A Case FIR No. 375 U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. 3. 22.09.2015 Public Grievances Redressal Camp (Complaint Redressal Camp) was held in the premises of Police Station–39, Chandigarh at 11:00 PM chaired by Dr. Sukhchain Singh Gill IPS, SSP/UT, Chandigarh. During the redressal Camp at Police Station-39, total 200-225 complainants and prominent persons from Resident Welfare Association, Market Welfare Association & Women Pink Brigade Sector-40, Chandigarh visited the Police Station to know the present status of their complaints. The facts of 41 complaints were discussed with the complainants, out of which 15 complaints were disposed off on the spot with their satisfaction and 02 complaints have been recommended for registration of cases. 4. 23.09.2015 Chandigarh Police arrested Ravi Kant R/o Village-Kasiyara, Distt-Muzzafar Nagar (UP) near Light point, Sector-39/40, Chandigarh and recovered 50 Gram of Charas from his possession. A Case FIR No.398 U/S 20 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Further investigation is going on. 5. 28.10.2015 Chandigarh Police arrested Randeep @ Gola R/o # 4805/1, Sector-38 (W), Chandigarh near Dadu Majra Light Point, Chandigarh and recovered 7 Gram of Heroin from his possession. A Case FIR No. 442 U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Further investigation is going on. 6. 25.11.2015 Chandigarh Police has achieved a major success within 48 hours by arresting two burglar i.e. Deepak S/o GoriMahto R/o # 1338, Sector 56, Chandigarh aged 23 years and Sonu @ Chappal S/o Sh. Vinod Kumar R/o # 2983, Sector 56, Chandigarh age-18 years who on the wee hours on 22nd November 2015 struck and broken locks of four houses in Sector 56, Chandigarh, when the complainants were away for PrabhaatFeri on the eve of Sh. Guru Nanak Dev’s birthday and stolen gold, silver articles and two mobile phones from different houses. Four cases i.e. Case FIR No. 473, 478, 480 & 481 under section 380/457 IPC was registered on different complaints in PS-39 Chd.

7. 20.11.2015 Sh. Gurmeet Singh R/o # 1297, Sector-44-B, Chandigarh alleged that unknown person stole away one Monitor from his SCO No. 322, Sector-40-D, Chandigarh on the night of 19.11.2015. Later on accused Rahul Chauhan R/o # 222/1, Village-Maloya, Chandigarh has been arrested in this case. A Case FIR No. 464 U/S 380,457 IPC added 411 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. The case has been worked out. 8. 05.11.2015 Sh. Manish Kumar R/o # 60, Room No. 28, Village Buterla, Sector 41, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away purse containing documents and mobile phone from his room on 05-11-2015. Later accused namely Amit R/o # 440/2, Sector-41, Chandigarh has been arrested in this case. A Case FIR No. 447, U/S 380, 411 IPC has been registered in P.S. 39, Chandigarh. The case has been worked out. 9. 01.12.2015 Chandigarh Police arrested Afzal Khan R/o # 1559/1, Sector-30-B, Chandigarh near Govt. Model School, Sector-56, Chandigarh and recovered 10 Gram of Heroin from his possession. A Case FIR No.488 U/S 21 NDPS Act was registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Further investigation is going on. 10. 14.01.2016 Public Grievances Redressal Camp (Complaint Redressal Camp) have been organized in the premises of PS-39, 26 & Sarangpur in which 6 Police Stations were included i.e. PS-Maloya, 39, 19,26, Ind. Area & Sarangpur, Chandigarh, which was chaired by Dr. Sukhchain Singh Gill IPS, SSP/UT, Chandigarh alongwith concerned SDPOs and SHOs, I/C PP’s, and investigating officer/inquiry officers were present during the Camp. 11. 10.02.2016 A lady resident of Chandigarh alleged that a lady (servant) resident of Chandigarh stolen one gold kada, one gold bangle, one gold chain with diamond locket, 4 pairs of tops from complainant’s residence on the night intervening 8/9.2.2016. A Case FIR No. 40 U/S 381,411 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Later on accused has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress. 12. 18.02.2016 ACCUSED ARRESTED IN FIR No. 43, U/S 354-D IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. A girl resident of Chandigarh alleged that Munish & Aman both R/o # 3579, Sector-37/C, Chandigarh and Rahul R/o Village Gardrha, Distt. Hanumangarh, Rajasthan outraged her modesty at Sector 37-A, Chandigarh on 17-02-2016. A Case FIR No. 43, U/S 354-D IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. All accused have been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress. 13. 25.02.2016 Accused Arrested in FIR No. 104 u/s 20 NDPS, PS-39, UT, Chandigarh Chandigarh Police arrested a lady resident of Chandigarh near Sector-56, Chandigarh and recovered 1.2 Kg ganja his possession. Chandigarh Police arrested Ajay Kumar R/o # 6576/C, Sector-56, Chandigarh near Govt. School, Village Palsora, Chandigarh and recovered 500 Gram of Ganja from his possession. A Case FIR No. 88, U/S 20 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh.

15. 07.04.2016 Accused arrested in Case FIR No. 86, U/S 356, 379, 34 added 411 IPC, PS-39, Chandigarh

A lady resident of Chandigarh alleged that two unknown occupants of M/Cycle sped away after snatching her purse containing Samsung mobile phone, R/C and Cash Rs. 1500/- near Light Point, Sector-37/41, Chandigarh. Later on accused Gursimran R/o # 1136, Sector-11, Ranjit Nagar, Kharar, Distt- Mohali has been arrested in this case. A Case FIR No. 86 U/S 356,379,34 IPC added 411 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh.

16. 22.4.2016 The city was showing an increase in the incidents of Auto theft which prompted the Chandigarh police to have a brain-storming session. Recently Senior Officers of Chandigarh Police convened a special meeting to work out the modalities in curbing this menace. As per the briefings given in the above meeting, a special campaign was organized to target the Auto lifters. Even reliable informers were also deployed for the collection of intelligence. A special team consisting Insp. Dilsher Singh SHO PS-39 and SI Surinder Singh, ASI Balbir Singh and ASI Neeraj Kumar, was constituted under the supervision of Sh. Navdeep Singh Brar, ASP/South, Chandigarh to pursue the different leads. In a major breakthrough, on a tipoff local police has achieved a major success by arresting two accused namely Sachin Kumar Vaid @ Tarzan s/o Rakesh Kumar r/o House No. 2265, Sector-40C, Chandigarh and Inderjeet Singh s/o Sant Ram r/o House No. 2292, Sector-40C, Chandigarh along with stolen Cars. 20. 11.05.2016 Apprehension of accused in Case FIR No.126 U/S 20 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh.

Chandigarh Police arrested a lady resident of Chandigarh from Sector-38-A/B, Chandigarh and recovered 200 Gram of Ganja from her possession. A Case FIR No.126 U/S 20 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh.

21. 14.05.2016 Apprehension of accused in case FIR No. 128 dated 14.05.16 u/s 302, 34 IPC was registered in PS-39, Chd.

A major breakthrough is achieved by the local police by cracking the blind murder case with in 6 hours by arrested two accused that i.e. Suman S/o Vijay Ram R/o H.No.589/1 Sector 56 Chandigarh Age 22 Yrs. and wife of the deceased Ajay R/o H.No.589 Sector 56 Chandigarh.

The brief facts of the case are that on 14.05.16 at about 05.36 AM, a wireless massage received that a dead body packed in gunny bag is lying near transformer opposite the side of Govt. Sr. Sec. School Sector 56 Chandigarh. Despite all the efforts dead body could not be identified on the spot and a case FIR No. 128 dated 14.05.16 u/s 302, 34 IPC was registered in PS-39, Chandigarh against unknown persons.

Looking into the Seriousness of the Crime SDPO South Dr.Navdeep Singh Brar IPS, constituted two police parties headed by Insp. Dilsher Singh SHO PS 39 Chandigarh and SI Jaspal Singh I/C PP Palsora, Sector 56 Chandigarh under the close supervision.

During the course of investigation two accused a lady and Suman have been arrested and they have confessed to their crime.

22. 28.05.2016 Apprehension of accused in Case FIR No. 141, U/S 21 NDPS Act, PS-39, Chandigarh.

Chandigarh Police (Operation cell) arrested Gagan Kumar R/o # 200, Village Dadu Majra, UT, Chandigarh near small chowk, Sector-41/42, Chandigarh and recovered 3 Gram of Heroin from his possession. A Case FIR No. 141, U/S 21 NDPS Act was registered in PS-39, Chandigarh.

23. 07.06.2016 Apprehension of accused in case FIR No. 150 U/S 380,411 IPC registered in PS- 39, Chd

A lady resident of Sector-41-B, Chandigarh alleged that Deepu and Honey R/o Sector-56, Chandigarh stolen Cycle from garage of complainant’s house on 6.6.2016. A Case FIR No. 150 U/S 380,411 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Accused have been arrested in this case.

24. 09.06.2016 Apprehension of accused in Case FIR No. 153, U/S 379 IPC added 411 IPC registered in PS-39, Chd

A lady resident of Sector-37, Chandigarh reported that someone has stolen Cycle from near her residence. Ramesh Kumar R/o # 4846/2, Sector 38 (West), Chandigarh reported that someone has stolen his Hero Honda Passion Plus M/Cycle No. CH03-V-2934 from near Dispensary, Sector 40-B, Chandigarh. Later accused namely Mohd. Naushad R/o # 1448, Chaman Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh, age 25 years, has been arrested in this case. Deepak R/o # 1338, Sector 56, Chandigarh reported that someone has stolen his Hero Honda Splendor Plus M/Cycle No. CH01-AE-4393 from near Market, Sector 40, Chandigarh. Later accused namely Dilpreet Singh R/o Village Manana, PS-Balongi, Distt. Mohali (PB), age 23 years, has been arrested in this case. A Case FIR No. 222 U/S 20 NDPS ACT has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. 29. 02.08.2016 Two Snatchers arrested Two accused namely Nitish Kumar R/o # 296/2, Sector-41-A, Chandigarh and Harmeet R/o # 138, Sector 27, Chandigarh have been arrested in Case FIR No. 228, dated 02.08.2016 U/S 356, 379, 34 IPC registered in PS-39, Chandigarh, who snatched away mobile phone from a person from Park, Sector-40-C, Chandigarh on 02.08.2016. 30. 03.08.2016 Three accused arrested and two Snatching & one MV theft case worked out. Three accused namely Nitish Kumar R/o # 296/2, Sector-41-A, Chandigarh, Harmeet R/o # 138, Sector 27, Chandigarh and Inderjit @ Sunny S/o Manjit Singh R/o # 82 Village Buterla Chandigarh have been arrested. 31. 10.8.2016 Chandigarh Police arrested Manpreet Singh R/o # 2550/1, Sector-38-C, Chandigarh and recovered 4 gram of Heroin from his possession. A Case FIR No.239 U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Further investigation is going on.

32. 18.8.2016 Chandigarh Police arrested Amit Kumar R/o # 5925, Maloya Colony, Chandigarh near Light Point, Sector-39/40, Chandigarh and recovered 200 Gram of Ganja from his possession. A Case FIR No. 245 U/S 20 NDPS ACT has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Further investigation is going on.

33. 08.11.2016 One arrested with 146 injections of drugs

Chandigarh Police arrested Joginder Singh R/o # 1388, Colony Sector-25, Chandigarh near dividing road Sector 38 A/B, Chandigarh and recovered 146 injections of Pheneramine Maleate and Buprenorphine from his possession on 08.11.2016. Operation Cell of Chandigarh Police arrested Gautam Kumar @ Vicky R/o # 2548, DMC, Chandigarh from Sector-38(W), Chandigarh and recovered 6 gram of Heroin from his possession. A case FIR No. 8, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh.

A case FIR No. 46, U/S 20 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. 48. 15.02.20 Two arrested under Arms Act and NDPS Act 17 Chandigarh police got major success by arresting two inter-state smugglers, involved in many cases of Narcotic drugs peddling in Punjab and nearby areas. On date 14/02/2017 a team of police officials of PS-39, Chandigarh, led by SI Jaspal Singh, In-Charge Police Post- Palsora, laid a Naka on dividing road Sector-55/S6 near Round-about of Sec- 55/56/39/40. During the checking on Naka, Police party signaled to stop a white Swift Car bearing a registration number HR-51-AC 3585. After stopping the car both car occupants tried to run away but police party nabbed them. On questioning, the driver of car disclosed his name as PAWAN KUMAR s/o RIKHI RAM R/o # 2483, SUNNY ENCLAVE, Sec-125, Kharar, Distt. Mohali and person setting on the adjoining seat of driver disclosed is name as RAMAN KUMAR s/o RIKHI RAM R/o # 2483, SUNNY ENCLAVE, Sec-125, Kharar, Distt. Mohali. On searching, one Pistol .30 Bore with 4 live cartridge recovered from the possession of Pawan Kumar and similarly one pistol of .30 Bore along with 5 live cartridge recovered from the possession of Raman Kumar. When car was searched, a polythene carrying 171 gms heroin recovered and cash of Rs 4 lac 50 thousand has also been recovered. During the personal search of accused Pawan Kumar a mobile SIM of Dubai, Mobile phones and multiple IDs have also been recovered. Both the accused persons are to be produce in court today for obtaining Police remand. More recoveries of Narcotic drug are expected and police will verify the links the accused persons with other drug paddlers.

49. 04.03.20 One arrested for attempt to snatch 17 A girl resident of Sector 40, Chandigarh alleged that Hardeep Singh R/o Village Butrela, Chandigarh was caught while trying to snatch complainant’s mobile phone near Gurudwara, Sector 40, Chandigarh on 03.03.2017. Accused has been arrested in this case. A case FIR No. 65, U/S 379, 356, 511 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress. 50. 30.06.20 One arrested under NDPS Act 17 Chandigarh Police arrested a lady resident of Chandigarh arrested from green belt, Sector-38, Chandigarh and recovered 4 Gm Heroin from his possession. A case FIR no. 241, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress. 51. 01.07.20 One Accused arrested under NDPS Act Chandigarh police arrested 17 Kishore Kumar R/o H.No. 569/1 Sector- 38 A Chandigarh from near T- Point near School Sector- 56, UT Chandigarh and recovered 1 Kg Ganja from his Possession. A case FIR No. 243, U/ S 20 NDPS ACT has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress. 52. 09.07.20 One arrested NDPS Act 17 Chandigarh Police arrested a lady resident of Palsora, Sector 56, Chandigarh near Govt. Model School, Sector 56, Chandigarh and recovered 100 injections of drugs from her possession. A case FIR No. 268, U/S 22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. 53. 22.07.20 Eve- Teasing 17 A girl resident of Chandigarh alleged that Arun R/o # 4874/3, Sector- 38 West Chandigarh who passed bad comment on complainant near School, Sector- 40, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 304, U/S 294, 509 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Accused arrested in this case. 54. 09.01.20 Two arrested under NDPS Act and recovered 1110 gram of Ganja, 17 50 injections and 6 gram Heroin

Chandigarh Police arrested Satish R/o # 6594/C, Sector 56, Chandigarh at t-point near Govt. Senior Secondary School, Sector-56, Chandigarh and recovered 1110 gram of Ganja and 50 injections of BUPERNORPHINE and PHEMIRAMINE MALEATE (drugs) from his possession. Operation Cell of Chandigarh Police arrested Gautam Kumar @ Vicky R/o # 2548, DMC, Chandigarh from Sector-38(W), Chandigarh and recovered 6 gram of Heroin from his possession. A case FIR No. 8, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh.

A case FIR No. 329, U/S 21, 22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. 57. 18.08.201 One arrested for Snatching 7 A girl resident of Sector 37C, Chandigarh alleged that Ravi Kumar R/o # 1596/1, Sector 25, Chandigarh snatched her mobile phone near light point, Sector 36/37, Chandigarh on 17.08.2017. Later accused has been arrested. A case FIR No. 400, U/S 21, 22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. 60. 31.10.201 7 MV Theft cases solved Chandigarh police achieved major success by arresting notorious accused Ashwani @ Raju s/o Sh. Mangal Dass r/o # 43, Sector 57, Mohali age 25 yrs and Sonu @ Chappal s/o Sh. Vinod r/o # 2984, Sector 56, Chandigarh age 20 yrs, involved in M.V theft case FIR 451 dated 22.10.17 u/s 379 IPC PS-39, Chandigarh. This case has been registered on the complaint of Sh. Gopal Krishan s/o Sh. Gulab Singh # 4246, Sector 56, Chandigarh regarding theft of his Splendor M/cycle no. HP17B-1677 from in front of his residence. Keeping in view of increasing in MV theft in the PS area, a special team comprising SHO/PS-39, I/C PP-Palsora had been constituted under the close supervision of DSP/South. The team working on the secret information laid down naka near dispensary Sector 56, Palsora and apprehended above said accused along with stolen Splendor M/cycle no. HP17B-1677. During interrogation one more MV theft case FIR No. 455 dated 25.10.17 u/s 379 IPC PS-39 (Splendor m/cycle No. PB13T-1914) has been solved. During thorough investigation five more vehicles (Activa=02, Kinetic=01, M/cycle=02) has been recovered from the possession of accused and the same has been taken in to police possession u/s 102 CrPC and more cases are expected to solved. Modes Operandi: Accused Ashwani @ Raju and Sonu @ Chapal are drug addicts and used to steal old m/cycle by using the duplicate for fulfill their drug demand.

Previous record: Accused Sonu @ Chappal is notorious criminals and involved in three burglary cases of PS-39, Chandigarh i.e. FIR 473 dated 23.11.15 u/s 457, 380, 411 IPC, FIR No. 478 dated 24.11.15 u/s 457,380,41 IPC and FIR No. 481 dated 25.11.17 u/s 457,380,411 IPC. 61. 27.03.201 Interstate gang of thieves busted 8 Senior officers of Chandigarh Police had issued special directions and instructions to curb and detect property crime i.e. vehicle theft, burglary and snatching. Working on the directions of senior officers, a team of police station Sector- 39, led by ASI Gurmeet Singh under the supervision of SI Sewa Singh, In-Charge Police Post Palsora, has arrested three members of Inter-state gang and recovered 9 motorcycles, 6 Tractors, 1 trolley, 1 Karah, 1 Compressor Machine, 1 Rotaveter, 1 mobile, 1 Ear Ring from their possession and solved 16 cases of vehicle theft, snatching and Burglary accordingly. On dated 22/03/2018, on receipt of secret information, a team led by ASI Gurmeet Singh along with police officials of Police Station- 39, laid a Naka near turn of Govt Senior Secondary School Sec- 56 and apprehended accused persons namely Harvir @ Hari Om s/o Shiv Dutt r/o Village Simrai, PS- Gunour, Disst. Later on both the accused persons have been arrested and stolen vehicles have been recovered from their possession. During their further interrogation, accused persons have confessed about more thefts, snatching and Burglary in the area of Chandigarh and Mohali, Punjab. On the basis of their sustain interrogation, on dated 27/03/2018, police has arrested their one more accomplice namely Bhim Sen@ Hans Raj s/o Soraj r/o village Nasirpur PS- Gunour, Disst. Sambal, UP and one Honda Trigger has also been recovered from his possession related to FIR 527 dated 19/12/2017 u/s 379 IPC PS- 39, Chandigarh. Stolen property- Royal Enfield No. GJ01-PS- 8110. 62. 13.06.201 One arrested under NDPS Act 8 Chandigarh Police arrested a lady resident of Sector 38A, Chandigarh near Paddy Mandi, Sector 39, Chandigarh and recovered 22 injections of drugs from her possession. A case FIR No. 243, U/S 22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. 63. 30.07.201 Miscreants apprehended 8 On the intervening night of 26/27 July 2018, miscreants had smashed the window panes of the cars parked on the roadside in sector 37, 40, 41 the area falls under the jurisdiction of Police Station- 39, Chandigarh. They damage window panes and also stolen the articles lying in the cars. Next morning the owners of the cars reported the matter to the Police and three cases of thefts under section 379, 427 IPC were got registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. During the course of Investigation of these cases, a team of police Station-39, Chandigarh led by ASI Parminder Singh, apprehended five Juveniles, who are students in various schools of Chandigarh along with two other boys namely Mandeep Singh (age 21 years) s/o Surmukh Singh House No 81/1 Vill. Buterla Sector 41, Chandigarh and Yash Anand (age 18 years) s/o Narender Kumar R/o 23 / 1 Room No 1 Village – Buterla, Chandigarh. They revealed that one among them (Juvenile), who is a student of 10 +2 in govt model school, was scolded by his teacher for remaining absent for three days. He wanted to take revenge from his teacher, so he planned to smash the window panes of his teacher’s car. On the night intervening 26/27 July 2018, he called and gathered on the roof top of the house. They had taken beers together. They planned to smash the window panes of teacher’s car. They all went nearby teacher’s residence at Sector 43 but due to the presence of PCR vehicle near to the residence, they could not execute their plan. There after they come towards Govt Model School 37 and started collecting stones from road side and had smashed the window panes of cars parked on roadside of sector 37, 40 and 41. They also had stolen the articles from few cars. The police has recovered the vehicles used in committing crime and also recovered the stolen articles from the possession of accused Mandeep Singh and Yash Anand. All five Juvenile have been sent to Juvenile home and other accused persons are in police custody.

64. 06.08.201 Night Search at Adarsh Colony, Sector-56, Chandigarh in view of 8 forthcoming Independence Day-2018

A special night search was carried out at Adarsh Colony Sector-56 Chandigarh on night intervening 05/06.08.2018 under the close supervision of SHO Police Station- 39 Chandigarh. Total 62 Police were deployed in this search. Total 332 Jhuggi/houses have been checked/verified, 20 persons have been rounded up and 13 stranger roll have been issued. The proper verification of all the particulars of checked persons was recorded, information sheets issued accordingly. These special checking drives are being conducted under directions of senior officers issued to all the SDPOs/SHOs of police stations in their respective areas. These special drives are being conducted by Police Stations staff under the close supervision of SDPOs and SHOs. All the SDPOs & SHOs have been briefed about the safety, security of citizens especially Women & Children and maintenance of law & order in their respective jurisdictions.

65. 08.08.201 Foot Patrolling in Market & Residential Areas 8 Police Sttaion-39 under the supervision of SHO Police Station-39, conducted a foot patrolling at Sector 37, Sector 40 & Kissan Mandi Sector 40, Chandigarh, in order to check the hide outs of anti-social/ anti-national elements, criminals, terrorist and other bad elements to avoid any untoward incident. During the foot patrolling, market Sector 37, Sector 40, Kissan Mandi and parking area have been cheeked thoroughly. Announcement regarding security scenario for the general public was made through PA system. Thorough checking of parked vehicles in parking lots and luggage and boxes lying in verandas were checked. All above special checking drives are being conducted under directions of SSP/UT, Ms. Nilambari Jagdale, IPS issued to all the SDPOs/SHOs of police stations in their respective areas. These special drives are being conducted by Police Stations staff under the close supervision of SDPOs and SHOs. All the SDPOs & SHOs have been briefed about the safety, security of citizens especially Women & Children and maintenance of law & order in their respective jurisdictions.

66. 10.08.201 Special Drive against consuming of liquor at public places by PS-39 8 Chandigarh Police is regularly conducting special drive against consuming of liquor at public places and which is being carried out in every part of the city from time to time. Chandigarh Police is strict against every person found breaking the provisions of this law regarding drinking at public place. Secret Information was received about illegal activity of patronizing public drinking at eating points in Sector 40, Chandigarh. On receiving the information from public, a police team led by ASP South, Ms. Niharika Bhatt, IPS, along with SHO and staff of PS-39 raided at Eating Points in Sector-40, Chandigarh. During raid, persons were found drinking at public places while sitting in their cars near Bhatia Rasoi Chicken Corner Sector 40, Chandigarh and Bhatia Chicken Corner. The legal action was initiated and several arrests were made. The four persons were found drinking while sitting in Swift Car No. CH01AR7600 and two more persons namely were found drinking in ETIOS Car No. PB65AS3017. Taking a strict note of eating points found supporting public drinking and not reporting these incidences to police, the owner of Bhatia Chicken Corner and Gurwinder Singh, S/o Balbir Singh R/o # 751, Sector 41/A, Chandigarh age-23 years who was serving alcohol to these 6 persons openly were also charged under relevant sections of IPC. Both the cars No. CH01AR7600 & Etios Car No. PB65AS3017 have been taken into police possession and a case FIR No. 320 dated 10.08.18 U/S 68(1) B PP Act & U/S 510, 109 IPC has been registered in PS 39, Chandigarh. Chandigarh Police has taken a strict view of this public menace. Such raids will be conducted in future also. Chandigarh Police appeals to the general public to follow the rules and provisions of law. 67. 14.08.201 Illegal weapon recovered 8 Keeping in view of forth coming Independence Day celebration Chandigarh police conducting search, foot patrolling, flag March and special Nakas to avoid any untoward incident. The team of Chandigarh police under the supervision of SHO PS 39 done a commendable job to apprehend the culprit namely Vikram @ Vicky S/o Parlad R/o # 3047 Sector- 24 Chandigarh for keeping illegal weapon .32 country made pistol with 5 live cartiages in his possession. On the intervening night of 13/14 August 2018, the team of Chandigarh police under the supervision of SHO PS 39 working on a secret information, laid down Naka on dividing road 37/38 towards Sector-37 Side, Chandigarh. According to information at about 01:10 hrs one boy on Motor Cycle No- HR99ACK (T) 8066 Make R-15 was stopped for checking who was coming towards naka from Bhaskar Chowk who disclosed his name as Vikram @ Vicky S/o Parlad R/o # 3047 Sector- 24 Chandigarh Age 26 yrs and during checking one country made pistol .32 bore along with 5 live cartiages from the right side pocket of his pent was found. He could not produce any licence and permit for keeping such illegal weapon in his possession. He has been arrested and a case FIR No. 329 dated 14.08.18 U/S 25-54-59 Arms Act PS 39, Chandigarh has been registered.

68. 04.10.201 Cases of Snatching and theft solved with arrest of two persons 8 Keeping view of spurt in incident of Snatching, Vehicle thefts and Burglary, senior officer of Chandigarh Police has issued special directions and instructions to curb and detect this crime. Working on the directions of senior officers, a team of police station Sector- 39, led by SI Gurjiwan Singh has arrested two members of Inter-state snatchers and recovered 4 mobile phones from their possession snatched by them from the different parts of Chandigarh and Mohali. On dated 04/10/2018, on receipt of secret information, a team led by SI Gurjiwan Singh alongwith police officials of Police Station- 39, laid a naka near turn of Parjapati Bhawan and apprehended accused person namely Lovely Kumar S/o Jamnu Ram r/o # Brauti wala Mohalla, Sohana, Distt Mohali Punjab, age 22 years and Rahul Kumar s/o Raj Kumar r/o village Isarherri, Teh Dudhan Sadhan, Distt Patiala, age 22 years During interrogation both of the accused persons have confessed regarding the snatching of mobile make OPPO on dated 30/09/2018 from Sector 38, near Vivek School, from a pedestrian girl. The same was recovered from the possession of accused person accordingly alongwith motorcycle used by accused during commission of crime. The recovered mobile phone was related to FIR no. 395 date 30/09/2018 u/s 379, 356 IPC PS-39, Chandigarh. Three more mobile phones have been also recovered from the possession of accused person which were also snatched by them.

69. 05.10.201 Drug pedlars arrested 8 Keeping in view of drug menace in UT, Chandigarh, senior officers has issued special instructions and direction to develop the sources against the drug peddlers in UT, Chandigarh to apprehend them and to curb this menace. Working on the direction of senior officers a special team under the close supervision of SHO PS-39 was constituted and special drive has been carried out to apprehend the drug peddlers. On 04.10.2018 SI Krishan Kumar along with police party from PS-39, Chd was on patrolling duty in the PS area. During patrolling they reached at slip road sector-39 near Ziri Mandi chowk and started checking the persons under Roko Toko Abhiyan. During checking at about 08.30 PM they saw one person carrying dark blue colour bag in his right hand was coming on foot from Dana Mandi side. On seeing the police party said person suddenly turned back and started walking speedily. On suspicious, police party apprehend that person who disclosed his name as Jatinder Gupta (name changed due to investigation purposes). Resident of Badayaun UP age-59 and during checking of bag, opium which was wrapped in Pholythine bag has been found in his carry bag. On weighing on electronic weighing machine, total 1000 gm opium has been recovered. The SIT, under the close supervision of SHO/PS-39, Chandigarh had achieved major success by apprehending 5 drug peddlers within the month and huge recovery of drugs i.e. Smack/Heroine (370 gm) , intoxicate Injections (200), opium (1000 gm) and huge cash Rs. 600600 has been effected from their possession.

70. 16.11.201 Theft cases solved 8 Chandigarh Police achieved success by arresting accused Jaspreet Singh S/o Shri Tarsem Singh R/o #3050/1, Sector-44, Chandigarh. aged 29 yrs and Harpal Singh S/o Shri Tarsem Singh R/o # 20, Near Thana Dashmesh Nagar, Balongi, Mohali (Pb) Aged 30 yrs within 24 hours, involved in theft case FIR 437 dated 15.11.18 u/s 379/511 IPC PS-39, Chandigarh. This case was registered on the complaint of Shri Satish Kumar s/o Sh. Ram Nath # 749, Sector 40-A, Chandigarh, regarding theft of battery of his CRV Car No. CH03M-7117 which was parked in front of his residence. The photos of both the accused had been captures in the CCTV Cameras installed outside the house. Keeping in view of increasing of theft incidents, a special team comprising under the close supervision of S.H.O./PS-39, had been constituted. The team working on the secret information laid down naka near Prajapati Bhawan, Sector-38, Chandigarh and apprehended above said both accused on naka who were roaming in Alto Car. During interrogation, they disclosed that they were trying to steal the battery of car No. CH-03M-7117 from outside of House No. 749, Sector-40- D, Chandigarh and with the arrest of above said accused one more case of battery theft i.e. case FIR No. 433 dated 10.11.2018 U/S 379/411 IPC PS-39, Chandigarh has also been solved.

71. 22.11.201 Attempt to Murder case solved with arrest of accused 8 On dated 20.11.18 at about 8-14 am, information received in police station that one person attacked upon lady with hammer at her residence H No- 3463 Sector- 38/D Chandigarh. He brutally injured the lady and after that he fled away from the spot. The police party reached at the spot from where the injured person already taken to GH 16 for treatment in PCR Vehicle. After that Police Party reached at GH 16 where the injured Parkash Bahadur S/o Chander Bahadur R/o #39, Vill-Dhanas Age 41 Yrs found admitted and his statement has been recorded and in which he stated that he is working as servant at H No- 3463 Sector- 38/D Chandigarh. In the morning at about 7-30 am above said person namely Neeta came to said house and brutally attacked on his owner Rani Neelam Pal Singh with hammer when he tried to save madam Rani Neelam Pal Singh the said person also attacked upon him with hammer after that said person fled away from the spot . On his statement Case FIR No. 443 dated 20.11.2018 U/s 452/307 IPC, Ps 39 has been registered against Neeta. During the course of investigation teams were constituted to nab the culprit and the photograph of accused has been collected from his friend circle. Later on secret information received that the accused had fled away towards Shri Darbar Sahib Punjab. The team working on secret information headed by SI Gurjiwan Singh left to Shri Darbar Sahib Amritsar Punjab where they nabbed the accused through reliable sources and identified the same through his photograph. He discloses his name as Anil Mahajan @ Neeta S/o Dilabg Rai Mahajan R/o # 1390 Sector- 22 B Chandigarh. During interrogation accused Anil @ Neeta disclosed that he and victim Rani Neelam Pal Singh were very well known to each other as previously she was residing at the first floor of his residence H No 3223 Sector- 23 D Chandigarh . He used to call her ‘Didi’. She was working as social worker and for the purpose of his social work she borrowed Rs 4 lakh from him. He arranged this amount from financer on higher rate of interest and lends the same to her on low rate of interest. But thereafter financer starting putting pressure on him to return the said amount along with interest. Then earlier he went to her residence H No- 3463 Sector- 38 D Chandigarh to get his money back but she could not found at her residence. After that on 20.11.18 in the morning time at about 7-30 am he went to her residence H No- 3463 Sector- 38 D Chandigarh where Prakash Bahadur servant of Rani Neelam Pal Singh met him and she was present inside the house. Rani Neelam Pal Singh told him not to disclose any thing regarding borrowed money to her servant Parkash Bahadur and she sent her servant by saying that the said person namely Neeta was known to her and he met with an accident near Shahpur Light Point and asked her servant to bring his scooter from Shahpur Light point. He further disclosed that he went inside the house and when he demanded borrowed money from her, she did not respond rather she started abusing him. On this he gets aggressive as there was pressure upon him to returned the borrowed money and he picked hammer which was lying in the room and attacked on her head for 3/4 times. In the mean time her servant Parkash Bahadur also reached the house and he also attacked upon the servant with hammer and fled away from the spot.

72. 28.11.201 Three arrested in snatching/theft cases 8 Chandigarh Police achieved a success to work out the snatching & MV theft cases occurred in jurisdiction of Police Station 39 by the team under the supervision of, SDPO South, lead by SHO- 39 and SI Gurjiwan Singh along with police party by the arrest of three accused namely Vikas S/o Rajesh R/o # 11 Near Gurudawara Dadu Majra Chandigarh age 22 years, Sagar S/o Ashok Kumar R/o H No- 73 dadu Majra Chandigarh age 18 years and Vishal @ Baman S/o Ravinder Singh R/o H no- 30 Dadu Majra Chandigarh age 19 years in the snatching/theft cases.

On secret information a Naka was laid near Ziri Mandi Chowk Sector- 39 Chandigarh and apprehended one boy namely Vikas S/o Rajesh R/o # 11 Near Gurudawara Dadu Majra Chandigarh and a stolen motor cycle No- CH01AK5925 has been recovered from his possession, which was stolen in Case FIR No- 434 dated 13.11.2018 U/S 379, 411 IPC Ps 39 Chandigarh. During interrogation of the accused he confessed regarding one Vivo mobile Phone which was snatched from sector- 22 Chandigarh and one small Nokia mobile phone also recovered. Whereas one motorcycle No- CH03R3744 make Hero Honda Passion red colour has also been recovered U/S 102 CrPC from his possession. Moreover two accused namely Sagar S/o Ashok Kumar R/o H No- 73 dadu Majra Chandigarh age 18 years and Vishal @ Baman S/o Ravinder Singh R/o H no- 30 Dadu Majra Chandigarh age 19 years have been arrested. During interrogation, both have confessed that on 23.11.2018 they snatched mobile make Redmi Note 5 from near dividing road 37/41 Chandigarh from a pedestrian boy and one mobile phone make Oppo snatched from Ph-6 Mohali Punjab has also been recovered from the possession of accused Vishal @ Baman alongwith Activa No- PB65W2822 used by them during commission of crime. The recovered mobile make Redmi Note 5 phone which was snatched in case FIR no. 445 date 23.11.2018 u/s 379, 356 Add 411 IPC PS-39, Chandigarh and other mobile phone make Vivo was taken into police possession u/s 102 CrPC. The verification regarding the other recovered phone is pending so far.

73. 29.11.201 8 One arrested for Theft

Chandigarh Police achieved a success to work out the Burglary case occurred in Sector-41, Chandigarh by the team under the supervision of, SDPO South, lead by SHO- 39 and ASI Ranjit Singh along with police party by the arrest of accused namely Sourav Nagi S/o Sarwan Singh Nagi R/o # 224, Village Badheri, Sector-41, Chandigarh. On secret information, a Naka was laid near Krishan Market, Sector-41, Chandigarh and during Naka police party apprehended one boy namely Sourav Nagi S/o Sarwan Singh Nagi R/o # 224, Village Badheri, Sector-41, Chandigarh. During interrogation, case FIR No. 452 dated 28.11.2018 u/s 380,457 added 411 IPC Police Station Sector-39, Chandigarh was worked out with the recovery of one Magal sutra, one finger ring, one silver Payal (pair), Gold Ear ring (pair) (approximate value Rs. 70,000) on the disclosure statement of accused. 74. 20.12.201 Motor Vehicle Theft cases solved by Police Station-39 staff 8 Chandigarh Police achieved major success by arresting vehicle lifters namely Paramjit Singh S/o Shri Onkar Singh R/o Village Seikha Matta, Teh. Mukerian, Distt. (Pb) age 50 yrs and Rakesh Bassi S/o late Ayodhaya Parkash Bassi R/o #136, Ward No. 02, Mohalla Bassian, Dasuya, Distt-Hoshiarpur (Pb) in MV theft cases. On 3.11.18 case FIR No. 424 dated 3.11.18 u/s 379 IPC PS-39, Chandigarh was registered regarding theft of Zen Car No. PB-65-7117 from the parking of market Sector 40, Chandigarh. Keeping in view of increasing of theft incidents, a special team comprising under the close supervision of S.H.O./PS-39, had been constituted. On 17.12.2018 (Evening Time), the team working on the secret information naka was laid down near 55/56 and during naka one silver colour City Honda Car No. PB-10AV-7050 was stopped. The driver of the car disclosed his name as Paramjit Singh s/o Sh. Onkar Singh r/o Village Seikha Matta, Teh. Mukerian, Distt. Hoshiarpur (Pb) Age 50 yrs. He was asked to show the document, but he could not produce any document of the car. On thorough interrogation the said car driver disclosed that he had stolen this car from Sector-34, Chandigarh and was driving it with the fake number plate. On verification from PS-34, Chandigarh it came to notice that case FIR No. 385/2018 u/s 379 IPC has already been registered in PS-34, Chd and the original number of the car was CH01BL-6214.

In this regard, case FIR No. 472 dated 18.12.2018 U/S 473, 411 IPC had been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. During further interrogation the said car driver disclosed that he had also stolen one Zen car no. PB-65-7117 from parking of market Sector-40, Chandigarh which he had sold to scrap dealer namely Rakesh Bassi S/o late Ayodhaya Parkash Bassi R/o #136, Ward No. 02, Mohalla Bassian, Dasuya, Distt-Hoshiarpur (Pb).

On 18.12.2018, the accused Paramjit Singh produced in the Court and 02 days police remand obtained. During remand, he has been taken to Hoshiarpur (Pb) and stolen cars i.e. Zen car No. PB-65-7117 and Honda City CH-03BD-3899 has been recovered from Dasuya/ scrap dealer Rakesh Bassi. Accused Rakesh Bassi has been arrested in case FIR No. 424 dated 3.11.18 u/s 379 IPC PS-39, Chandigarh. Profile and Modes Operandi: Accused Paramjit Singh S/o Onkar Singh is running Dhaba at Talwara (Punjab). He had borrowed money from his friend circle but he could not return the borrowed money and started stealing the vehicles so that he could refund the borrowed money. He keeps master key with him and used to steal the old model cars with the help of this key and after that he put the fake registration numbers on the stolen cars and further sold the same somewhere else.

75. 09.01.201 Motor Vehicle Theft Cases Solved 9 Keeping in view of spurt in incident of Snatching, Vehicle thefts and Burglary, senior officer of Chandigarh Police has issued special directions and instructions to curb and detect this crime. Working on the directions of senior officers, a team of police station Sector- 39, led by HC Krishan Kumar laid down a Naka near 39 C+D turn near petrol pump, Sector-39, Chandigarh under the close supervision of SHO/PS-39, Chd. During Naka one person riding on Pulsor M/C No. PB 65 AR 5358 came from Ziri Mandi Chowk and Naka party signaled him to stop the motor cycle. The motor cycle rider disclosed his name as Manmohan Sharma S/o Gobind Ram Sharma R/o VPO- Birla, Teh- Nahan, District-Sirmour HP age 27 years. He was asked to show the documents of the motorcycle but he could not be produced any documents. On suspicious the engine & Chassis number of the motor cycle verified through mobile app and as per verification the registration number of motor cycle found fake whereas the original number of motorcycle is CH 01 AD 1316. On thorough interrogation, the above said Manmohan Singh disclosed that he had stolen the said Pulsor M/C from Mouli Jagran and was driving the said motorcycle with fake number. In this regard a FIR No. 08 dated 08.01.19 u/s 473, 411 IPC PS-39, Chd against the above said Manmohan Sharma. During further investigation the following vehicles have been recovered from his possession which he had stolen from the area of other Police Station’s of UT, Chandigarh and hidden the same at various places in UT, Chandigarh. 76. 15.01.201 Burglary Case Solved 9 On 14.01.19, the incidence of burglary took place at house no. 1375/A, Sector 39/B, Chandigarh and culprits took away briefcase containing gold necklace, small earrings, silver ring, ankle (Payal) and approx cash Rs 60 thousand along with documents after breaking the lock of his house. 77. 02.03.201 Attempt to murder case solved 9 Three criminal were arrested on production warrant in one attempt to murder case of Police Station-39 which was registered in the month of September 2018. The case was registered on the complaint of Sunil Khassa S/o Shri Fateh Singh R/o #329, Sector-40, Chd in which, he reported that gangster Krishan @ Gatha with other has attacked on him with fire arms in Sector-40, Chd and a FIR No. 375 dated 17.09.2018 U/S 307, 34 IPC and U/S 27/54/59 of Arms Act was registered against Krishan @ Gatha & Others. The accused Krishan @ Gatha was arrested by the Crime Branch, Sonepat alongwith his accomplishes. Today, accused Krishan @ Gatha S/o Ram Phal #Uttam Nagar, Distt-Sonepat(HR) Age-31 yrs, Pawan @ Pauna S/o Ram Phal #Madina Distt-Sonepat (HR) Age-35 Yrs and Amit @ Mota S/o Shri Mahesh #Harsana Kalan, Distt-Sonepat (HR) Age-19 Yrs were arrested on production warrant and produced before the Hon’ble Court of Shri Jaspreet Singh, JMIC, U.T. 78. 06.04.201 Snatchers arrested 9 Chandigarh Police achieved success by arresting both the notorious accused involved in snatching crime i.e. mobile Mi Note-6 Pro Colour Black within few hours after registration of case. Brief facts of case are that:- On 05.04.2019, Ms. Sunanda Sharma of Sector-38, Chandigarh reported that on 05.04.2019 two car borne youngsters, car No. HP-15B-1070 make Silver Colour Honda Amaze have snatched her above Mobile near House No. 1016, Sector-37- B, Chandigarh. On this, a team of police, immediately constituted consisting of young staff of PS- 39. Simultaneously, FIR No. 88 was logged u/s 379,356 of PS- 39. A positive response immediately came out and on 06.04.2019, SI Ranjit Singh along with police party placed a naka near 39/40 light point towards Mohali side. During checking, accused Sahil Babbar S/o Shri Randhir Babbar R/o #234, Housing Board Colony, Kalka (H.P.) Age-27 Years and Aditya Sharma S/o Shri Alok Sharma R/o #MIG-52, Sector-1, Parwanoo, Distt-Solan (H.P.) 79. 11.04.201 Snatchers arrested 9 Chandigarh Police achieved a major success to work out the two snatching cases occurred on 09.03.2019 & 05.04.2019 in Sector-37 and Sector-40, Chandigarh. A team under the supervision of Inspector Maninder Singh, SHO, PS-39, Chandigarh alongwith police party arrested Kamaljit Singh S/o Late Gurdev R/o Village-Kot Karor, Distt-Ferozepur (Punjab).and Deepak Dass S/o Bidyut Dass R/o Kothi No. 733, Near Shivalik School, Phase-6, Mohali (Punjab) in snatching cases. Secret sources developed information about suspect Motor Cycle Registration Numbers which were verified and one Motor Cycle number has been traced out of accused Kamaljit Singh who was residing in PG at Village-Kumbhra, Sector-68, Mohali and Deepak Dass S/o Bidyut Dass R/o Kothi No. 733, Near Shivalik School, Phase-6, Mohali (Punjab) were rounded up on 10.04.2019 and both were arrested in FIR No. 87 dated 05.04.2019 U/s 356, 379 IPC PS-39, Chandigarh and recovered snatched purse and documents from them. On his preliminary interrogation, Deepak Dass S/o Bidyut Dass R/o Kothi No. 733, Near Shivalik School, Phase-6, Mohali (Punjab) of one more snatching cases FIR No. 58 dated 09.03.2019 U/s 379, 356 IPC, PS-39 Chandigarh was rounded up and snatched purse alongwith documents got recovered from them. 80. 20.04.201 Drug peddler arrested 9 Chandigarh Police achieved a major success when police team nabbed one Baldev Singh @ Balli S/o Shri Labh Singh R/o 3073/2, Sector-41-D, Chandigarh Age-34 Years and one lady Age-29 Years and recovered 07 & 05 grams Heroin respectively from them while they were coming to Chandigarh from Mohali side in Car No. PB-65-AJ-9966. Brief Facts: On 19.04.2019, in view of forthcoming General Lok Sabha Elections and Anti Snatching point of view, a Naka was laid down by ASI Gurmeet Singh of PP-Palsora alongwith police party near Bus Stop, Sector-54/55 Dividing Road, towards Sector-55, Chandigarh and during naka they stopped a I-20 car bearing Registration No. PB-65-AJ-9966 being driven by a lady. On seeing police party she at once stopped her car and tried to run away from car. One more person was sitting on the front seat of the said car. On suspicious circumstances, naka party nabbed both male/female. Both were identified as Baldev Singh @ Balli S/o Shri Labh Singh R/o 3073/2, Sector-41-D, Chandigarh Age-34 Years and one lady Namely Kavita @ Kanika D/o Shri Satya Pal Singh R/o #881, Matour, Sector-70, Mohali (Pb) Age-29 Years. On physical search, 07 grams Heroin recovered from Baldev Singh & 05 Grams Heroin recovered from Ms. Kavita @ Kanika. Both were carrying the same without permit/license. On preliminary interrogation, it comes to light that on 03.04.2019 accused Baldev Singh has escaped from the Hon’ble Court Dr. Shushil Kumar Garg, ADJ, Chandigarh as he was held guilty in case FIR No. 50 dated 01.02.2018 U/S 22 NDPS Act, PS-39, Chandigarh and Hon’ble court has issued warrant against him. On perusal of Police Station record, it further emerged that Baldev Singh a Habitual Offender and 09 more cases found registered against him.

FIR No. 381 dated 21.09.2010 U/S 379 IPC, PS-39, Chandigarh. 6. FIR No. 439 dated 03.12.2011 U/S 379, 411 IPC PS-39, Chandigarh. 7. FIR No. 533 dated 20.11.2012 U/s 379, 411 IPC PS-39, Chandigarh. 8. 81. 20.04.201 Robber arrested 9 On 20.04.19 Chandigarh Police has achieved a majorsuccess, when a robber namely Akshay S/o Babu Ram resident of House No. 5328, Sector-38 West, Chandigarh nabbed with the help of general public as well as with the activeness with local police while the said robber has snatched a gold chain of a women resident of sector-38, Chandigarh.

Brief Facts: The brief facts of the case are that today at about 01.00 PM, one lady resident of Sector-38, Chandigarh was going to her house from sector-37 and when she reached near Santokh Hospital Sector-38 A, Chandigarh in the meantime one boy came from her back side and at once snatched gold neck chain. The said lady objected the act of robber then said robber asked her he has iron rod in his hand if she raises alarm he will attack upon her. The passersby also noticed the incident and at once rushed toward the lady & robber. Due to alertness of public, the said robber nabbed and in the meantime concerned beat staff have also reached on the spot and nabbed the robber namely Akshay s/o Babu Ram resident of House No. 5328, Sector-38West, Chandigarh and robbed gold chain recovered from the possession of accused .

A Case FIR No.105 dated 20.04.19 u/s 392, 411 IPC PS-39, Chandigarh has been registered against him and he sent to lockup.

82. 22.04.201 Burglary case solved 9 On 22.04.2019, Chandigarh Police achieved a major success when police team nabbed one Inderjit Singh S/o Shri Kulwant Singh R/o House No. 1191, Dashmesh Nagar, Naya Gaon, Distt-Mohali (Punjab) Age-33 Years and 02 cases of burglary have been registered against him. Brief Facts: On 22.04.2019, Mrs. Jaswinder Kaur Sethi W/o Shri Jarnail Singh Sethi R/O #1579, Sector-38-B, Chandigarh reported that she is PR of Canada and is visited Chandigarh. On 22.04.2019 while she returned to her home she found that someone jumped over the main gate by broke open the locks of her house stolen the mixtures/taps from first floor of her house. On this complaint a case FIR No. 107 dated 22.04.2019 U/s 380, 454 IPC registered against unknown person. A police team leading by HC Kirandeep constituted. During verification from the spot, some description/clue came to light about the person who has committed the theft. On this, information gathered from secret sources resultantly at 6.00 PM near 36/37 Light Point when police party was enquiring the incident, person namely Inderjit Singh roaming in the area round up and his carry bag searched accordingly, in which, water taps were recovered. On further interrogation, he has disclosed about the theft committed at House No. 1512, Sector-38-B, Chandigarh on 04.04.2019. 83. 08.05.201 Cycle Theft cases solved, 07 (Seven) new branded cycles value 9 Approximately Rs. 1.25 lakh recovered On 08.05.2019, Chandigarh Police achieved a major success when police team nabbed one Harsh Mahajan S/o Shri Kamal Kishore R/o House No. 2569, DMC, Chandigarh Age-20 Years and 04 cases of Cycle theft have been worked out. Brief Facts of the case: On 08.05.2019, Shri Udaibir Singh S/o Late Hari Ram R/O #2239, Sector-23-C, Chandigarh reported that on 01.05.2019, he came to House No. 3245/1, Sector- 41-C, Chandigarh and parked his cycle infront of above said house. 84. 18.05.201 Theft cases solved 9 On 17.05.2019, Chandigarh Police achieved a major success when police team nabbed one accused and 01 case of MV theft has been worked out. On intervening night of 16/17.05.2019 at about 22.50 hours, while police party of Ps-39 was conducted night checking near Labour Chowk, Sector-41, Chandigarh in view of forthcoming General Lok Sabha Election 2019, one person who was driven a Honda Activa stopped for checking. During checking he could not produce any documents. On further verification, the said Activa Honda found stolen from Sector-40 vide FIR No. 65 dated 15.03.2019 U/S 379 IPC. The number plates affixed on Activa found fake and further Sections of law i.e. 473 & 411 IPC added. Accused Taranjit Singh arrested accordingly. During preliminary interrogation, 03 more LCDs has been recovered from the accused U/s 102 Cr.P.C. which were found to be stolen by accused from the area of Mohali. He has also confessed that he was also indulged to stolen batteries to fulfill his requirement of drug at Naya Gaon- Mullanpur area.

85. 21.05.201 Missing boy traced out 9 Chandigarh Police successfully traced out a missing boy namely Mayank Aged 8 years studying in 3rd standard at Ajit Karam Singh School Sector-41-B, Chandigarh. The brief facts of the report is that on 21.5.2019 at 3.15 PM, information received in PS that one boy namely Master Mayank Age about 8 years studying at Ajit Karam Singh School Sector-41-B, Chandigarh in 3rd Standard is missing after completion of study at 1.45 PM. As the information was sensational, so four teams under the supervision of Inspector Maninder Singh SHO/PS-39 Chd constituted. Secret sources at-once asked to alert and come in action. With in 1 & ½ hours, fruitful result came out and the missing boy namely Mayank S/o Late Surjit Singh # 533, Phase-III, B-1, Mohali PB traced by the police party near round about 40/41 towards Sec-41-A side. Missing boy handed over to his mother Monika in the presence of police party & Ms Ritu Bali, Principal of Ajit Karam Singh School, Sector-41 A Chd.

86. 23.05.201 Missing girl traced out 9 Chandigarh Police successfully traced out a missing girl namely Mehreen Aged 3 ½ years within half hour. The brief facts of the report is that today i.e. 23.05.2019 at 12.45 PM, information received in PS that one baby girl namely Mehreen Aged about 3 ½ years is missing while she was playing nearby her house. On this information, Inspector Maninder Singh SHO/PS-39 alongwith Division Officer and Beat Staff immediately rushed to spot, immediately five teams of police party under the supervision of Inspector Maninder Singh SHO/PS-39. Secret sources have also informed and requested them to come in action immediately. Within half hour, positive response received when missing baby Mehreen found near Labour Chowk, Gate No. 3, Badheri, Chandigarh while she was playing there. Missing baby girl Mehreen handed over to her parents in the presence of police party.

87. 24.05.201 Snatching case worked out 9 Chandigarh Police achieved a major success when police team of police station sector 39 nabbed one Suraj Kumar @ Ragra S/o Shri Ram Pati R/o Village- Mohali (Punjab), Age-25 Years and 01 sensational case of chain snatching has been worked out.

Brief Facts of the case:

On 19.05.2019, the complainant Mr. Chander Parkash Sapra S/o Late KundanLalSapra #343, Sector-38-A, Chandigarh reported that he alongwith his wife Smt. SwarnSapra were returning back to their house after casting their votes. On the way, they both sat down on the bench installed in the park near tube well/vivek light point. Where one boy snatched the gold neck chain of his wife and fled away from the spot. In this regard, a case FIR No. 136 dated 19.05.2019 U/s 356, 379 IPC added Section 411 IPC was registered at PS-39, U.T, Chandigarh. Today on secret information at about 1400 Hrs, the accused Suraj Kumar arrested near Badheri Chowk and Gold Chain has been recovered from him.

88. 26.05.201 Theft case solved 9 Chandigarh Police achieved a major success when police team of Police Station Sector-39, Chandigarh nabbed one Manpreet Singh @ Navi S/o Sh Jagira Singh R/o # 2550/1 Secor-38-C Chandigarh Age-25 years and 01 case of Theft has been worked out. Brief Facts of the case: SI Ranjit Singh PS Sector-39 Chandigarh reported that on 25.5.2019, he along with other police officials installed naka at Sector-39/40 Light Point in connection with Anti snatching point of view & spurt in MV thefts. During checking, he stopped a Verna car bearing registration No. CH-01-AQ-7242 being driven by one Manpreet Singh @ Navi S/o Sh Jagira Singh R/o # 2550/1 Secor- 38-C Chandigarh Age-25 years, who could not produced any documents of car on spot. On suspicious circumstances, vehicle car verna particulars verified through Vahan Control Room App and found that the number CH-01-AQ-7242 allotted to Activa Scooter. During interrogation, alleged Manpreet Singh told that he has stolen the said car from Sec-19, Chd. On further verification, the actual registration number of Car found CH-01-AQ-2247 which reported to be stolen from Sec-19 Chd. In this regard, FIR No. 67 dt 11.5.19 U/s 379-IPC also found registered in PS-Sector-19, Chd. accused Manpreet Singh mentioned above arrested accordingly. Brief Facts of the case:

On 28.06.2019 at 12.01 PM a telephonic call received in PS that a quarreal took place near Lucky Sweets Shop, Sector-40, Chandigarh. On this, Police party and visited the spot where it comes to light that PCR Gypsy rushed the injured to PGI, Chandigarh for treatment where injured Amit Katoch declared dead by the Duty Doctor. Injured identified as Amit Katoch S/o Shri Onkar Singh Katoch R/o #6002, Sunny Enclave, Kharar (Mohali) Age-27 Yrs and the alleged identified as Rajat Tiwari and his companions. From the preliminary interrogation, it reveals that the victim Amit Katoch and alleged Rajat Tiwari were residing in Sector-41, Chandigarh and having grudge between each other. Later on, both victim Amit Katoch alongwith parents and alleged Rajat Tiwari alongwith parents shifted to Sunny Enclave, Mohali. As there was old rivalry between them, they both were always keep check each other. On the date of alleged incident i.e. 28.06.2019, the Rajat Tiwari cordon the activities of victim and keep their location of Sunny Enclave and when victim Amit Katoch proceeded towards Chandigarh they Rajat Tiwari alongwith his companions chased him. When he reached at Sector-40, Chandigarh they all immediately attacked upon him with sharp edge knife, dandas resultantly declared dead at PGI. After committed the crime they all fled away from Chandigarh to different places yesterday evening. 91. 08.07.201 Snatching case solved 9 On 08.07.2019, Chandigarh Police achieved a major success when a police party of Police Station Sector-39 apprehended/arrested three accused namely Akash, Shubhamdeep Singh and a juvenile as they have snatched Mobile Phone make Samsung J-7 from complainant Shri Amit Kumar.

Brief Facts of the case:

On 08.07.2019 at 02.46 AM a wireless message received in PS that a snatching incident occurred near Mandir, Sector-40-A, Chandigarh. Being sensational information of snatching, night patrolling parties alongwith staff deployed on Cheetah Motor Cycles at once put on alert position with the directions to cordon the area and night patrolling parties directed to check the all Motor Cycles roaming in the area. At about 04.00 AM, police parties alongwith staff of Cheetah Motor Cycle round up Motor Cycle borne youngsters. Complainant Amit Kumar was brought on the spot for the identification of culprits. During the process when complainant have visited the spot. He was asked to recognize the youngsters round up by police. On this, complainant at once identified the accused whose name comes to light as Akash, Shubhmandeep & one juvenile. During further interrogation of accused, snatched mobile make SAMSUNG J-7 and Splendor Motor Cycle CH-01-BQ-9042 used in the crime, recovered from them. It is further necessary to mention here that accused Akash and Shubhmandeep Singh are the members of Guru Kirpa Trust, Anti Drug Awareness Team of Sector-38-A, Chandigarh, but they themselves indulged in crime like snatching. This case was registered on complaint Shri Ishwar Dutt S/o Shri Sukh Ram R/O Village-Bushehar Post- Ratti, Police Station-Balh Distt. Mandi (H.P.) Age-27 Yrs, in which, he reported that he came to PGI, Chandigarh to meet his relative. He took Auto from Sector-17 ISBT for PGI and also started GPS on his mobile phone to track the way. 3. FIR No. 217 dated 18.07.2019 U/S 356, 379 IPC, PS-39, Chandigarh.

This case has been has been registered on the complaint of Mr. Manmohan Singh S/o Shri Pritam Singh R/o #1447/22, Sector-65, Mohali (Punjab) Age-38 Years, he reported that, on 18.07.19 at about 18.00 hrs, he came to Krishna Market for some personal work and was standing near market and was talking on his mobile. 95. 27.07.201 Snatching, Burglary and MV theft cases solved 9 Chandigarh Police achieved a major success when police team of Police Station Sector-39, Chandigarh arrested Gaurav, Vinod & also apprehended three Juveniles. 05 cases were solved, i.e. 2-cases of snatching, 1-case of burglary and 2-cases of Motor Vehicle Thefts have been worked out. The complainant Dr. T Sai Shiva S/o Shri T Gurumurthy R/o #684, Sector-40-A, Chandigarh, Age-24 Years reported that he is working as Doctor in PGI, Chandigarh and on intervening night of 04/05.07.2019 at about 10 PM, he parked his black colour bike No. PY-01-Z-5593 outside his house and on 05.07.2019 at about 7 AM he found that his bike was missing. 5. ASI Parminder Singh PS-39, Chandigarh reported that on 26.07.2019, at about 5.15 PM while he alongwith other police party at naka duty near Sector-40 C+D, Chandigarh, he nabbed apprehended juvenile while he was roaming on a motor cycle make Splendor Plus affixed fake number plates i.e. CH-04-H-5071 on both rear and front side. On further enquiry, the said Motor Cycle found stolen from the area of PS Sector-11 vide FIR No. 262/2017 U/s 379 IPC. The actual number of stolen motor cycle emerged as CH-01-AB-9070. Both fake number plates CH-04H-5071 alongwith Motor Cycle taken into police possession. On 11.08.2019, SI Gurjiwan Singh Police Station Sector-39, Chandigarh. He reported that on 10.08.2019 at 11.00 PM, while he alongwith other police officials were conducting checking in view of curve the crime and maintain Law & Order regarding smoothly celebration of Independence Day, he received a secret information from reliable sources that the above named alleged persons coming from Mohali side through Sector-40/41 in a car bearing Regn No. HR-49-E-4621 having fire arms and also carrying Demonetization Indian Currency in car which is banned/invalid after November-2016. The said car is coming from Mohali side and will gone to Punjab University side. Its bearers/driver and his associates are cheated the general public by the way of threatening On this information, SI Gurjiwan Singh shared the information amongst the staff and laid down a Naka on Dividing Road Sector-40/41also station Iron Barricades on Road Sector-40 and started checking of vehicles. At 12.10 AM, during checking, one XCent Car, whose driver on seeing police party at once stopped the car and tried to turn back but not succeeded due to iron Barricades. Police party at once cordoned the car and asked its bearer to come out from car. It is submitted that the above noted case has been registered on the complaint of Shri Ravi Kant Sharma R/o #1133, 2nd Floor, Sector-37-B, Chandigarh. He reported that on 08.07.2018, he parked his Car No. CH-03-H- 6072 infront of his house and his neighbour also parked his Car No. CH-03-V- 1877 at the same place on the same day. On 09.07.2018, in the morning he found the batteries of both above said cars were stolen by someone.

99. 28.08.201 MV THEFT & SNATCHING CASES SOLVED 9 On 27.08.2019, Chandigarh Police achieved a major success when police team of Police Station Sector-39, Chandigarh arrested Sarabjit Singh & Sandeep Shahi and recovered Two Motor Cycles (Splendor & Bullet), Purse, Two Mobile Phones, Gold Locket along with one gold chain, Two Laptop make lenovo and HP, Two Tyres & Rim of Motor Cycle from them and 04 cases of M.V. theft & snatching etc. have been worked out. MODUS OPEREDI During interrogation, it emerged that the accused committed the crime to fulfill their needs of drugs as they are habitual drug addicts and whenever they need drug, they used to steal vehicles and started committing crime by affixing fake number plates. They wear Helmets to hide their identity. On 23.08.2019, they both committed snatching near Krishna Market, Sector-41, Chandigarh and at that time one of them was not wearing Helmet. On further scrutiny, the identification of accused established and arrested. With the arrest of them the following cases have been worked out:-

1. FIR No. 288 Dated 27.08.2019 U/S 22 NDPS Act, PS-39, Chandigarh.

Brief Facts : SI Gurmeet Singh No. 1359/CHG Police Station Sector-39, Chandigarh reported that on 26.08.2019 at about 10.20 PM, while he alongwith Police Party were on patrolling duty at Sector-39, Chandigarh to curve the theft and snatching incidents in the city. During patrolling, when they reached Near T- Point, Sector-39-A/B Dividing Road, Chandigarh, one youngster Bullet rider carrying bag in his pocket at-once returned back on seeing police party. On suspicious circumstances, they nabbed the said youngster who recognized as Sarbjit @ Sunny S/o Late Hardeep Singh R/o #Ward No. 5, Village-Khamano Kalan, Distt-Fatehgarh Sahib (Pb) Age-31 Years. Accordingly his carry bag was checked and 12 Injections of Buprenorphine 2 ML each recovered from his possession without any permit/Licence. 2. FIR No. 284 Dated 23.08.2019 U/S 356, 379 added 411 IPC, PS-39, Chandigarh. This case has been registered on the complaint of Ms. Kulwinder Kaur W/o Shri Hans Raj Singh R/o #111, Village-Badheri, Sector-41-D, Chandigarh, Age-28 Years, she reported that, on 23.08.19, she was sitting in the Park near Govt. School as well as Krishna Market. In the meantime, two Bullet M/C Rider PB-23-B-1891 snatched her purse and fled away from the spot. Two mobile phones (one SAMSUNG & other not known) and cash Rs. 400/- were lying in the purse.

3. FIR No. 208 Dated 13.07.2019 U/S 356, 379 IPC, PS-39, Chandigarh. This case has been registered on the complaint of Shri Anoop Kumar Mahajan S/o Late Tilak Raj Gupta R/o House No. 1183, Sector-41-B, Chandigarh Age-53 Years, in which, he reported that on 13.07.2019, at about 12.00 AM, he was washing his car No. CH-01-BV-6604 infront of his house. In the meantime, two youngsters came on motorcycle (driver with helmet and pillion rider without helmet) snatched his Gold Chain with Locket. He tried to catch them but during this his foot got slip and he sustained some injuries.

Modus Operandi: During interrogation, it emerged that the accused committed the crime to fulfill his needs of drugs as he is habitual drug addicts and whenever he need drug, he used to do petty crime. On 26.08.2019, he committed snatching after taking Scooty from a mechanic and after completion of his motive, he returned back the Scooty to the owner. Earlier, he was arrested in case FIR No. 105 Dated 20.04.2019 U/S 392, 411 IPC, registered at Police Station-39, Chandigarh and released on bail on 09.05.2019 in robbery case. With the arrest of him, the following case has been worked out :-

This case was registered on the complaint of Ms. Mohini Singh W/o Shri Vivek Kundu R/o #1062/2, Sector-38-B, Chandigarh, reported that on 26.08.2019 at about 01.40 PM, while she alongwith her son was returning from Vivek High School, Sector-38-B, Chandigarh to her home. When she reached near House No. 1063, Sector-38-B, Chandigarh, in the meantime, one white coloured scooter rider wearing Red T-shirt and black coloured Helmet from rear side and snatched her Gold Mangal Sutra Diamond fitted and fled away from the spot.

He reported that on 17.09.2019, he parked his Hero Splendor Motor Cycle No. PB-65-Q-9391 infront of Shop No. 37/3, Village-Buterla Chandigarh. On 18.09.2019, he found that his Motor Cycle was not there. Someone stolen his Motor Cycle. He tried his level best to trace out his Motor Cycle but all in vain. 2. Today, Two different teams of Police Station Sector-39 under the supervision of Insp. Amanjot Singh arrested two Nigerian Nationals and two different cases were registered against them. Having 3 Brothers & 4 Sisters, Secondary Pass, Living at African Restaurant in Delhi, Mother having Shop in Nigeria, Visited in India in April-2019. Visited India on Medical Visa.

107. 10.12.201 A police team of Police Station Sector-39 got a major success in 9 apprehending three Robbers who committed a day light robbery in Sector-56 Chandigarh. On 9.12.2019 at 12.35 PM, information received from Police Control Room that a snatching incident has been occurred near House No. 5706 Sector-56 Chandigarh. On this information, undersigned along with I/c PP Palsora, members of Special Investigation Team have visited the spot where Sh Bablu Singh complainant met and his statement has been recorded accordingly. On this a Case FIR No. 445 dated 9.12.2019 U/s 392,34-IPC registered Sh Bablu Singh S/o Sh Chander Bhan Singh R/o House No. 2585 Sector-49-C Chandigarh reported that he is driver by profession and supplying Indane Gas Cylinders with one Surinder Singh in the area of Sector-56, Chd. As usal, on 9.12.2019 at 12.15 PM, while he was supplying the Gas Cylinders in Sec- 56, Chd and when he reaced near House No. 5707 Sec-56, chd, and was standing near by his Jeep No. CH-01-TB-6606. His delivery man was going to supplying the cylinder. In the mean time, three hindu youngsters came there on M/Cycle No. PB-65-J-6638 and started beating him. The polythene packet, which the alleged tried to threw was checked and on checking 265 Grams Heroine was recovered which the alleged NOUSO S/o OGWURUMBA was carrying illegally. Visited India in August-2019 on Business Visa. Modus Operandi The said accused disclosed that he has come to Chandigarh for the disposal of Narcotics for the celebration of Christmas and New Year as he has come to know that the city has a potential buyers of Heroine. From the interrogation conducted so far he has procured this narcotics from one of his countrymen from Uttam Nagar Delhi.

110. 12.01.202 Chandigarh Police achieved a major success when the Police Staff of Police 0 Station Sector-39 apprehended Four Robbers and Burglars and cracked the case of Robbery and Burglary. This case has been registered on the complaint of Smt Jaswinder Kaur W/o Sh Daljit Singh R/o # 217/2 Sector-41-A Chandigarh. She reported that she is running Veeta Booth in A.G Colony Sec-41-A Chd on partnership basis. Deepak S/o Santresh R/o Age-21 years. Occupation: - Labour, Qualification: - 8th Pass, Mother House wife & Father Private Job at Zirakpur Two brothers He is also found involved in a Dacoity case registered in Police Station Sector 31 Chandigarh.

Rohit S/o Rakesh R/o Age-19 years. Occupation:- Labour, Qualification: - 8th Pass, Mother House wife, Father Expired. Anil @ Leelu S/o Brij Pal R/o Age-19 years. Occupation:- Labour, Qualification: - 9th Pass, Mother House wife Father Private Job Two Sisters and One brother He is also found involved in two cases i.e. Robbery and House theft registered at PS 11 Chandigarh.

Modus Operandi All accused disclosed during interrogation that they are habitual drug addict and to fulfill their drug requirement, they have committed the crime.

Accused were produced before the Hon’ble court on 11.01.2020 and their Police Remand of Two (02) days has been obtained. Further interrogation is being conducted to know their involvement in other cases. 111. 15.01.202 Chandigarh Police achieved a major success when the Police Staff of 0 Police Station Sector-39, under the supervision of Inspector Amanjot Singh SHO/PS-39, Chandigarh arrested two professional Auto lifters thieves and recovered six cars and 10 two wheelers. The property worth Fifty Lakhs recovered. The brief history of the success is, that on 10.01.2020 accused Manoj @ Namuna S/o Sh Ramesh Thakur R/o #434, Makhan Majra Chd Age-37 years was arrested from Zirri mandi chowk. In FIR No. 08 dated 09.01.2020 U/S 379 IPC added 411 IPC, The Detail of the FIR is (This case has been registered on the complaint of Smt. Mamta Sharma W/o Sh. Davinder Sharma R/o # 2226 GF Sector 37 C Chandigarh. She reported that on 07.01.2020 in the evening she parked her Honda City Colour Car Grey bearing No. CH03Z-3379 nearby the parking of the temple adjacent to her house. On 08.01.2020 she found that her car was not there someone had stolen her car.) and a Honda City Car No. CH03Z-3379 was recovered from his possession. He was produced before the Hon’ble Court on 11.1.2020 and his 05 days Police remand was obtained. During the police remand 02 more Honda City Cars bearing registration No. CH01A 3690 and PB36E 6465 was recovered on the instance of Accused Manoj, on dt 12.01.2020, from Zirri Mandi Maloya. During further investigation these 02 cars found to be stolen from PS-26, Chandigarh and in this regard case FIR No. 265 Dt 21.11.2019 U/S 379 IPC PS 26 Chd and FIR No 291 Dt 31.12.2019 U/S 379 IPC PS 26 Chd. On further investigation and the disclosure made by the accused one more Honda city of Case FIR No. 09 dated 09.01.2020 U/S 379 IPC added 411 IPC, The detail of the case is (This case has been registered on the complaint of Sh. Avtar Singh S/o Sh. Labh Singh R/o H.No 2804 Sector 38 C Chandigarh. He reported that on 04.01.2020 in the evening he parked his Honda City Car bearing No. PB27B 0014 in the front of his house. But on the next day he found that his car was not there.) As they both have committed the theft of this car conjointly. The accused Ibrar Khan was also arrested in this case and his interrogation led to the recovery of another two car’s (that is Honda Accord No. DL3C-AK-1257 and Maruti 800 No. PB65AH-4903) and another 10 two-wheelers, out of which 06 Motorcycle’s and 4 are Activa’s which they have stolen from tri-city.

From the record obtained from MOB Chandigarh it has been found that Ibrar Khan is involved in 11 criminal cases registered at different Police Stations of Chandigarh, except this he is involved in more then 2 dozen cases in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi & UP etc..

As per record Manoj @ Namuna has also been awarded three years each imprisonment in two different cases by the Hon’ble Court of Sh. R.K Jain ASJ Chandigarh on 16.02.2017. 2. Abrar Khan S/o Ismail Khan R/o Near Choice Hotel Baltana Zirakpur SAS Nagar Mohali Age-35 years. Occupation: - Professional criminal and involved in Dacoity, Robbery, snatching, burglary, and auto lifting, Qualification: - 8th Pass, Mother & wife House wife, Father Dairy farming at Zirakpur One brother and one sister. As per record Abrar Khan has also been awarded Seven years imprisonment by the Special judge Court No. 02 on 08.06.2017. He has also been awarded 02 years imprisonment by court no. 12 Moradabad UP . Ibrar Khan was transferred to Central jail Moradabad in 09.06.2018 for completion of his sentence. The list of his criminal cases as per record of MOB is attached herewith. Note:- His brother Israr Khan has also been awarded 04 years imprisonment by the Hon’ble court Sh. Rajinder Aggarwal ASJ Mohali on 30.10.2012 and he has completed his sentence on 19.02.2018. He has also been awarded sentence for 06 months by the Hon’ble Court of Sh. Mahesh Grover JMIC Chandigarh on 15.09.2011 and presently he is lodged in Himachal Pradesh jail for ATM breaking. Modus Operandi:- Both accused disclosed during interrogation that they are involved in several criminal cases to run their houses and to meet with the expenses of Advocates they need huge amount of money which cannot be achieved with genuine resources and to fulfill they are still committing crime. They used to steal vehicles with a master key and they target those cars which don’t have auto-cop locks. In these stolen vehicles they used to visit different cities like(Derabassi, Ambala, Shahabad and in these cities they used to identify shop’s and in the night on breaking open the locks of the shop’s they used to steal goods from these shop’s and further disposing them off in UP.) Both the accused send to the Judicial Custody. Both the accused met each other in Jail and came close to each other and formed a gang as they are from a same native place. Mote Majra SAS Nagar Mohali Punjab Age 19 years Occupation:-Student Qualification:- BCA 1st year from Quest college Jhanjari. Mother House wife Father Driver. One brother and two sisters. 5. Santy Kumar S/o Joginder Singh R/o Vill. Shampur PS Sohaan Distt Mohali Age 19 years. Occupation:- Labour, Qualification-10th Fail mother house wife father Milk dairy, Two brothers 6. Baljinder Singh @ Happy S/o Malkiat Singh R/o Vill. Bhagomajara PS Sohana Distt Mohali Age 21 years Occupation:- Labour, Qualification 12th pass, Mother House wife, Father:- Taxi Driver, Two Brothers and one sister.

Accused Baljinder Singh also found involved in Case FIR No. 214 dt 10.7.19 U/s 379,411-IPC PS-17 in MV Theft case.

Modus Operandi: - All accused are drug addicts and to fulfill their urge of drugs they started committing thefts and after stealing these bikes they use to sell it to the innocent people living in villages on the pretext that they are selling these bikes on a cheaper rate as compared to the market rates. They use to promise these innocent buyers that they will provide the NOC later and will receive the remaining amount at the time of handing over the NOC. The gang has stolen more than 70 Two wheelers from Chandigarh and Punjab and further sold it in different villages of Patiala, Khanna, Ludhiana, Fatehgarh and Mohali. Out of these 70 bikes already 34 bikes have been recovered in Police Station 39 and were taken in police possession U/s 102 Cr.P.C. Further Investigation:- All the Accused were produced before the Hon’ble Court and their two (02) days Police Remand was obtained. During the investigation and further interrogation of the accused Kavi Singh one Activa No. TS08GF0403 of case FIR No.20 dated 20.01.2020 U/S 379 IPC PS-39, Chandigarh was recovered from another gang member namely Azadvinder Singh @ Harman S/o Jagdish Singh VPO Chhatbir Distt. Mohali Punjab. On 21.01.2020 on the disclosure statement of the accused Baljinder @ Happy Seven (07) two wheelers recovered from Jungle Area Sector 55 Chandigarh, On the disclosure statement of accused Kavi Seven (07) two wheelers recovered from 66KV electricity Grid Sector 56 A Chandigarh and on 22.01.2020 on the disclosure statement of accused Balihar @ Daman eleven (13) two wheelers were recovered from jungle area Sector-40/C, Chandigarh.

Important aspects:-

During interrogation of the accused Kavi an important aspect emerged that accused used to be a three wheeler driver and use to run auto from south division till Kharar and while in this profession Kavi came in contact with one girl and they became friendly and later the father of the girl made a complaint against Kavi in one of the Police Station in Mohali where the matter was later compromised and from then Kavi started giving information to the Police regarding the drug suppliers and Boot-lagers, he used to stand outside the wine shops and whenever someone picks up liquor in huge quantity he use to inform the Police and in lieu of this information he use to get incentives from the Police. Later after getting to know the Police department well he himself started committing a crime and further attached more people with him and his is how he has made his gang. Recent Achievements:- In the recent past Chandigarh Police has achieved major success in Solving property crimes as in the month of December SHO/Police Station 36 arrested two burglars namely Shankar Thapa & Shyam Mandal and recovered the stolen property worth one Cr., In the beginning of January 2020 SHO/ PS 39 apprehended two vehicle lifters and from them 06 Cars and ten two wheelers were recovered the property were approximately of 50 lakhs and now again SHO/PS 39 has recovered a big haul of stolen bikes from the gang of seven persons and the property is approximately worth 50 lakhs.

113. 31.01.202 Chandigarh Police achieved a major success when the Police Staff of 0 Police Station Sector-39, under the supervision of Inspector Amanjot Singh SHO/PS-39, Chandigarh arrested one Amit Kumar S/O Jagbir Singh R/O # Village Khadwali P.S. Sadar Rohtak Diatt. Rohtak HR. and recovered 201 gram smack/Heroin from his possession. FIR No.27 dated 29.01.2020 U/S 21NDPS Act The brief fact of the case is as under:- In this case SI Major Singh along with police party arrested one Amit Kumar S/O Jagbir Singh R/O # Village Khadwali P.S. Sadar Rohtak Diatt. Rohtak HR. from Ziri Mandi Chowk towards Sector-56, Chandigarh while he was caring 201 grams Smack/Heroin and he failed to produced any licence or permit regarding the substances. During the interrogation accused disclosed that at present he was residing in Room No. 108, MLA Hostel Sector-03, Chandigarh and this room was booked by his Grand father Sh. Krishan Hooda MLA Baroda. He further disclosed that he procured the said heroin/smack from Delhi for Rs. 1000 per gram and supplied in Moga and Fazilka Punjab for Rs. 2500/- per gram. FIR No.27 dated 29.01.2020 U/S 21NDPS Act Profile of accused:- 1. one Amit Kumar S/O Jagbir Singh R/O # Village Khadwali P.S. Sadar Rohtak Diatt. Rohtak HR.. Modus Operandi: - During the interrogation accused disclosed that he procured the said heroin/smack from Delhi for Rs. 1000 per gram and supplied in Moga and Fazilka Punjab for Rs. 2500/- per gram. 114. 06.03.202 Chandigarh Police achieved success when the Police Staff of Police 0 Station Sector-39, under the supervision of Inspector Bhim Sain/ SHO PS 39, Chandigarh arrested Two snatchers and recovered snatched mobile phone, ATM cards, purse and Aadhard Card along with Motor cycle Hero HF Delux No. CH01- BR-3689 used in the crime. The brief of the case is as under:- FIR No 76 dated 28.02.2020 U/s 379A IPC added 411 IPC PS 39 UT Chandigarh-  This case was registered on the complaint of Ms Chandresh D/o Sh Mohinder Singh R/o # 2456, Sector-39-C, Chd. She reported that on 28.2.2020 at 9.00 AM while she was going to her office in Sector-38-C Chd and when she reached near Gurdwara Sant Sahib Sector-38-C, Chd in the meantime, two M/Cycle borne youngsters came from rear side on M/Cycle and snatched away her purse containing Mobile Phone Redmi 6A having SIM No. 9988445804, Cash 20/-, Adhar card, PAN Card & ATM of UCO Bank & SBI Bank. Modus Operandi: - Both accused are habitual drug addicts and to fulfill their daily needs/ drugs desires, they have committed snatching. Previous History:- NIL

115. 14.03.202 Chandigarh Police achieved success when the Police Staff of Police 0 Station Sector-39, under the supervision of Inspector Bhim Sain, SHO PS 39, Chandigarh arrested one vehicle lifter and two cases of stolen vehicle have been worked out. The brief facts of the worked out cases is as under:- FIR No. 91 dated 13.03.2020 U/S 473,411 IPC PS 39 UT Chd  ASI Sapinder Singh Police Station Sector 39 Chandigarh reported that on 13.03.2020 at about 06:00 PM while he along with Police party were on Patrolling duty in Sector 40 D Market Chandigarh. He nabbed one Jasanpreet Singh @ Jasan S/o Pargat Singh R/o H. No 2276/1 Sector 40 C Chandigarh age 20 years and Permanent address Village & PS Longowal Distt Sangrur Punjab while he was riding on an activa with fake number plate i.e. CH-01-AH-4537 having Engine No. JF50E80331760 and Chassis No. ME4JF5015D8332409. On enquiry, the said Activa found stolen from Burail, the area of PS Sector-34, Chd where FIR No. 26/2020 U/s 379-IPC found registered. The actual registration of Activa No. CH-01-AU-0603. Accused Jasanpreet Singh @ Jasan mentioned above arrested on the spot. FIR No 240 dated 08.06.2018 U/s 379 IPC added 411 IPC PS 39UT Chd  This case was got registered on the complaint of Sh. Deepak S/o Late Banarsi Dass R/O H. No # 539 Sector 38 A Chandigarh. He reported that, during the night intervening 7/8.06.2018 someone stolen his Activa No. CH01AD- 8225 while it was parked infront of his house.

116. 15.06.202 On 14.06.2020, a case FIR No. 197 dated 15.06.2020 U/S 323, 307, 394 IPC & 25-54-59 Arms Act 0 has been registered in Police Station, Sector-39, Chandigarh on the complaint of Vinod Kumar S/o Tarsem Lal H. No. 958 Sec 56 Chandigarh against Amandeep Shah S/o Dukhi Shah R/o H. No. 1322 Sec-56 Chandigarh, who came near his house and attacked him with big Knife and its handle at about 11 PM. He also fired one bullet at him with the intention of killing him, but bullet didn't hit him. In the said incident, he got 5-6 injuries and he was lifted to GMSH, Sector-16, Chandigarh, after treatment he was discharged. As per the version of the complainant, they had issue from last few months over their common female friend. Enmity had increased in last few days. During the investigation, accused Amandeep Shah S/o Sh. Dukhi Shah (aged 22 years) R/o # 1322, sector -56, Chandigarh has been arrested in this case. He reported that on 12.9.2020 at 1.00 PM, he visited in Booth Market Sector-40, Chandigarh and parked his Activa Grey Colour No. CH-01-BD-2915 in the market. At 2:30 PM, when he returned after some time he found that his above Activa was not there and has been stolen. After registration of the case, investigation of the case was carried out. This case has been registered on the complaint of Sh Vishal Mishra S/o Sh Rana Narian Mishra R/o House No. 06, Vill-Buterla Chandigarh. Modus Operandi: -During interrogation accused, Ajay & Ashok disclosed that they use to collect garbage door to door from the houses and whenever they get chance after idenfying the bikes they then lift the vehicles for their personal motives.

118. 18.11.202 Two robbery cases solved 0 Chandigarh Police achieved a major success when the police staff of Police Station Sector 39, under the supervision of Inspector Amanjot Singh SHO/PS 39, Chandigarh arrested accused Bhupinder Singh @ Sunny S/o Late Kartar Singh R/o # 183, Sector 41/A Chandigarh, Age 28 years and solved two sensational cases of Robbery within 24 hours. Detail of cases is as under: 1) FIR No. 357 dated 16.11.2020 U/s 392-IPC added 411-IPC

This case has been registered on the complaint of Sh Gurjinder Singh S/o Sh Jasbir Singh R/o House No. 187, Sector-16, Panchkula HR. He reported that he works with FLIPCART for collection and delivery of couriers and as usual, on 16.11.2020 he has visited market Sector-41 to collect the couriers where one boy approached to him and put a knife on his back and threatened him to go towards Sector-40 Chandigarh. Being alone and the knife and on the back, complainant went towards Sector-40 and when he reached near House No. 349/40-A, Chd, the said alleged person robbed him of his Mobile Make VIVO Y-11, Colour-Blue, having SIM No. 8360334048 & IMEI NO. 863050048461918, 863050048461900 and fled away from the spot. On 17.11.2020, ASI Jaswinder Singh got a secret information that a person who is involved in the robbery which has been done on a knife point his name is Bhupinder Singh @ Sunny and he will come at Sector 54/55/40/41 Chowk. Shiv Charan R/o House No. 2742 Sector-40-C, Chandigarh Age-25 years and solved three cases of Snatching and Motor Vehicle theft.

Detail of cases is as under: FIR No. 250 dated 07.08.2020 U/s 379-A, 356-IPC added 411-IPC This case was registered on the complaint of Sh. Anup Sharma S/o Sh Ved Parkash Sharma R/o House No. 1023/37-B, Chd. He reported that on 7.8.2020 at 7:05 AM while he was on morning walk and reached near #462/37-A as well near T-Point Sector-37-B, Chandigarh, in the mean time, two youngsters coming on M/Cycle whose pillion rider started followed him and in these moments the said alleged snatched his Gold neck Chain and both M/Cyclist fled away from the spot. Similarly Case FIR No. 298 dated 28.09.2020 U/s 379-A, 356-IPC added 411-IPC was registered on the complaint of Sh. Munish Jaggi S/o Sh P.P Jaggi R/o House No. 647 Sector-38-A, Chandigarh. He reported that on 28.09.2020 at about 5:55 PM, while he was listening his Mobile Phone in front of the main gate of his house, in the meantime, two M/Cyclist youngsters coming from rear side and snatched his gold neck chain and fled away from the spot. He could not note down the registration number of alleged M/Cycle.

He reported that during the night intervening of 23/24-9-2019 someone stolen his Yamaha Motor Cycle No HR-33-B-7308 while it was parked infront of the parking of his house. On 19.11.2020, ASI Mahabir Singh got a secret information that a person who is involved in the Snatchings and Motor Vehicle theft’s which has been done in front of the parking of House No. 633 Sector 40, Chandigarh his name is Kamal Verma and he will come at Sector 39/40 Light Point and Kamal Verma is also involved in other snatching cases. On this information ASI Mahabir Singh along with police party laid down a naka near Light point Sector 39/40 and based on the secret information nabbed accused Kamal Verma S/o Sh. It is submitted that the above mentioned case was registered on the complaint of ASI Vivek Kumar, Police Station Sector-39, Chandigarh. During the course of investigation, accused Lovepreet Singh @ Lavi S/o Sh Jasmir Singh R/o Vill-Hargane Distt-Fatehgarh Sahib PB Age-24 years arrested and Hero Honda deluxe with Fake number CH-01-BL-5088 (Original Number CH- 01-BL-4585) found to be stolen from Police Station Sector-3, Chd vide FIR No. 83 dt 17.09.2020 u/s 379-IPC, Hardeep Singh S/o Sh Buta Singh R/o Vill-Mohan Majra Distt- Fatehgarh Sahib PB Age-23 years & Pulsar M/Cycle with fake number CH-01-AJ-8473 recovered (original number CH-01-CB-9674 found to be stolen from the area of PS Phase-11, Mohali vide FIR No. 113 dt 12.11.2020 u/s 379-IPC, accused Ravider Giri @ D.C S/o Gurmail Giri R/o Vill-Shyampur Distt- SAS Nagar Mohali Age-25 years arrested accordingly and Activa with fake number CH-01-BA-5424 recovered from his possession. The said Activa found stolen from the area of Police Station Phase-8. Mohali vide FIR No. 149 dt 9.12.19 U/s 379-IPC and accused Sharanjit Singh S/o Sampuran Singh R/o Vill- Mote Majra, SAS Nagar Mohali PB Age-20 years arrested stolen M/Cycle Pulsar with fake number CH-01-AF-0886 found to be stole from the area of PS Matour vide FIR No. 205 dt 21.11.2020 U/s 379 IPC. Similarly FIR no. 372 Dt 28.11.2020 U/s 379 added 411-IPC It is submitted that the above mentioned case has been registered on the complaint of Sh. Abhinav Sharma S/o Sh Subhash Chand R/o Vill-Hari Pur Distt-Kangra (HP). He reported that on 15.3.2020, he has parked his Jupiter Scooter Eng No. EG4DK3814545, Chasiss No. MD626EG47K3E88471 Model 2019 (Without Registration Number) in-front of his rented House No. 193 Sector-41-A, Chandigarh and went to his native address. Due to lock down, he could not return to Chandigarh. On 28.11.2020, when he returned to Chd, he found that his above Jupiter scooter was not there. He tried his level best to trace his above Jupiter Scooter but in vain. On this information SI Kehar Singh Shared the same amongst the police party and laid down naka near turn Sector 40 C& D Chandigarh. At about 4:00 PM one hindu youngster without helmet found coming towards naka on activa no. CH01BJ-9465 was stopped. On asking he could not produced any document. Among Six accused persons, three had tainted past, these three are Kavi Singh, Baljinder Singh @ Happy & accused Sharanjit Singh have who were arrested in case FIR no. 21 dated 20.01.2020 U/S 399,402 IPC registered at PS-39 in the month of January this year (2020). Accused Baljinder Singh also found involved in Case FIR No. 214 dt 10.7.19 U/s 379,411-IPC PS-17 in MV Theft case. Modus Operandi: - All accused are drug addicts and to fulfill their urge of drugs they started committing thefts and after stealing these bikes they use to sell it to the innocent people living in villages on the pretext that they are selling these bikes on a cheaper rate as compared to the market rates. They use to promise these innocent buyers that they will provide the NOC later and will receive the remaining amount at the time of handing over the NOC. The gang has stolen 40 Two wheelers from Chandigarh and Punjab and further sold it in different villages of Mohali & Fatehgarh Sahib (PB). Total 40 bikes were recovered from them out of 40, Ten are Bullet Motor Cycles and rest 30 are Activa’s and Motor Cycles of other brands. Important aspects:- During interrogation of the accused Kavi an important aspect emerged that accused used to be a three wheeler driver and use to run auto from south division till Kharar and while in this profession Kavi came in contact with one girl and they became friendly and later the father of the girl made a complaint against Kavi in one of the Police Station in Mohali where the matter was later compromised and from then Kavi started giving information to the Police regarding the drug suppliers and Boot-lagers, he used to stand outside the wine shops and whenever someone picks up liquor in huge quantity he use to inform the Police and in lieu of this information he use to get incentives from the Police. Later after getting to know the Police department well he himself started committing a crime and further attached more people with him and this is how he has made his gang.
