  • Movie Review: ‘Creed II’
Movie Review: ‘Creed II’ NEW YORK — Moviegoers under 33 take note: You had yet to be born when “Rocky IV,” the 1985 film that hovers in the background of the sports drama “Creed II” (MGM), was released. While viewers of any age will know what to expect from this latest extension of the durable franchise long before they buy a ticket, the tried and true, against-the-odds formula still works somehow. Early on in this chapter of the saga, Adonis Creed (Michael B. Jordan), with the help of his hard-driving trainer, Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone), wins the world heavyweight championship. He also proposes to his live-in girlfriend, Bianca (Tessa Thompson), a singer who suffers from hearing loss. But the rise of Viktor Drago (Florian Munteanu), a rival Adonis feels compelled to take on, sets up an emotionally fraught match since the up-and-comer’s father and coach, Ivan (Dolph Lundgren), is the Russian fighter whose blows killed Adonis’ dad, Apollo, back in the Reagan era. (Rocky subsequently fought and beat Ivan.) Rocky continues to feel remorse over his opponent-turned-ally Apollo’s death and urges Adonis not to accept Viktor’s challenge, a stance that threatens to cause a breach in their close relationship. It’s a conflict Rocky can ill afford since the death of his wife and alienation from his son have left him emotionally isolated. He can still count on the loyal friendship of Apollo’s widow and Adonis’ adoptive mom, Mary Anne (Phylicia Rashad), however. Working from a script Stallone co-wrote with Juel Taylor, director Steven Caple Jr.

  • Watch Rambo Online Free
Watch rambo online free Continue John Rambo is back for the last fight, and this time he has a murder farm. Rambo: Last Blood is the fifth and (probably) final installment in the Rambo franchise, starring Sylvester Stallone as the titular Rambo. Following in the footsteps of its predecessors, the latest sequel looks like it will be filled with all the hyperviolence action you'd expect from the series. In Last Blood, Rambo looks like a cowboy in the desert and he clearly has some problems with some locals who are armed to the teeth. It doesn't look like they're going to be much of a problem for a Vietnam vet who has mastered the art of setting deadly traps and is basically as skilled as Hawkeye with a bow. And yes, it's the Old Town Road. This article is part of our Mash'O'Meter review series, where Mashable India delves deeply and obsessively into movies and shows. Sit down, get a cup of tea. It's going to be a long trip. When a franchise as iconic as Rambo Sylvester Stallone decides to put out another batch, you know people are going to go see it no matter what the reviews are. This is not just the legacy of John Rambo; It's Stallone. Rocky and Rambo - two legendary characters Stallone, who are well aged, despite all this life. However, while Rocky Balboa got the perfect retirement from Creed II, the same unfortunately cannot be said of John Rambo. Rambo: The Last Blood or Rambo V is the fifth film in the franchise that begins eleven years after the events of Rambo IV.

Semi-fictionalized History as Teaching Aids Opportunities for learning history in Assassin’s Creed II as a digital game and novel Lena Svensson Report No. 2013:107 ISSN: 1651-4769 Göteborgs universitet Institutionen för tillämpad informationsteknologi Göteborg, Sverige, Oktober 2013 ABSTRACT Master’s dissertion in Learning, Communication and IT, 15 hp. Titel: Semi-fictionalized History as Teaching Aids – Opportunities for learning history in Assassin’s Creed II as a digital game and novel. Author: Lena Svensson Institution: IT Göteborgs Universitet, Institutionen för tillämpad informationsteknologi Supervisor: Jonas Lindroth Examiner: Göran Karlsson Rapportnummer: 2013:107 This study is a hermeneutic content analysis of both a digital videogame, in this case Assassin’s Creed II, and the written story based on that game, Assassin’s Creed Renaissance. The analysis is done from the perspective of using these two accounts as study material when teaching about Italy, especially Florence. The study investigates how reliable the game and the book are as historical sources, what differences in ways of portraying history between the book and the game, and how the game mechanics affect the portrayal of history. The findings show that the game and book often in themselves cannot be seen as reliable sources since the designers and writer have taken some artistic freedom, moving or adding structures, adding fictional characters, altering historical facts, focusing on spectacular events and artefacts and neglecting to include facts that are not important for the story line. The game portrays history differently from the book by being able to show actions and pictures, and letting the gamer walk around, free to explore the cities and towns.

  • Black Struggle Film Production: Meta-Synthesis of Black Struggle Film Production and Critique Since the Millennium
IAFOR Journal of Media, Communication & Film Volume 6 – Issue 1 – Summer 2019 Black Struggle Film Production: Meta-Synthesis of Black Struggle Film Production and Critique Since the Millennium Robert Cummings, Morehouse College, USA Abstract The film industry has historically wrestled with consistently producing representative and innovative Black American wide release feature length theatrical films. The limited quantity of films containing a majority Black cast and films with a Black protagonist allows for exploration of the similarities between such films. “Black struggle films,” films focusing on historic or overt racial, ethnic, or social challenges, appear to be one of the few sorts of films cast, led, and produced by Black American creatives. In addition, Black struggle films appear to be more critically acclaimed and recognized than any other sort of Black film. This investigation is part of a case study on the attributes and successes of Black struggle film production. This article focuses on budget, distribution, and other production variables of Black American films released in the last 20 years. Additionally, a meta-synthesis was performed comparing film critiques of one wide-released, theatrical Black struggle film with other Black films. Film critiques were analyzed using a thematic analytical method to identify themes about their production patterns. The findings of this study will allow media researchers to identify trends in Black American film production and influence producers to engage in strategic and representative production of films that document Black experiences. Keywords: Black struggle film, African American, American film history, White guilt, White savior film, Oscar bait 65 IAFOR Journal of Media, Communication & Film Volume 6 – Issue 1 – Summer 2019 There has been much criticism about the recent 2018 film Green Book (Burke & Farrelly, 2018).
