Based on primary estimates, weaving every pair of OramiGiveh costs IRR 450,000 and it takes four days of weaving. During primary studies for marketing of this product it was revealed that each pair of OramiGiveh is purchased in a minimum amount of IRR 1,200,000 and accordingly each trainee might have an approximate income of IRR 4,500,000 through OramiGiveh weaving. OramiGiveh weaving does not require any complicated tools or specific place and can be easily done during daily chores; hence village community members can use their spare time for production and income generation activities. This was a measure based on the objective of the MENARID project towards establishing sustainable and alternative livelihood opportunities and also empowerment of local community in Zameleh village.

It is hoped that in the next phases it would be possible to provide such trainings for everyone. Considering the technical issues in sewing and the concept of commercializing it, the MENARID project has made an effort to contact centers such as hospitals, etc. in need of simple clothes in massive quantities and negotiations are made for such centers to place their order to the rural communities to provide a livelihood opportunity for them. Now, the emphasis of the project is on social aspects of learning sewing and empowerment of village women to cover their households’ needs which in turn shall contribute to the household economy.
