Ell havia demostrat abastament les seves facultats Sra. Alída de Larrocha d'organitzador magnífic, sobretot per enaltir i mantenir el record i pedagogia del seu estimat Sra. Maria Isart pare poh'tic. Sr. Vicenç Llorca i Berrocal Francesc Viñas va Sr. Ferran Mascarell i Canalda aportar tant a la societat nostra, aquí i lluny d'aquí, i fou tan subhm la seva carrera Sr. Antoni Puig artística, que necessitaríem un espai molt més dilatat per a relatar algunes de les seves moltes facetes. Per a Srta. Elisabeth Simon Catalunya i Barcelona espedalment, hi aportà a la cultura nostra valors de puresa, dignitat i perfecció imponderables. La Lhga de Defensa de l'Arbre Fruiter, creada a Moià l'agost de 1904, n'és un exponent ben Secretaria del Jurat: Sra. Susanna Capdevila significatiu. Secretaris: Srta. Maria Dolors Pascó Aquest Concurs, que compleix amb el seu ideal de donar ajuda a joves cantants en la seva difícil carrera, Sr. Manuel Carda Gascons ofereix, en els premis que reben els seus guardonats, un valuós estímul a la seva perseverança. Es admirable Premsa: Sra. M.- Dolors Busquets l'esforç, el sentiment i l'entusiasme que els descendents d'en Francesc Viñas dediquen al Concurs; una molt lloable tasca d'organització en un moment de crisi de valors, la qual cosa fa més gran encara i sobretot més Pianistes Acompanyants: Israel Gursky agraïda. Felicitem-los i encoratgem-los a tots, al temps que els hi desitjem el millor per el futur del certamen. Glasbeniki, ki so se uvrstili v program Mladih virtuozov, kažejo še posebno zagnanost in talent, užitek ob poslušanju mladostne, naravne in doživete interpretacije pa velikokrat spomni še tako uspešnega glasbenika, da kljub nenehnemu iskanju in razvijanju svojega sloga in tehnike igranja ne sme pozabiti nase in mora prisluhniti zgodbi vsakega ustvarjenega tona. Kot pravi veliki ameriški jazz pianist in skladatelj Edward Kennedy »Duke« Ellington: »Glasba je najstarejša bitnost. Kadar se rodi otrok, ga uspavaš z glasbo; ne zna brati in ne more razbirati slik, vendar zna poslušati glasbo.« Prepustite se torej svežemu glasbenemu valovanju in preživite četrtkove večere v družbi mladih nadarjenih glasbenikov, ki k nam prihajajo iz Nizozemske, Madžarske, Srbije, Rusije, Bolgarije, Hrvaške, Japonske, Makedonije, Švice, Črne gore in Južne Koreje.

New and Ambiguous Nation-Building Processes in South-Eastern Europe http://www.oei.fu-berlin.de/nation-building The Tuneful Side of Ideology: Opera and Nation-Building in Macedonia Rozita Dimova Introduction On the morning of 26 July 1963, a devastating earthquake struck the city of Skopje. The main tremor occurred at 5:17 AM, killing 1,300 people. It destroyed three quarters of the city’s buildings and left around 100,000 people homeless. This was the largest natural ca- tastrophe that took place in the Yugoslav Socialist Federation since its formation. The Yugoslav Federation was founded after the multi-faceted 1941-1945 struggle. It was simultaneously an anti-fascist struggle, a peoples’ liberation war and, ultimately, a "suc- cessful" socialist revolution overthrowing the king and the Serbian Monarchy. This four- year period was celebrated as a crucial turning point in Yugoslav history, when the six republics (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Slove- nia) officially had an equal status in the new federal political arrangement.1 As part of the Yugoslav Federation, Macedonia was officially encouraged to endorse, manifest, and further develop its own distinct national identity.2 Macedonia, and Skopje, as the capital of the republic, grew and were promoted by the central government in Bel- grade as one of the most successful examples of Yugoslav socialism where national iden- tity harmonically coexisted with the Yugoslav one.3 Situated between Bulgaria, Greece and Albania, the socialist republic of Macedonia borderlined politically-contested neighbours.

With an attractive message and campaign, Imer Selmani in 2009 and SDSM in 2016 managed to get significant votes from the “others”. Selmani has not repeated this electoral success in the later elections, and SDSM is not certain it will either. In short terms, the gains for Selmani and SDSM were huge. Selmani got popularity and if he continued with the message and presentation in the style of his presi- dential campaign from 2009, his party Nova Demokratija (“New Democracy”) could have counted on a strong result at the following parliamentary elections potential- ly being in a position to decide on the composition of the Government coalition. In the short run, SDSM, with the votes from the Albanians and the increased number of votes from the other minorities, Roma, Turks, Bosnians, got a close result to the winner of the elections in 2016, VMRO-DPMNE.
