KYGO & WHITNEY HOUSTON RELEASE “HIGHER LOVE” MUSIC VIDEO VIDEO STARS RIVERDALE ACTRESS VANESSA MORGAN Global superstar, producer and DJ, Kyrre Gørvell-Dahll - a.k.a. Kygo releases the music video for his single “Higher Love” with Whitney Houston via RCA Records. The video showcases the bold makeup, eccentric wardrobes, and haristyles of the 1980’s, a nod to the time of Houston’s massive successes and stars Riverdale actress, Vanessa Morgan. Directed by Hanna Lux Davis, the video brings the nostalgia of the past with the contemporariness of the track. Click HERE to view! BUY/STREAM “HIGHER LOVE” Since its release, “Higher Love” has accumulated over 87 million Spotify streams, charted on Billboard’s Hot 100 and reached #1 on Billboard Dance Club Songs Chart. “Higher Love” is a cover of the 1986 Steve Winwood classic, which celebrated its 33rd anniversary on June 20th. The Whitney Houston estate presented Kygo with the archival recording of Whitney’s version, which was previously released as a Japan-only bonus track on her I’m Your Baby Tonight physical album in 1990. Upon hearing the Whitney track, Kygo raced into the studio, thrilled to be given the opportunity to make music with one of the greatest female vocalists of all time. “Higher Love” was written by Steve Winwood, Will Jennings and produced by Kyrre Gørvell-Dahll and Narada Michael Walden. A natural language interface is some- thing that could theoretically be implemented in a lot of applications but the complexity of most natural language processing algorithms is a limiting factor. The problem explored in this paper is whether a simpler algorithm that doesn’t make use of convoluted statistical models and machine learning can be good enough. We implemented two algorithms, one utilizing Spotify’s own search and one with a more accurate, o✏ine search. With the best precision we could muster being 81% at an average of 2,28 seconds per query this is not a viable solution for a complete and satisfactory user experience. BRING ME A HIGHER LOVE 7TH SUNDAY OF EASTER – ASCENSION PROPERS – MAY 24, 2020 BECKY ROBBINS-PENNIMAN CHURCH OF THE GOOD SHEPHERD, DUNEDIN, FL Which day this spring did everything really began to unravel for me? It was March 13th. That was the day I was planning to go to someone’s home, and they asked me to bring socks, because I’d need to take my shoes off in case I was dragging a virus around on the bottom of my feet. No problem, of course, but this was not normal. As we have lived through this remarkable spring, our experiences of the COVID-19 pandemic have not been uniform. For me, this spring has mostly been a very weird disruption in my routine. For some, thought, the days have been filled with life and death encounters. For others, this time has been one of anxiety, grief and disappointment. All of these realities are true for those of us in the midst of them. What were we supposed to do in this strange landscape? Some did acts of heroism, said words of hope, and brought people together. Some did acts of stupidity, said words of bitterness, and divided people into warring camps. As spring turns to summer, we – individually, nationally, and globally – need to figure out how to live NOW, when so very much is different. However, we each, individually, also haven’t changed much: the needs, habits, preferences, and dreams we had in, say, January, remain part of us, even if our plans for the future have totally unraveled.
