Merriott First School A special evening in Football Team score! the Village Hall Merriott First School pupils took part in a local football festival in Ilminster. Merriott entered two teams along with lots of other local school teams. The festival was organised by Bob Brunt and took place at the recreation ground. Mrs Rickard and Mrs Copping supervised the team at the tournament. The children won lots of their matches against other schools and plenty of goals were scored!
Four ladies, known as “Bella a Cappella”,
entertained 75 to a cabaret evening with songs and amusing readings, inter- spersed with a ploughman's supper and a choice of dessert , provided by members of the 16 Bells Choir. The evening raised over £500 for the Merriott Benefice. Peter Fisk ......
