Significant Changes • Whether KWEST Multi Academy Trust should be allowed to move the SEN sixth form in Churchill Park Complex Needs School, King’s Lynn, to a new site. • Whether Evolution Academy Trust should be allowed to add a nursery provision in Filby Primary School, Great Yarmouth. • Whether The Diocese of Ely Multi Academy Trust should be allowed to amalgamate Wormegay Church of England Primary School, King’s Lynn with Runcton Holme Church of England Primary School, King’s Lynn. Trust Change • King Edward VII Academy, King’s Lynn, to transfer from Eastern Multi Academy Trust to Inspiration Trust. Newham Significant Change • Whether Learning in Harmony Multi-Academy Trust should be allowed to open annexe of John F Kennedy Special School, Stratford, on Lister Community School site, Plaistow. This is for secondary aged learners with an Education, Health and Care Plan, who have an autistic syndrome condition. Suffolk Converter Academy Order • Snape Community Primary School, Saxmundham– to convert and join Waveney Valley Trust. Significant Changes • Whether Seckford Education Trust should be allowed to add a SEN unit in Set Saxmundham School, Saxmundham and Set Beccles School, Saxmundham. • Whether Gippeswyk Community Educational Trust should be allowed to add a SEN unit in Copleston High School, Ipswich. 2 Thurrock Significant Change • Whether Gateway Learning Community should be allowed to change the age range from 4- 11 to 3-11 to accommodate a nursery provision in The Gateway Primary Free School, Grays. 3 .

HTB discussion: • The HTB heard about the background of the voluntary conversion application including that the school receiving an Ofsted judgement of Requires Improvement in January 2019 and has been careful in the selection of multi-academy trust to join.

I’m not ashamed to admit I have been reduced to tears on several occasions. MONEY TALK 10 The speed at which people responded was astonishing. Groups formed almost overnight to provide practical assistance and emotional support, not knowing how long they would be needed or the extent of the need. We’ve done our best to assist all the support groups, by sharing COMMUNITY NEWS 19, 20, 21 & 22 information through print and online articles and promoting fundraising and food collection schemes, but it’s the people on the ground, making it happen every day, taking calls into the night, checking in on people who LEGAL EYES 18 would otherwise be totally isolated who we must thank. While I hope we never have to deal with another crisis such as this, we’ve clearly proven we can and will step up to protect, care for and wrap a (social distanced) loving arm around those in most need.

In such a milieu, the plight of those who are suffering most recedes in the collective consciousness.” ENTERTAINMENT 24 It’s a sobering argument with potentially horrifying consequences for us all if true, but I don’t agree with Mick’s conclusion. Of course, I’ve moaned about some of the minor inconveniences I’ve endured (home MONEY TALK 26 schooling wasn’t exactly fun and I’m desperate to see my parents in Ireland) but I know my life hasn’t been altered in any significant way COMMUNITY NEWS 28, 29, 30 & 31 by the pandemic, while for many it will never be the same again. The ongoing work to support those in need, whether by groups formed in response to the pandemic or by longstanding organisations which have LOCAL FEATURE 32 been supporting the most vulnerable members of our society for many years, is proof positive that we, as a society, haven’t lost touch with HEALTH & WELLBEING 33 what really matters.
