Alex Hirsch, Journal 3 En la actualidad se está experimentando un auge de las denominadas narrativas transmedia desde los ámbitos del entretenimiento, la publicidad y el comercio. Esto se ha generado por la creciente facilidad de crear este tipo de contenidos gracias a los avances tecnológicos de producción, distribución y retroalimentación, al igual que la expansión de los alcances del internet. Esto lleva a considerar nuevas formas de contar historias e interactuar con las mismas, al igual que esperar un nivel alto de participación, inmersión y respuesta por parte de los lectores/consumidores; quienes se involucran cada vez más en los procesos de creación y distribución y no solo en los de consumo. Las nuevas narrativas generan comunidades lectoras/consumidoras que crean lazos de amistad y fraternidad a partir de su interés común por un proyecto o producto, al igual que crean lazos afectivos con la narrativa, los personajes y eventos que esta les está presentando. Gravity Falls es un proyecto que tiene una fuerte presencia en plataformas digitales y una alta participación por parte de sus consumidores/lectores, a la vez que una amplia producción de contenidos en diferentes formatos y plataformas. Gracias a esto ha contado con cierta visibilidad y reconocimiento, lo que generó un interés particular por la forma en que el proyecto está estructurado y producido, especialmente en un aspecto narrativo, y considerarlo una narrativa transmedia. 8 El presente trabajo tiene la intención de mostrar cómo Gravity Falls es un proyecto transmedia que logra consolidar un universo narrativo consistente a partir de un análisis de su producción y estructuración. Para empezar, en el primer capítulo se realiza un recorrido por las diferentes teorías y aproximaciones que tiene el término transmedia y las narrativas transmedia. Luego se explican y describen sus principales características, tomadas de diferente teorías y autores, y se hace una diferenciación con términos similares, con los que generalmente suelen confundirse. Después se describen sus aspectos narrativos principales y se enfatiza en la participación de los lectores/consumidores como eje central del desarrollo de una narrativa transmedia. Posteriormente se explica y se da un acercamiento a lo que es un universo narrativo en el contexto de lo transmediático y en qué consiste la experiencia

    1 Narrativa Transmídia em Desenhos Animados: De Gravity Falls a A Casa da Coruja Vicente Gosciola1 Ingrid Schmidt2 1 Introdução Os séculos XIX e XX foram extensivamente marcados pelo surgimento de novos meios de comunicação que remodelaram o comportamento da sociedade, como o cinema, a televisão e a internet. Esses meios rapidamente ultrapassaram sua função básica enquanto transmissores de informações, vindo a ser considerados como formas de entretenimento. Partindo de suas peculiaridades constitutivas, formam hoje aquilo que entendemos por "indústria midiática" — um modelo de produção e negócio baseado em comunicação, informação, arte e entretenimento para a grande audiência, uma derivação do conceito de “indústria cultural”3 proposto por Theodor Adorno e Max Horkheimer (1985). Thomas Elsaesser (2018, p.184) acredita que tecnologias como o controle remoto, o videocassete, o equipamento de DVD, a internet e o telefone celular teriam redefinido o uso e a função das imagens em nossa sociedade. Entretanto, elas não representariam uma obsolescência do meio cinematográfico, mas sim imporiam um novo desafio, fazendo com que os conteúdos audiovisuais tivessem que se adaptar para uma nova realidade de consumo.
