We’re so sorry you missed it, Richard (Forder), and that you are no longer part of our Committee. However, I’m sure you will still be there to share your knowledge when needed. One face amongst many to share our Reunion was Stephen Hutton. He joins our Committee for the future representing the 8 th Air Force which flew in partnership with RAF 100 Group, based in Norfolk. Stephen travelled from the States with his wife Pam to be our Guest Speaker and an introduction piece is included by him in this magazine. I would also share my unexpected pleasure and surprise in having my younger sister Gill join the Reunion all the way from the island of Mull in the Hebrides. By request, I have put her face next to mine in the photograph to introduce her to you. We have always been so close, and it was an absolute delight to have her share my world, with Kevan her partner joining us for a meal at The Plough on Friday evening, then seeing them again at the service at Horsham St Faith before the long ride home. -

East Lindsey Aviation History Trail (South) The trail begins at Boston and the route has been carefully planned so as to end there too. Route details between the different RAF bases. Section 1 Boston to RAF Coningsby From Boston, follow signs for the A17 towards Sleaford. At Hubberts Bridge Crossroads (next to a railway signal box, with markers indicating the distance to go) turn RIGHT and follow the sign posts for Coningsby. This road is the B1192, and you will need to follow it to New York - no joke, this one was here before the American one! At the crossroads in New York, just before the chapel on the left hand side, turn LEFT and follow the road along, round through the sharp right hand bend at Dogdyke, until you pass the RAF fuel dump on your left hand side. The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight visitors' car park is on the LEFT. N.B. If you do not wish to visit the Flight but would rather spend a few minutes watching the more modern (and noisy) Typhoons, Harriers and Tornadoes, there are ample places to park up either in the spotter's car park on the Dogdyke road, in the car park for the BBMF visitor centre and a few outside the fence by the front of the BBMF hangar. However, please do NOT block the large emergency gates in the fence, as they are to be kept clear at all times. Also, please try to avoid parking on the road, as it creates a dangerous obstruction to other users of the narrow roads around the base. -

This Annual Progress Report is a requirement of the Seventh Round of Review and Assessment and is a requirement for all local authorities. This Progress Report has been undertaken in accordance with the Technical Guidance LAQM.TG (16) and associated tools. It covers the six local authorities which encompass the North Wales region (The North Wales Authorities). 2014 Training Aircraft Used by the RAF Boot Camp & Military Fitness Institute 4/27/2014 Boot Camp & Military Training Aircraft Used by the Fitness Institute RAF TRAINING AIRCRAFT USED BY THE RAF Tutor T Mark 1: The Tutor is the military designation of the Grob 115E which began service in 1999, replacing the Bulldog. It is used by the Central Flying School and for elementary Weapon Systems Operator (WSO) training at the RAF College Cranwell. All of the Tutors in RAF service are provided by VT Group. Tucano: The Tucano is a basic flying trainer with a Brazilian design and American Garrett TPE331 turboprop. It seats two in tandem. It is used to develop students in a full range of skills, including general aircraft handling, formation flying and low-level navigation. King Air: The Beechcraft King Air B200 entered service with No.3 Flying Training School at RAF Cranwell in April 2004. It is used as an advanced, multi-engine pilot trainer by No 45 (Reserve) Squadron at RAF Cranwell. Hawk T1: Operational with the RAF since 1976, the Hawk is a two-seat advanced trainer. It is also used in a weapons and tactical training role at RAF Valley by IV Squadron. Hawk T2: The Hawk T2 is the next generation 'fly by wire' fast jet trainer to replace the Hawk T1 in both advanced flying and weapons training. It is used to train pilots for the Tornado GR4, Typhoon and the future Joint Combat Aircraft.
