DAY 1: The tour commences at Karuah – late afternoon. Check into your DAY 1: Arrive at the Brooklyn Wharf @11am where our ‘Spirit Australia Cruises’ crew accommodation at the Karuah Motor Inn or Riverside Motel. Tonight, a welcome will greet you & collect luggage. Be welcomed aboard ‘Spirit II’ at the Brooklyn wharf dinner at the nearby RSL Club and meet with your “Spirit II” crew who will be your and cruise the lower reaches of the Hawkesbury, passing Dangar Island where the hosts over the next exciting days. OVERNIGHT KARUAH post is delivered to settlements by boat. We are now deep in the Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park, cruise on into Refuge Bay to view the stunning waterfall cascading DAY 2: Karuah River – Lemon Tree Passage – Nelson Bay – Port Stephens - Tea Gardens down the cliffs, then pass by Cottage Point and Bobbin Head before cruising further & Hawks Nest down to Pittwater exploring Elvina Bay before mooring at our overnight destination. Breakfast at a nearby venue. Your cases will be collected by our staff and taken directly OVERNIGHT: ‘METRO MIRAGE NEWPORT’ FOR DINNER, BED & BREAKFAST to our next accommodation. A short walk to the river where we board our ‘Spirit II’ cruise boat to commence the exciting days ahead exploring the “great lakes”. We first DAY 2: cruise on the Karuah River with its many oyster farms. Mid-afternoon we enter OVERNIGHT: ‘THE RETREAT AT WISEMAN’S FOR DINNER, BED & BREAKFAST the Myall River as it opens into the attractive Swan Bay and the holiday resort of Tea Gardens - along with the sister town – Hawks Nest. We pass under the “Singing DAY 3: Bridge” before berthing in the township of Tea Gardens. Tea Gardens is a beautiful After breakfast cruise upstream to historic Windsor for lunch and a visit to the holiday town and a delight to visit. A great location! OVERNIGHT TEA GARDENS Hawkesbury Regional Museum. Pass by lower Portland, Sackville and the Cattai National Park. After lunch we return to the boat and cruise back to Wiseman’s Ferry. DAY 3: Myall River – Bombah Broadwater – Nerong – Bulahdelah A relaxed day with wonderful Hawkesbury river scenery. We board our vessel. Throughout the next days we will be surrounded by the beautiful OVERNIGHT: ‘The Retreat at Wiseman’s’ for Dinner Bed & Breakfast Myall Lakes National Park. Re-enter the Myall river as we farewell Tea Gardens and pass by Brambles Green, Cherry Tree, Engels Reach and Pipers Creek. Picnic lunch DAY 4: enjoyed along the way. This afternoon we pass over the southern waters of the Enjoy breakfast before we board the boat one last time and cruise downstream and Bombah Broadwater and a deviation to visit pretty Nerong. Mid-afternoon we once enjoy morning tea onboard. We will conclude the cruise, dis-embark at the again once again enter the Myall River. Travelling over 20 kms upstream we arrive at Hawkesbury River Station at approximately 11:00am for your onward journey. Bulahdelah – our home for the next two nights. It is only a short transfer (or walk through the town if you wish!) to our accommodation. Dinner at our motel. OVERNIGHT BULAHDELAH How to get there: From Sydney airport - Airport Link offers a fast and convenient way to reach the Central Bus DAY 4: Myall River – Myall Shores – Two Mile Lake – Boolambayte Lake – Myall Lake station, with trains running approximately every 10 minutes. Following a relaxing lunch, we cross the three lakes – Two Mile, Boolambayte and By Car – Carparking in this area is very limited. Parking arrangements will be advised in passengers. Myall where our coach will be waiting at the Neranie boat ramp to transfer us back to final letter. our motel in Bulahdelah. Dinner at our motel. OVERNIGHT BULAHDELAH From Newcastle – From the CBD of Newcastle, take the train from Hamilton/Newcastle Interchange to ‘Hawkesbury River Station’. We suggest taking the 8.35am train, arriving at DAY 5: Pacific Palms - Coomba Park -Wallis Lake – Coolongolook & Wallamba Rivers – 10.27am. Our staff will be there to meet you. Forster.Breakfast and then we transfer to the northern shores of Lake Wallis where our boat and crew will be waiting at Pacific Palms to take us on our final day of exploring this wonderful area. We cruise on the waters of Wallis Lake and enjoy a catered picnic/barbecue at Coomba Park. We will also travel through the canal developments of Foster Keys. During the afternoon we explore sections of the two rivers in this area - the Coolongolook and Wallamba. Our cruise comes to an end as we pass by the popular holiday resort of Toncurry and arrive in Forster. Transfer to the nearby Forster Palms Motel. A special “farewell” to our “Spirit” crew over dinner tonight at the adjoining club. OVERNIGHT FORSTER
