Madilyn is an extremely caring older sister and is excited about having another sibling to play with and teach how to throw a ball! MEETRyleeRylee Our daughter, Rylee, loves 1st grade and the greatest joy in her life is her horse named Baylee. When Rylee isn’t riding her horse, she loves to play basketball with her big sister. She has a great sense of humor and loves to make her friends and family laugh. Rylee cannot wait to giggle with a new brother or sister and teach them all about horseback riding! MEETPaxtonPaxton Paxton, our 4-year-old son, is our goofy guy. He is big into #re trucks these days, and he insists that he will one day become a #re#ght- er. He loves going to preschool, but he always says recess is his favorite part of the day, like all kids. Paxton is so excited to have a sibling to read books to and to play games with him. We know Paxton is going to make a great big brother! FAMILY ISEvEv ##ythinythin$$ Family means everything to us! And when we say family, that includes our children’s birth families. We LOVE the time that we all get to spend together and how much love surrounds our children. Whenever we are together, we love to play outside, share a great meal, and the laughter never stops. Our great big family, birth parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents are all waiting with open arms and hearts to embrace a new member! WHERE WELiveLive ANDLoveLove We love our home not because of the house itself but because of the love that has blessed it. We are surrounded by beauty in our home situated on 10 acres at the mountains' foothills. Our home is an incredible place for our children to play and explore. And the bonus is that we have amazing neighbors with kids, so the good times never end around here. We also love our home because our kids get to go to excellent schools with teachers they genuinely enjoy. We cannot wait to see the wonder in another kiddo's eyes as they play with their sisters and brother in their treehouse and roast marshmallows #reside during our fun summer nights! For further information contact the UOW Library: [email protected] Moving Beyond the Law of The Fathers Toni Morrison's Paradise Abstract You don't have to know the work of the legal theorist, Pierre Legendre, to read Toni Morrison's new novel, Paradise (Morrison 1997) but it doesn't hurt. The novel is not ostensibly about law (as one might expect, in Paradise there is no crime). Nevertheless, law is central to the novel. It is what the paradisal community rests on, the foundation of the symbolic order. It lays down what would be taken to be the inalterable places of this society and culture. Law is constitutive, what constitutes, constitutional; which as we shall see is no fortuitous analogy. Paradise is a story of foundations, or foundational myths, at the center of which is law. With unusual uncanniness, these not-so-buried themes in Morrison's work overlap with Legendre's psychoanalytically based legal theories. If his work is an explication and explanation of the symbolic function of law -- what rests in society's legal unconscious -- Morrison's novel is an illustration of it.

    Cypress Ranch HS Choir Senior Wills 2021 Kristen Aviles I don't really know how to start this i feel like i've been writing me senior will since i found out these were a thing but now that i have to ive gone blank. This year has been strange, this isn't the senior year I had built up in my head but there's no way anyone could change our circumstances. We were dealt the cards and now we have to make the best of them. I told myself pretty early that I wouldn't let myself cry over my senior year, that so many people had it worse than me at the moment and the fact that I wouldn't get my last pop show was just a tiny spec of dust compared to what all was happening in the world. At the end of the day though as much as that is true it doesn't make it any less easy. The fact that I didn't get a normal pop show or winter concert, or even a choir olympics. The fact that my senior speech will have to be given on a zoom call, all of that stuff has slowly been chipping away at me this year. The only thing pulling me along is the thought that I traded this for a normal freshman year of college which has been strangely comforting this whole time. So no, this isn't the year i expected or wanted but it's what i got and there is nothing i could do to change that.

ABSTRACT OF THE DISSERTATION Hip-hop, Streetdance, and the Remaking of the Global Filipino by Jeffrey Lorenzo Perillo Doctor of Philosophy in Culture and Performance University of California, Los Angeles, 2013 Professor Susan Leigh Foster, Committee Co-Chair Professor Victor Bascara, Committee Co-Chair New York-based African American, Latino, and Caribbean immigrant youth of the 1960s and early 1970s gave life to one of the world's major contemporary cultural movements: Hip-hop. Initially misunderstood as a faddish form of Black male musical expression, Hip-hop's cultural resistance practices were quickly recognized as four core elements (emceeing, turntablism, graffiti art, and b-boying/b-girling). In the global context, Hip-hop has generated scholarly discourse that points to either the cultural globalization of American Blackness or a "global village." My project interrupts this conversation and focuses on the unique, multi-site cultural history of Filipino identity as constituted through practitioners of Hip-Hop dance. My work argues that a community of Filipinos, situated in different geo-political loci—Berkeley, California, Honolulu, Hawai‘i, and Manila, Philippines—configure prevailing concepts of Hip-hop while remaking conditions of ! ii dispossession and displacement in the late twentieth and early twenty-first centuries.

This booklet of songs has been compiled from many different sources. The songs are arranged in alphabetical order with rounds and graces at the back. You may find that the words are slightly different than what you learned; many of these songs have been handed down and passed along and the words have changed. If you like the way you learned a particular song, by all means continue singing it that way. And have fun singing!!!
