World Rankings No World Rankings No. 3 2 April 2001 • Bonus Points are awarded to the final positions in Singles events of Olympic Games, World and Continental Championships, ITTF Pro-Tour and some other individual events. These Bonus Points remain valid for a period of 12 months except the Olympic Games Bonus Points are reduced 25 % per year, World’s reduced 50% per year, and Biennial Continental Championships 50% per year . • Players’ positions in the previous ranking are shown in ( ) in column 2. (<<) = no change in position from the previous ranking lists. (unr) = did not appear on the previous ranking lists. • Players are given Starting Points and enter the ranking list as soon as they have had two wins against ranked players. “New players” are marked as follows: “n” the first time they enter the ranking list; “r” in the period during which their Starting Points are re- assessed, ie from the moment they reached 2 wins until the time they reach 5 significant wins and 5 significant losses; “f” in the first list where their Starting Points have become final. • All players who have had no results for 12 months or more have been removed from the lists. (Except that players who took part in the World Championships remain on the lists until the next World Championships). These players may re-enter the lists if a result is entered for them in the future. Players marked * have had no results entered for 6 months, and players marked ** have had no results entered for more than 1 year. • In the events list on this page: Type: Shows if an individual competition was played in Groups (GR), a K-O system (KO), or if it was a team event (TM). rClass: Fixes the weighting used for the calculation of the Rating Points. bClass: Fixes the applied Bonus Points level.
