GARRIS NAMED CIAA FOOTBALL DEFENSIVE BACK OF THE WEEK Roy Garris (Jr./Raleigh, NC) of Saint Augustine’s University was chosen CIAA CIAA STANDINGS Defensive Back of the Week on Tuesday, Sept. 11 for his career-high 13-tackle Northern Division Conf. Ovr. performance against North Carolina Central University on Saturday, Sept. 8. Garris Bowie State 2-0 4-1 was the game’s leading tackler in the loss to Central. His previous career-high was 11 Virginia Union 2-0 3-1 in 2017 against both Livingstone College and Fayetteville State University.
