Fem. Gramma loreto Poey, 1868. Type by monotypy. The genus is feminine, not neuter; etymology based on 'line'. •Valid as Gramma Poey, 1868 -- (Johnson 1984:465 [ref. 9681], Gill & Mooi 1993 [ref. 21341], Mooi & Gill 2003:1370 [ref. 27062], Mooi & Gill 2003:1371 [ref. 27062], Victor & Randall 2010:865 [ref. 31057]).
