  • To All Chrysler Employees, Dealers, Suppliers and Other Stakeholders
To all Chrysler employees, dealers, suppliers and other stakeholders: With this week’s announcement of our nonbinding agreement for a strategic alliance with Fiat, I want to update you on where we stand in our continuing efforts to manage our business through the current economic downturn and put Chrysler on a path to long-term success. This potential alliance has the opportunity to greatly benefit America by preserving American jobs, stabilizing the economy including the important domestic auto industry and expanding the availability of small, fuel efficient automobiles. Throughout this process we will work with the U.S. government to ensure Chrysler meets all the terms of the U.S. Treasury loan agreement, including the submission of a restructuring plan that assures Chrysler’s long-term viability, timely loan repayment and energy efficiency. It is important to note that no U.S. taxpayer funds would go to Fiat. Our Vision, Mission and Strategic Framework Continues One year ago, we began our first full year as an independent company with a three- part strategic framework to help focus our efforts and align our resources toward our goal of returning to profitability. The framework is comprised of three basic principles: Enhance our core: invest in product enhancements; strengthen our customer focus; improve our relationship with our dealers; and recommit the entire organization to a new level of quality. Extend our business: develop or establish partnerships to provide new products; build off of existing products to extend into new segments; explore new and adjacent market opportunities; and accelerate new technologies and innovation. Expand our market: pursue global alliances to fill gaps in our product portfolio and open new geographic opportunities; increase global sales by building from our existing dealer network; and invest closer to our global customers by enhancing regional business operations and global engineering centers.

Who You Foolin (02:31) After releasing a series of underground mixtapes and being nurtured by Young Thug, 25-year-old rapper Gunna was picked up for guest spots by Mariah Carey, Travis Scott and Future in 2018, and hit the US Top 5 via one of his collaborations with fellow Atlantan Lil Baby: the beautifully melancholic Drip Too Hard. He thus enters 2019 as one of America’s most-fancied MCs, and this debut solo album – thoughtful, affecting and quietly proud – justifies the hype. The Young Thug influence is admittedly clear: while Gunna doesn’t have the same wizened vocal idiosyncrasies, he shares his rather disconsolate bearing. If you read the lyrics on their own, you’d think he was as triumphant as a turned-up pop rapper: it’s a roll-call of material success, including an endless stream of “foreigns”, continuing the ongoing rapper fetish for non-US cars that must have General Motors’ marketing department covered in anxious Post-Its.

  • Environmentally Responsible Electric-Drive Vehicle Technology
Contact: Dianna Gutierrez Todd Goyer ENVI: Environmentally Responsible Electric-drive Vehicle Technology January 13, 2008, Detroit - Chrysler’s three concept vehicles for the 2008 North American International Auto Show provide a glimpse into how Chrysler envisions surprising and delighting its future customers through seamless integration of advance production technology into its future product portfolio. ENVI, an in-house Chrysler organization, was formed late last year with a focus on establishing Chrysler leadership in electric-drive vehicles and related advanced-propulsion technologies. Team members were selected for their exceptional skills in portfolio management, modular architecture, product engineering, manufacturing, design, and procurement and supply. “ENVI has an entrepreneurial small company spirit that can apply the vast resources available at Chrysler to create environmentally responsible vehicles customers aspire to own,” said Lou Rhodes, President – ENVI, Chrysler LLC. “With ENVI, Chrysler will be able to quickly address the unique dynamic that is taking place between changing consumer attitudes, the worldwide regulatory landscape, and the acceleration of propulsion technologies.” Providing exceptional fuel economy and reducing emissions is part of Chrysler’s environmental commitment, thus allowing customers to make environmentally responsible choices without compromising their mobility needs. “Electrically driven vehicles are zero emission vehicles,” said Rhodes. “Generating electricity from renewable sources to power tomorrow’s vehicles breaks the dependency on fossil fuels and promotes the development of renewal and clean energy production.” Engaging the Customer ENVI will develop electric-drive vehicles and technologies that draw from our customer insights for each of the Chrysler brands—Chrysler, Jeep® and Dodge. “We are committed to deeply understanding the needs of our future customers by being market focused and customer-centric,” Rhodes said.
