This is a Sun 9th April Dorset YFC Ploughing Match - 9.30am until 2.00pm competition which rotates every 2 years and it kindly organised by Marshwood Vale YFC was great to have so many clubs participate on Symondsbury Estate, Crepe Farm, DT6 5JT the day. The final results were: 1st Beaminster YFC 2nd Marshwood Vale YFC 3rd Gillingham & Shaftesbury YFC Chairman They all did an amazing job and Charlotte Harris Beaminster YFC will go forward to Tel: 07970 844045 the South West Area Round on the 4th March in Newquay. Junior Public Speaking Also on the 19th January in the evening the Junior Public Speaking Competition took place with four of our clubs participating. It was great to see what confidence we have in our Junior Members. Everyone gave it their best and it was a great turn out of on lookers also. It was an extremely close competition but the final results were: 1st Marshwood Vale YFC, 2nd Beaminster YFC , 3rd Sherborne YFC, 4th Vice Chairman Gillingham & Shaftesbury YFC. Hello Everyone, Firstly I would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who has entered competitions in the past few weeks, We all know how much hard work has gone into it behind the scenes! A huge well done goes to those who then went on to win and compete at SWA weekend, and the SWA debating competition at Weston Zoyland. Thank you to all the members who represented Dorset in the numerous competitions at the Area Weekend in Newquay, Lots coming up including hedgelaying, calf show and soon be all systems go with the rally! both at Hotel Victoria and at Tretherras School where the Sports competitions were held on Saturday afternoon. There were some splendid results and it was a very proud moment for me when Dorset was placed third in the Cup for non-sports Please keep your eyes peeled and support as much as you can. competitions, a marvellous achievement when we are one of the smallest counties.
