When suspected child murderer Casey Anthony was found not guilty by a jury this week, media personalities were outraged, the public at large fol- lowed suit and nearly every subsequent discussion with anyone was precluded by them stating their disbelief at the outcome of the case. The dramatic response by the public at large is indicative of the understandable horror with which millions of parents must view a person many believe murdered her own daughter, verdict of the trial notwithstanding.
