (Lifting Cranes), Automotive Motorsport, Mountain Bike, and M/Cycle Motorsport Sidecar, commercial sales sectors. To continue to endevour to meet our customers evolving demands in the intensely competitive and critical commercial world we all operate in, Spacek Product continues to invest heavily in product R & D to maintain development of „new generation“ products, and to maintain our position at the technological forefront of the Sintered Friction Braking Industry. By basing our manufacturing facility in the Czech Republic which is world renowned for its engineering excellence since some 100 years past, we are able to oer our customers the perfect combination of world leading technology combined with a very competitive production cost base so that the customer and the consumer can purchase the best quality product at the most competitive price – with complete condence in the performance, durability, and reliability of the product. We commenced production in 2000 of a complete range of aftermarket Street and Motocross Disc Brake Rotors, applicable to most Japanese and European Sport and Touring M/Cycles, Scooters, ATV M/Cycles, and Motocross models. These Rotors are available in OEM round conguration, and in several other specialised aesthetic style congurations. One of our current priorities in our manufacturing program is to introduce graphic design elements to dierentiate and protect our GOLDfren branded product range from plagiarism from inferior product brands attempting to (without our authority) capitalise on our heavy investment in R & D and product promotion. It is our absolute priority to protect and to add value to our GOLDfren product reputation, to support and promote our customers marketing programs in their home markets throughout the world. Dear friends, Dear commercial partners; we thank you for your current and past support , and we are sure that you continue to value our eorts to oer you the best possible product technology and pricing that your market demands, and we are condent that you will value our GOLDfren product range as a „priority and preferred” product group in your inventory and marketing strategies. Motorcycle Crash Causation Study: Volume 2—Coding Manual PUBLICATION NO. FHWA-HRT-18-039 FEBRUARY 2019 Research, Development, and Technology Turner-Fairbank Highway Research Center 6300 Georgetown Pike McLean, VA 22101-2296 FOREWORD The Motorcycle Crash Causation Study, conducted through the Federal Highway Administration Office of Safety Research and Development, produced a wealth of information on the causal factors for motorcycle crashes, and its corresponding Volumes provide perspectives on what crash-countermeasure opportunities can be developed. This study used a crash- and control-case approach developed from the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development protocols, which as discussed in this report, has provided insights into more than 1,900 data elements that may be associated with motorcycle-crash causation. The research team produced a final report along with a 14-volume series of supplemental reports that provide an overview of the study and a summary of its observations, the data-collection forms and coding definitions, a tabulation of each data element collected from each form, and selected comparisons with previous studies. It is anticipated that readers will select those Volumes and data elements that provide information of specific interest. This document, Volume 2—Coding Manual, provides the coding conventions used in this study. It provides data that enable the proper interpretation and understanding of the codes assigned to variables of interest during the study. This report will be of interest to individuals involved in traffic safety, safety training, crash and injury reduction, and roadway design and policy making, as well as to motorcycle- and safety-equipment designers, crash investigators and researchers, motorcycle and automotive manufacturers and consumers, roadway users, and human-factors specialists.

personal electric vehicles GET MORE PERSONAL by Ted Dillard hen the term was coined, “personal electric vehicle” (PEV) meant almost exclusively electric cars. A Wdecade later, we’re seeing the resurrection of the electric car—almost every major automobile manufacturer has something in development. With the electric car movement behind them, a parade of PEVs—from something you can sling over your shoulder to a 100 mph-plus electric racing motorcycle—is coming down the pike. The price range for these vehicles is almost as extreme as the vehicles themselves. A few hundred dollars will buy SEGWAY X2 you an around-town scooter. A whole lot more will get you a custom-built, full-on race motorcycle. Even a year ago, many of these products were pipe dreams—pretty online prototypes, but not in actual production. Today, there are products that are available, affordable, and sitting on a showroom floor for you to see, Courtesy Segway touch, and ride. Stand-up Scooters We’ll start the tour with two extremes in the stand-up scooter market: Segway’s Personal Transporter and one of the ubiquitous Razor-type scooters. Both of these can be used for just about the same thing—getting around the city. At a retail price of about $8,000, the Segway is a premium product, commonly in use by police and security details. It weighs a little more than 100 pounds, and has a top speed of about 12.5 mph with a maximum range of 24 miles. A marvel of gyro-servo robotic technology, the Segway is controlled by the rider’s shifting weight.
