Sri Vyasa Puja 2003 Sri Vyasa Puja 2003 All glories to Sri Sri Guru and Gauranga! Dear Srila Govinda Maharaj, Please accept my most sincere dandavat pranams at your lotus feet. All glories to Srila Guru Maharaj. I wish you a happy Vyasa Puja day, and I hope that the Lord protects you for thousands and thousands of years, so we can continue receiving your association. You are the true representative of the Sweet Lord in this material world. With love and affection from a fallen soul, Shyamagouri devi dasi Caracas, Venezuela All glories to Sri Guru and Gauranga All glories to Srila Bhakti Sundar Govinda Dev-Goswami Maharaj All glories to Srila Bhakti Rakshak Sridhar Dev-Goswami Maharaj Holy Gurudev, I hope you are doing well. I’ve been busy trying to succeed here, but I cannot for- get the Holy Dham. Please give me the strength to surrender myself unto the lotus feet of your servants. I remember you, my dear Gurudev, as the sweet one who always has a place for everyone. I also remember your holy mother; she touched my head, blessing me with her touch. I remember your relatives, and I also remember your associates, the holy places, the holy Guru Maharaj’s place, the holy air, the holy sun. Please give me strength to bear this empty gap between us. I’m sure you’re having a happy celebration for your Vyasa Puja, as you always deserve. I wish I could be there next to you; but what is better, maybe I can do some real service for you. I think that’s the best gift I can give you; anything else I’ve been trying to render the best I can. I know you don’t need a fallen soul like me, but I need a loving father like you. Waiting to see you for the next time, Dvija Mani das Mexico City Sri Vyasa Puja 2003 Dear Gurudev, Please accept my humble obeisances again and again at the dust of your divine Lotus feet. All glories to my Beloved Master Srila Gurudev and all glories to your unlimited compassion. Happy Vyasa Puja day! Thanks for all and thanks for Param Karuna Nitai Gaurachandra! Please make a little space in your heart for me. Begging to remain engaged in your service, Your servant and daughter, Amita Shakti devi dasi Caracas, Venezuela Dear Srila Gurudeva, Srila Bhakti Sundar Govinda Maharaja, any, many dandavats to your holy lotus feet, which are dancing across the Mplanet, giving happiness and relief to all. We are immeasurably fortunate to glorify your Divine Grace on this Most Auspicious and Divine day of Your Holy Appearance! You are full of transcendental qualities, and like the sun your presence immediately dissipates the darkness. Even if one is so unfortunate to be attracted by darkness, you give complete hope. As you described in one lecture, the conditioned souls are afraid of the light. This was compared to trying to get pigs to go on a boat - they naturally try to run away, but then they are prodded with sticks from behind to get them on the boat (referred to as “pig-sticking”). This is so very hopeful that you have given us such beautiful association to prod us constantly toward the light, even against our own unhappy and unfortunate inclination to run to the darkness. On this most glorious occasion of your Divine Appearance, I pray to be allowed the most divine asso- ciation of the devotees of your devotees, as well as their merciful service. Your unqualified but aspiring servitor, Jivana dasi Sri Vyasa Puja 2003 My dearest Gurudev, Please accept my humble dandavats at the soothing shelter of your lotus feet. I, who have nothing but shame in coming before my exalted and merciful lord, seek to glo- rify you again and again on this holiest day of the year. ekaki amara, nahi paya bolo, hari-nama samkirttane tumi krpa kori, sraddha-bindu diya, deho’ krsna-nama-dhane You have explained, “It is necessary to see what should be the one target in our lives, and that is service to Guru and Vaisnava. This is the main thing of value in our lives. To get a position or to get a chair is very easy. Anyone, anywhere, can make a chair for himself. But to receive mercy from Guru and Vaisnava is very diffi- cult, although that is the wealth of our lives, and that is what we need for our prac- tising life.” Somehow you have allowed me a position in your divine family, and I see that all others around me are knowledgeable about your purport. I drag along among them, always tolerated, like a stupid but lucky dog, unaware of uncountable offences and misaligned steps. You not only allow my abominable presence, you have assuredly created my fortune from total nothingness, a complete void of any auspicious mate- rials. You do this for no benefit to yourself or your divine mission, only out of kind- ness to an unqualified, fallen soul. Your kindness is proof of the transcendental char- ity of divinity. By your mercy alone, you kindly allow your devotees to be exceedingly happy in their remembrance of you and their connection with you through their daily practic- ing service lives; enlivening them in their expansion of your mission, to gather more and more of your servitors presently lost in all corners. All this you must do in spite of my presence, which you have established, so I do not know how you will accom- plish it. But you are of the same quality as the inconceivable Lord Hari, and there- fore, I know there is no impediment to the success of your inconceivably ambrosial plans to bring deliverance to the fortunate souls of this dark world. On the world’s most favorable day, that day of your divine appearance here, please bestow a drop of faith in my heart. I am always, Your beggar, kum kum dasi San Jose Seva Ashram Sri Vyasa Puja 2003 The Miracle of You In a world full of misery, darkness and pain you bestow love divine like a golden rain. In this world of suffering, death and endless strife, through you God gives relief and eternal life. In a world full of cruelty, pride and grief, your presence transforms them with kindness, honor and relief. To this world of war-torn hearts lost in the dark, you shine a torch of light igniting the forlorn with ever-new spark. To all poverty-stricken souls pursuing worldly pleasure, you bestow the infinite bounty from our Guruvarga’s treasure. Miracles manifest wherever you cast your glance, and all the fallen jivas come alive in song and dance. Beauty springs where once there was none, like brahma-muhurta forms resplendent with the sun. Random atoms not yet knowing what to do, all take form in their service to Guru and God, just because of you. The qualities of Srimati Thakurani’s grace, in your over-flowing sweet soul take pride and place. Where Srila Guru Maharaj’s golden smile delights all that you do, and their nitya-parisads celebrate the divine miracle of you. While all the faithful serve in appreciation of this blessed event, Madhura Krishna das pines in separation, for just another moment of your appearance - heaven sent. May the love of your dearly devoted enliven yours and the Lord’s desire to keep you with us, for this world desperately needs you. Sri Vyasa Puja 2003 Dearest Srila Gurudev, lease accept my dandavat pranams at your holy lotus feet. On this most auspi- Pcious day of Your Holy Appearance I find I have no qualification or capacity to honor or serve You, even though I desperately wish to do so. Yet You are so merciful and kind to such a fallen soul as I, despite all my faults and failings. I am most for- tunate that such a great personality as You allows me to have some connection, let alone become Your disciple. I can only beg Your forgiveness and mercy as You are my only hope and shelter in this dreadful material world. I humbly beg that the obstacles that prevent me from serving You are removed. Your fallen and aspiring servant, Kanailala das All glories to Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and Sri Radha Krishna Lovely spiritual father, We hope that you have a good time on your birthday; we pray that you are happy and that you remember us with all the love and mercy that flows from your beautiful self. We hope to see you soon in Mexico. Here we love you and want to see you. We also want that our lovely father has good health and comfort and lots of tolerance for us, his sons. Your servants, Prananat das, Prapana dd, Govinda dd, Subala Krishna das Dear Gurudev, Happy birthday. This is the first time I am sending you a letter. I want you to be happy and comfortable on your Vyasa Puja. I’ve been attending the Sunday meet- ings. I go with my mother Radha Kanti dd and my father Anumitra das. My mother is the treasurer in Mexico and she takes care of all your money, and my father helps the directory. Now, I am studying to be ready to serve you when I grow up. I’m eleven years old now. I beg for your blessings to continue forever, as well as those of the devotees and Ashram Maharaj. I wish you will always be well. Humbly, Krishna Kumara das Sri Vyasa Puja 2003 All glories to Sri Guru and Gauranga All glories to our Param Guru Mahara All glories to Sri Nitai-Gauranga All glories to Srila Bhakti Sundar Govinda Dev-Goswami Maharaj Dear Gurudev, Dandavat pranams. On this day, the only thing I can tell you is that you are the only one in this world who is guiding the souls so they can do the right and natural activities of the real self.

  • Srila Bhakti Rakshak Sridhar Dev-Goswami Maharaj 002 81.08.31.A2.B1 Quest for Rasa
Srila Bhakti Rakshak Sridhar Dev-Goswami Maharaj 002_81.08.31.A2.B1 Quest for Rasa 81.08.30.31.A2 Gaura haribol, gaura haribol, gaura haribol. raso vai saḥ rasaṁ hy evāyaṁ labdhvānandī bhavati [Taittirīya Upaniṣad 2.7.1] After all we want pure rasa, ananda. That is our quest. And we are told that is in the service of the rasa himself. Rasa is a person, akhila rasamrita murti. Everyone is in quest for rasa. The status of rasa is the highest. So if we are person, we have got subjective existence. Rasa has got his supersubjective existence. He is a person. He is akhila rasamrta murti. He is Krishna. Rasa is Krishna. There cannot be rasa in any other place but in Krishna, the highest conception, the source. The fountainhead of all rasa of different type is only in Him. So, by nature of our construction, we are to search after Krishna. Krishna-anusandan. That will be the type, the nature of a normal person here. Krishna-anusandan. That will be the type, the nature of a normal person here, krishna-anusandan. Just as Brahma jijnasa in Vedanta. In Vedanta sutra we find: "brahma jijnasa", "inquire after the supreme cause of this world, search what is the supreme cause". Yato vā imāni bhūtāni jāyante yena jātāni jīvanti yat prayanty abhisaṁviśant [Taittirīya Upaniṣad 3.1.1] Wherefrom all has come and where it is being, it is maintaining its existence, how, by whom and ultimately where do they enter after death. That is Brahma, the most fundamental plane. Wherefrom everything is springing up and remains and then enters.

  • The Guardian of Devotion
All Glories to Sri Guru and Gauranga The Guardian of Devotion A Chronicle of a Transcendental Relationship His Divine Grace Srila Bhakti Rakshak Sridhar Maharaj Founder-Acharya of Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math Srila Bhakti Rakshak Sridhar Maharaj and Srila Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupad Forward Sri Chaitanya-caritamrta, the post-graduate study for Gaudiya Vais- navas begins with the invocation vande gurun, “I offer my respectful obeisances unto the spiritual master.” Therein, Srila Krsnadasa Kaviraja Goswami reveals that the fully blossoming spiritual conception comes to embrace a plurality of gurus. The scriptures in general present a very broad and universal conception of Sri Guru, laying stress on the spiritual substance – that divine current of nectar that flows down to this plane from the highest domain through the inspiration that is found in the heart of a real Vaisnava. To deny divine revelation through another agent in the name of being chaste to one’s guru can be offensive and even suicidal. As guru is the functioning principle of Divinity revealing Himself in this world, according to our different stages of realizations, he may appear in different forms. The chastity of a disciple is demonstrated in recognizing the divine presence of Sri Guru wherever it is found, and bowing his head at the lotus feet of the agent through whom Divinity is so kindly revealing Himself. The true chastity of the Vraja gopis was shown in their answering the flute-call of Sri Krsna in the dead of night, although apparently abandoning their husbands to do so (ya nisa sarva-bhutanam tasyam jagarti samyami).

Sermons of the Guardian of Devotion Volume Four Srila Bhakti Rakshak Sridhar Dev Goswami Maharaj All Glory to Sri Guru and Gauranga Introduction Sri Vyasa Puja Address by Sri Srimad B. R. Sridhara Deva Goswami Maharaja Nov. 9, 1982 The Lord says that, "My servant's position is also as respectable as Mine. He serves Me and he also is worthy of the same reverence and worship as I am. He is My part and parcel, a member of my family, and my family is the purest of the pure. All of My family are agents of purity and are distributing purity to the world." Purity is not only self- abnegation but the higher purity is in self-surrender. That service is not calculative nor with any motive, but it is automatic, spontaneous service: service of the beautiful, service of love divine. It is not the service of power, but it is service of beauty, love. Satyam, sivam, sundaram. Sundaram is the most original factor ever discovered in this world. So Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu and Srimad Bhagavatam preached about sundaram , which is not mere unassailable eternal existence to be adored, and not mere consciousness of the material substance which may be discovered as a wonderful thing to be adored, but sundaram is the fulfillment of the consciousness. The real existence of that highest substance was given exclusively by Srimad Bhagavatam and then by Sri Caitanyadeva and His followers. We are worshipers of the beautiful. Reality the beautiful, reality the love, reality the harmony. That is the highest quarter of the existence and we are connected internally with that and so we must aspire after that scientifically.
