The first season of O.C. began on air in the United States on August 5, 2003, ended May 5, 2004 and consisted of 27 episodes. It tells the story of the Coen and Cooper family, and Ryan (Atwood), a troubled teen with the wrong side of the tracks, who thrust into the wealthy, harbor-fronted community of Newport Beach, Orange County, California and forever change the lives of residents. The first seven episodes of The O.C. aired in the United States on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on FOX, a terrestrial television network. After a seven-week mid-season break, the rest of the season aired Wednesdays at 9:00 p.m. The season was released on DVD as a seven-disc box set titled O.C.: Full First Season on September 26, 2004 for Warner Bros. Home Video. On June 17, 2008, the season became available for purchase for registered users of the U.S. iTunes Store. In the United Kingdom, the season premiere aired at 21:00 on Sunday 7 March 2004 on Channel 4 with the second episode, shown immediately afterwards, on the sister station E4. After a break during the summer, the show returned in early September at 13:00 slot within T4. In Canada it was broadcast on CTV television network, and in Australia it was first shown on the Nine Network, but fell after three episodes. Network Ten subsequently took the show, airing it in full. The Crew Season was produced by Warner Bros. Television, Hypnotic (now Dutch Bake Off) and Wonderland. Executive producers were creator Josh Schwartz, Doug Liman, Dave Bartis and McG, and showrunner Bob DeLaurentis joined them after the pilot episode. Melissa Rosenberg and Allan Weinberg were co-executive producers. Stephanie Savage directed the producer and producer Loucas George. Staff writers were Schwartz, Savage, Weinberg, Rosenberg, Jane Espenson, Debra J. Fisher, Erica Messer, Brian O, J.J. Philbin and Liz Friedman. The permanent directors throughout the season were Liman, Sanford Bookstaver, Michael Lange, Patrick Norris, Michael Fresco, James Marshall and Sandy Smolan. The cast of Season 1; From left to right: Jimmy, Summer, Marissa, Julie, Ryan, Sandy, Kirsten, Seth and Luke. The original season had nine major roles to get star billing. Ben McKenzie portrayed the main character Ryan Atwood, a troubled teenager who entered the rich lifestyle of Newport. Mischa Barton played the girl next door, Marissa Cooper, with Tate Donovan starring as her financially troubled father Adam Brody acted as ostracized teenager Seth Cohen with Kelly Rowan, playing his mother Kirsten, a powerful businesswoman, and Peter Gallagher, portraying his father, Sandy, a public lawyer. Chris Carmack played Marissa's boyfriend Luke Ward. Originally the only guest stars, Melinda Clarke starred as Marissa's mother, Julie Cooper, and Rachel Bilson played Summer Roberts, Marissa's best friend and Seth. Both received contracts in the main list of actors after thirteen episodes. Numerous supporting characters have been given expansive and repetitive performances in a progressive storyline, including Samair Armstrong as Anna Stern, Alan Dale as a wealthy businessman and Kirstin's father, Caleb Nicol. Taylor Hvedi played Oliver Trask, a psychotic character whom audiences loved to hate. Amanda Righetti starred as Kirstin's younger sister Hayley Nicole. Navi Rawat played Teresa Diaz, Ryan's childhood sweetheart. Bonnie Somerville played Rachel Hoffman, a former colleague of Sandy's, and Ashley Hartman portrayed Holly Fisher as Marissa and Summer's girlfriend. Other guest stars in recurring roles include Linda Lavigne as Nana Cohen, Daphne Ashbrook as Ryan Dawn's mother and Michael Noori as Summer's father Neil. Actors Bradley Stryker, as Ryan's brother Trey, and Shailene Woodley as Marissa Caitlyn's younger sister, were the only guest stars at the moment. However, both of these characters, portrayed by different actors, would return to a wider role in later seasons. The pilot episode of the season garnered 7.5 million viewers and was nominated for the Screenwriters Guild of America Award for Best Cameo Drama. As the season progressed, ratings picked up with eight million viewers tuning in for the third episode and 8.6 million viewers watching the fourth part. This led to FOX initially ordering six more episodes. The season was divided into two parts, the first of which consisted of seven episodes shown weekly, which averaged 8.43 million viewers. This was followed by a seven-week hiatus in which FOX announced that it had ordered five more episodes, bringing the total season to twenty-seven. The time slot for the second half of the season was originally scheduled for Thursday evening, but before competition from CSI: Crime Scene Investigation on CBS and Will and Grace on NBC it was rescheduled for Wednesday night at 9:00 p.m. instead. Overall, the first season was the season's most highly acclaimed new drama among adults aged 18 to 34, averaging 9.7 million viewers. The show won four Teen Choice Awards and was nominated for two more awards, as well as being nominated for the Outstanding New TCA Award. In the UK, two shows a week averaged 1.2 million viewers, and it was one of the most Sunday daytime ratings also attracts fans at E4 on Monday night. It was also well received in Australia, receiving the Logie Award for Best Popular Foreign Program in 2005. Review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes reported an approval rating of 77% with an average rating of 6.56/10 based on 22 reviews. Critical consensus of the website states: Even if it lacks an original take on teen angst, the O.C. functions well enough for its target audience, churning out a lot of soapy storylines from a talented cast. Metacritic, which uses a weighted average score, scored 67 points out of 100 based on reviews from 17 critics, indicating generally favorable reviews. However, the show drew some criticism. The San Jose Mercury News have criticized the plot and casting saying that storylines are usually associated with mandatory three-episode arc drug problems or lost virginity with dialogue designed to keep the dog up to speed, and that whoever on FOX thought Benjamin McKenzie (Ryan on D.C.) could pass for anything under 25 should be fired. The DVD review was critical of the recurring plot, stating that Ryan-Marissa foul de roll becomes tedious as it goes into a relentless bad time, while Entertainment Weekly didn't think the acting was always up to scratch, saying that unfortunately, all of these possibilities for drama invested in Barton, an actress that can be as flat as a paper doll. He was also convicted of excessive brawling and glamorizing underage drinking. Episodes Watch also: List of O.C. • GOSSIP GIRL HERE: Your One and Only Source Into the Scandalous Lives of Manhattan’S Elite
GOSSIP GIRL HERE: your one and only source into the scandalous lives of Manhattan’s elite The sixth episode of the series is now available. GOSSIP GIRL, will return this November for the second part of the first season with six new episodes. Halloween is one of my favorite celebrations: it’s the perfect occasion to pretend to be something different, hiding behind our best mask and only worrying about having a good time.Although what began as a promising - and compromising - friendship between Zoya and a certain Simon, apparently ended in a typical Halloween joke: what appeared to be prince charming turned out to be an impostor who was only trying to discover who is behind the Manhattan elite’s best gossip. Beware of those who approach you, Z! This time you were lucky, but nothing guarantees that there aren’t more masked people around you.And although we thought that Constance Billard's most well-known sisters would get all the attention at the "Legends of New York" costume party, apparently they have considerable competition: Pippa and Bianca, managed to ally with Monet to steal the throne from JC and Z but ... will they achieve their goal?Who definitely didn’t achieve his goal during these past few days was Aki, who despite his insistence on getting Max out of Rafa's clutches, can’t seem to reason with his friend. How far can that forbidden and oh so problematic crush go?However, if anyone is in trouble right now, it's Audrey. Some sources have told us that our poor almost-perfect blonde friend is about to leave Constance Billard at her mother's behest… Ah, family drama, an everyday thing on the Upper East Side! However, that may be the least of her problems at the moment… We hope Max and Aki will smooth things over and give our girl some support.

When Jay and Silent Bob discover that Hollywood is rebooting an old movie based on them, the clueless duo embark on another cross-country mission to stop it all over again! 1 CAST & CREW BIOGRAPHIES: KEVIN SMITH (Silent Bob, Director / Writer) Kevin Smith has been saying silly cinematic shit since his first film Clerks, released way back in 1994. He had a heart attack and almost died last year but survived solely so he could direct his magnum opus, Jay and Silent Bob Reboot. A polygamist, he’s married to both his wife Jen and podcasting. JASON MEWES (Jay) Jason Mewes most recently made his directorial debut on MADNESS IN THE METHOD, which was released in August 2019. With cult-fans following his controversial antics, Mewes has captured audiences with his rebellious banter against his unspoken other half and longtime friend, Kevin Smith. Since the beginning of the duo’s offbeat work together, Mewes and Smith have continued to build on their beloved character-driven roles from the Jay and Silent Bob series. It’s been over a decade since fans last saw the duo in live- action, but they’re back along with a star-studded cast in the upcoming comedy film, JAY AND SILENT BOB REBOOT.
