Teaching Experience Marc is an experienced teacher and youth advocate who has worked with multicultural youth from diverse backgrounds at the elementary and high school levels in workshops and residencies stretching from one day to 10 months. His work as an arts-educator has included appointments throughout the Bay Area. Marc was co-founder of Toones, After- school Music Enrichment program. His students have been accepted to the music programs of UCLA, USC Thornton, Cal State Fullerton, UC San Diego and San Jose State. In LA, Marc teaches at Fernando Pullum Performing Arts High School through UCLA's Music Education Outreach program.

Residencies The Banff Cantre, Banff International Brass Festival "Crossover" All-Stars (2013) Sited as trailblazers on the North American scene and beyond, five musicians (Mike Cottone, Josh Davies,Tristan Hurd, trumpets, Eric Miller, trombone, and Marc Bolin, tuba) were recruited for their flexibility and ease in playing "crossover" styles (classical, jazz, salsa, hip-hop) to work closely with the faculty at the Banff Centre (Jens Lindemann, Patrick Sheridan, Mark Gould, Martin Hackleman, and others) to implement unique and interesting modes of performance. Rehearsals, performances, off-stage gatherings, and brainstorming sessions are professionally recorded for later presentation of the active creation of a new kind of brass quintet. Full Scholarship
