SIXIÈME RAPPORT NATIONAL SUR LA BIODIVERSITÉ EN TUNISIE SIXIÈME RAPPORT NATIONAL SUR LA BIODIVERSITÉ EN TUNISIE Octobre 2019 REMERCIEMENTS Le présent rapport est le fruit d’un important travail de concertation conduit sous le leadership du Ministère des Affaires Locales et de l’Environnement avec les différents départements ministériels et institutions sectorielles tant au niveau national que régional. L’élaboration de ce rapport a bénéficié d’un appui technique et financier dans le cadre du projet « Appui à l’élaboration du sixième rapport national sur biodiversité », financé par le Fonds pour l’Environnement Mondial (FEM) et le Programme des Nations Unies pour le Développement (PNUD). Le Ministère des Affaires Locales et de l’Environnement ainsi que le PNUD tiennent à remercier tous les partenaires nationaux et régionaux, y compris la société civile et les institutions professionnelles pour la bonne collaboration qui a facilité l’élaboration de ce rapport. Nos remerciements s’étendent également aux experts qui ont appuyé l’élaboration du rapport. Depuis sa création, le Ministère chargé de l’environnement se focalise sur l’engagement accru du pays sur la voie du progrès durable et les efforts déployés pour initier et instaurer une culture environnementale. Le Ministère des Affaires Locales et de l’Environnement assure plusieurs missions stratégiques dont notamment : • Proposer la politique générale de l’Etat dans les domaines de la protection de l’environnement, de la sauvegarde de la nature, de la promotion de la qualité de la vie et de la mise en place des fondements du développement durable dans les politiques générales et sectorielles de l’Etat et de veiller à son exécution ; · Œuvrer à l’intégration du concept de développement durable dans les stratégies et les plans nationaux et locaux ; Le PNUD est le réseau mondial de développement dont dispose le système des Nations Unies. Il prône le changement, et relie les pays aux connaissances, expériences et ressources dont leurs populations ont besoin pour améliorer leur vie. Le PNUD est présent sur le terrain dans 177 pays et territoires, l’aidant à identifier leurs propres solutions aux défis nationaux et mondiaux auxquels ils sont confrontés en matière de développement. HYPERLINK «http://www.undp.org» www.undp.org / HYPERLINK «http://www. tn.undp.org» www.tn.undp.org Le Fonds pour l’environnement mondial -FEM- (en anglais Global Environment Facility, GEF) est une organisation gérant un système de financement destiné à mener des actions pour la préservation de l’environnement. C’est une organisation financière qui accorde des financements aux projets liés à la biodiversité, la lutte contre les effets du réchauffement climatique, la pollution des eaux, la dégradation des sols, la réduction de la couche d’ozone et les polluants organiques persistants. Le FEM travaille en partenariat avec les institutions internationales, des organisations non gouvernementales, et des partenaires du secteur privé qui luttent contre les problèmes d’environnementaux à l’échelle mondiale.
