He observed the Seventh Day Sabbath for over 45 years and labored as a minister traveling over a considerable portion of Maine and is quite widely known among the people of this Conference. A man of the most strict Christian integrity, he was highly respected by all who knew him. His last illness was about one year’s duration and at times his suffering was very great but at last he fell peacefully asleep.”

GOODRICH H10 Jeremiah, Jr.; b. 24 Mar 1801, d. 19 May 1893 at 92yrs (aka Goodridge) Son of Jeremiah Goodrich, Sr & Sarah (Wentworth) of Boston They were early settlers of Canaan living there by 1790. Their surname is noted as Goodridge on early documents through 1850 and then as Goodrich on documents from 1860 on. “The first of the name of Goodridge to come to Canaan were four brothers, David, Samuel, Jonathan, and Jeremiah (Sr), who came from Brunswick about 1790. They all reared large families except David, and their descendants are very numerous in the town today. The brothers cleared arms near the Clinton line, in the south part of the town.” Jeremiah Goodrich, Jr married 2nd to the widow Lovina Soule (C18) after 1870. They are living in Palmyra in 1880 with her surviving children.

"Lovell Fairbrother came to the Kennebec at an early day and explored this river and the Sebasticook; found choice intervale at or near the fork of that river, and abundance of fish in the river and game in the forest. He therefore pitched his tent a big camp near the forks of the river in 1775 and moved his family there being joined by two others and this commenced the settlement in what is now the prosperous town of Pittsfield, then called Sebasticook Plantation.”

WHITING F07 Frances Hannah; b. 1846, d. 28 July 1857 at 11yrs, 2mos (Broken Stone) Daughter of Bryce Whiting & Elizabeth (Morrill) Bryce is the son of John Whiting III (F08) & Margaret (Fairbrother) (F12) Bryce & Elizabeth moved to California after 1860.

WORTHING D16 Moses, Jr.; b. Aug 1798, d. 11 Apr 1855 at 56yrs, 8mos Son of Deacon Moses Worthing, Sr & Bethiah (Meachum) of New Hampshire Deacon Moses Worthing, Sr was born in Weare, NH 12 Feb 1773 and was the son of the Revolutionary soldier Samuel Worthing. He moved to Corinna about 1831 with his sons Joseph, Amos, Moses and daughter Hannah. Deacon Worthing is buried at Higgins Cemetery in Corinna.

WYMAN D18 Moses, Sr.; b. 1764, d. 21 Sep 1846 at 82yrs, 2mos Son of William Wyman & Love (Chick) of Pownalborough He was an early settler of Fairfield by 1790 and living in Hartland by 1820 WYMAN D19 Ann (Fish); b. 1773, d. 21 Feb 1845 at 71yrs, 5mos Wife of Moses Wyman, Sr; m. 13 Mar 1792 Fairfield They had 4 children.

WYMAN D20 Mary; b. 1805, d. 22 Sep 1891 at 86yrs Daughter of Moses Wyman, Sr & Ann (Fish) She lived with her brother Thomas Wyman after her parents’ deaths. She never married.
