PROJECT SAYA
This project is situated on a unique hilly contoured site. The Saya residencies consist of two residencies built at a 15 feet differential from each other. The cladding material is Kaghan blocks and bricks imported from Rawalpindi especially for its color and quality. Interesting plays of bricks so as to form jallis make much of the character of the facade and is the element which makes this project unique. This is a purely contemporary design with the primary objective being to bring the landscape inside the house. A combination of natural light and external view orientation creates bright and open spaces. PROJECT MARITIME MUSEUM
Situated on main Karsaz road of Karachi, this museum show cases some of Pakistan Navys artifacts. The design exercise consisted of interior design, landscape, master planning and a facelift to an existing structure. The sprawling landscape and artificial lake creates a natural home for submarines, warships and other such memorabilia. PROJECT FARAN MOSQUE
Situated at an intersection of two major city zones sharah-e-faisal and korangi road, Farhan Mosque is a unique design of modern architecture. Its Landscape of grass and foliage spreads on all four sides. The only visible part of the mosque is a colorful molded fiber glass dome which sits on an artificially created hill. 99 names of Allah are beautifully carved in a calligraphic style on the stone minaret besides the dome. The interior flooring surface has moisture absorbing Jhelum stone that keeps it cool the worshipers to pray on. The mosque has two entrances marked with wood and glass doors. Black stone is engraved to mark the Saffs for Namazis.Ê All aspects of mosque are carefully designed, the grass on the roof acts as a natural soundproofing material as well it absorbs moisture that keeps the mosque cool and quiet.
