1 Message from Mrs Key Attendance Matters

We all know that excellent attendance is crucial to the success of our students. Governmental research shows a strong correlation between attendance and achievement. ‘Putting Achievement First’ requires that all students have excellent attendance, because ‘missing school for even a day can mean a child is less likely to achieve good grades, which can have a damaging effect on their life chances’. (Nick Gibb, Minister of State for Schools: 2017). Even We are incredibly impressed with the mature 96% attendance is a whole two weeks off way Year 11 students have approached their school each year. Research shows that first set of trial exams. I hope this means that attendance under 90% means a student is 50% we shall look forward to amazing results in less likely to achieve Grade 4s at GCSE. summer 2018.
