Vyasa Puja Offerings
VYASA PUJA OFFERINGS 91ST Vyasa Puja of HDG Srila Bhakti Ballabh Tirtha Maharaja This publication is dedicated to the most holy lotus feet of His Divine Grace Srila Bhakti Ballabh Tirtha Goswami Maharaja, who, out of his causeless mercy, has descended into this material world as the direct representative of Supreme Lord Sri Krishna to rescue the fallen souls. His Divine Grace Srila Bhakti Ballabh Tirtha Goswami Maharaja has devoted his entire life to the promulgation of the glories of Sri Krishna while implicitly following the instructions of his diksha and siksha gurus, His Divine Grace Srila Bhakti Dayita Madhava Goswami Maharaja and His Divine Grace Srila Bhakti Pramode Puri Goswami Maharaja, respectively. He is recognized by all Gaudiya Vaishnavas as one of the greatest acharyas of this era. His praises are most deserved, as, along with many other things, he possesses a vast knowledge of shastra and its inner devotional meaning with an acute ability to communicate this knowledge effectively to all persons regardless of their backgrounds or predispositions. This efficacy of preaching is largely due to his sincere humility and warm, affectionate character, which transforms knowledge into feeling—an actual taste of the Transcendent. Therefore, while desiring nothing for himself, he has garnered the love and respect of all who meet him, especially of those who are making a serious effort to follow his superlative personal example and ideals. His Divine Grace’s active preaching activities have now drawn to a close and he has entered into internal lila, yet his presence and influence are undiminished externally and he continues to be a leader among men—a stalwart and imposing figure among the followers of the message of divine love of Sri Krishna Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. -

After returning from Badrinath, Adiyen also visited Tirumala-Tirupati and participated in Vimsathi darshanam a scheme which allows a family of 6 members to have Suprabatham, Nijapada and SahasraDeepalankara seva for any 2 consecutive days in a year . It was only due to the abundant grace of Thiruvengadamudaiyan adiyen was able to vist all the Divya desams without any difficulty. Before proceeding further, Adiyen would like to thank all the internet bhagavathas especially Sri Rangasri group members and M.S.Ramesh for providing abundant information about these divya desams. I have uploaded a Map of the hills again downloaded from UP Tourism site for ready reference . As Adiyen had not planned the trip in advance, it was not possible to join “package tour” organised by number of travel agencies and could not do as it was Off season. Adiyen wishes to share my experience with all of you and request the bhagavathas to correct the shortcomings. Adiyen was blessed to take my father aged about 70 years a heart patient , to this divya desam and it would not be an exaggeration to say that only because of my acharyar’s and elders’ blessings , the trip was very comfortable. -
Nitai-Zine One Some Reflections on Initiation
Nitai-zine One Some reflections on Initiation (re-edited) Neal Delmonico (Nitai Das) June 13, 2005 [This is a corrected and edited version of the very first issue of Nitai-zine. My memory was imperfect when I first wrote this. After all many years had passed since the events described herein. As I thought more about those events I found they began to reappear with more detail. Hopefully, most of the misconceptions and misremem- berings have been corrected in this version. I have also tried to pin down the events of Sarasvat¯ı’s great admission before Pandit R¯amakr.s.n. a D¯asB¯ab¯athat he had not actu- ally received initiation from Gauraki´soraD¯asB¯ab¯ato a more specific time and location. Those details have been added to this version of the account. — Nitai Das] Recently, among the many other projects I have started and not finished, I was working on Visvan´ atha¯ Cakravartin’s Kr.s.n. a-bh¯avan¯amr.ta, a delightful poem embodying the r¯ag¯anuga-bhakti practice of smaran. a or visualization. The very first verse of the text contains the word parampar¯a, which, among other things, may be translated disciplic succession. The verse reads like this in my translation: I surrender to the rain-cloud Kr.s.n. a Caitanya, who instantly de- stroys the darkness of the world and refreshes the whole world through uninterrupted succession of showers of his beauty like the beauty of millions of gods of love.1 It is a nice image. Caitanya is like a rain cloud pouring down his beauty like rain on a dusty, thirsty world. -
Some Important Facts About Hyerath... 1. Why Tithi Triyodashi Is Important
Some important facts about Hyerath... 1. Why Tithi triyodashi is important to celebrate Hyerath; According to Bharav Yaag Granth Triyodashi is the deciding factor to solemnize the day of Hyreath. Triyodashi should be present at midnight. That is the reason our Hyreath festival is sometimes celebrated on Dwadashi and sometimes at Triyodashi. 2. Are Herath and Maha Shiv Ratri same festivals? No. Our Hyreath is Har-Ratri (Hura Ratri) celebrated on Triyodashi & MahaShivratri deciding factor is Chaturdashi that is the reason Maha shivratri is also called Shiv-Chaturdashi. Hyreath and Maha- Shivratri cannot be solemnized on the same day. Recent example is Year 2011, 1st march jantri Page already posted in the group. 3. All over the Hindu world Hindus celebrate MAHASHIVRATRI on Chaturdashi that falls on 24th Feb and they are fine with that. Why are few among us comparing Herath with MahaShivratri? Our Hyreath deciding factor is Triyodashi and Mahashivratri is based on Chatrudashi as per Dharam Sindu. This is the reason Triyodashi Festival cannot be celebrated on chaturdashi. 4. At what time Triyodashi starts on 23rd Feb? Triyodashi is starting at 09-19 PM on 23rd Feb which decides the Hyreath to be solemnized on 23rd Feb. 2017. 5. What is sparsh and what is its importance? As already mentioned above Triyodashi starts at 09-19 PM which indicated that Puja to be performed at Dwodashi having sparsh of triyodashi at midnight. 6. What is PRADOSH and what is said about its impact on 24th Feb? Does this imply that even during chaturdashi ? Pradosh kaal is of 05 types. -

Translated to English by Sripad Bhakti Nirmal Acharyya Maharaj. All dates and times listed here are calculated for Kolkata, India, as referred to at Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math, Sri Nabadwip Dham. Ekadasi dates and paran times are calculated for London, United Kingdom by Sri Devashis Das with corrections by Sri Natabara Das. During his 21st World Tour, Srila Bhakti Sundar Govinda Dev-Goswami Maharaj instructed that throughout the world the devotees will follow this calendar for all dates except for Ekadasis and their associated paran (break fast) times which may be calculated locally according to the lunar calendar. In this way the days of Appearance, Disappearance, and other Pastimes of the Lord and His great devotees will be observed on the actual day they took place in India, rather than according to the technical local calculation of the 'tithi' (lunar day) which often had devotees observing, for example, the Appearance of Mahaprabhu a day before He actually appeared in Nabadwip.
