Swedish Open Championships in Table Tennis was played for the first time in 1954 in Stockholm. Since the start SOC has been played every or every other year except between 2007 and 2011. SOC has been played in several different cities all around Sweden, from Malmö in the south to Umeå up north. Stockholm is the city that has been the host of most SOC and the tournament in 2014 will be the 44th time that SOC is organized. SOC is a part of the International Table Tennis Federation World Tour series with tournaments all over the world where the players compete for points to qualify to the World Tour Grand Fi- nals. There are three different tiers at the World Tour – Super Series, Major Series and Chal- lenge Series. SOC is a Major Serie tournament but has historically always had world class play- ers. The tournament is played over five days, two days of qualification and three days of the main draw. Qualification will be played in knock out matches. Women’s singles: Main draw round of 64. 32 seeded players + 32 players coming from qualifi- cation. Qualification will be played in knock out matches. Men’s doubles: Main draw round of 16. 8 seeded doubles + 8 doubles coming from qualificat- ion. Qualification will be played in knock out matches. Women’s doubles: Main draw round of 16. 8 seeded doubles + 8 doubles coming from qualifi- cation. Qualification will be played in knock out matches. U21 singles Women and Men: Main draw round of 32. 16 seeded players + 16 players coming from qualification. Qualification will be played in knock out matches. The minutes of the meetings in Düsseldorf were agreed and adopted. Mr. Romanescu raised the request about prize money allocation for the ETTU Cup men and women. Mrs. Darfelt pointed out that the EB can look into it once the 2018 budget is finalised. In principle the EB agrees in having prize money for the European club competitions. 3.
