Kent State Field Trip Football Hall of Fame Field

Mrs. Latell and her Career Search class attended several field trips this semester. The most recent field trip was to Kent State University. According to

For this edition of the Memo we chose Mr. Canterino as our Teacher Spotlight. Mr.

Canterino has been teaching at Campbell Memorial for 3 years. Mr. Canterino teaches 8th through 12th grade physical education, health and weight training. Mr.

Canterino attended and graduated from Youngstown State University, with a degree in Physical Education and Health. When asked why he thought it was important for kids to get their education he said, “They should get their education so in order to get knowledge they can use to set them up for their future”. His interests outside of school are sports.

Boys Basketball

Girls Basketball

The Lady Devils Basketball Team is led by full time Head Coach LaRona Gore. Coach

Gore’s expectations of this season are for the team to be competitive and improve

each game. The Lady Devils strengths are J.Weaver E.Davenport their youth and great team speed. With a lot of underclassman playing they are being challenged to fill big roles and become team leaders. We also interviewed some of the S.Lopez A.Rodriquez Junior Varsity and Varsity basketball players such as Ja’Kaya Weaver, Emoni Davenport,

Selena Lopez, and Alona Rodriquez. So far, the basketball season for the girls has been going great. According to the team they said that the keys to a success are teamwork and hard work. The unanimous team goal seems to be competitive and win games.

Bowling

The 2015-2016, bowling season began on November 16th. They are coached by 1st year Head Coach Tyler Allen. His favorite part about coaching is being able to see (L-R) Christian Torruella, Jeremy Firm, Coach how each athlete’s hard work pays off. Increasing our individual scores and consistently practicing will be our focus for the duration of the season.

Their favorite part about bowling is having fun, hanging out with their teammates, and of course winning. Their strengths are team commitment, work ethic, ball control, and leadership. They love practicing with Coach Allen and their teammates. This is Anthony

Knowing the correlation between good attendance and success, Mr. Yeager and the BLT (Building Leadership Team) have devised a competition to motivate our CMHS students by offering them a free dress down day to the class that has the highest attendance each week. This competition is called the Attendance Challenge.

Attendance is taken daily by all homeroom teachers to obtain a daily percentage of the student population by grade. At the end of each week the grade that has obtained the highest
