The Interfaith Food Pantry is a non-denominational, non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization helping families make ends meet by supplementing their monthly groceries in times of need. Established in 1994, the Interfaith Food Pantry was formed when a group from four local houses of worship decided to address the growing issue of hunger by consolidating their food assistance programs. The objective was to create a central collection and distribution center in Morristown. Our Federal tax-exempt # is 22-3618468. What We Do The Interfaith Food Pantry provides groceries to eligible Morris County residents. Groceries are collected from a variety of sources: houses of worship, businesses & schools, community service programs, local groups and organizations, individuals and families. The Food Pantry purchases food whenever donations run low in order to maintain our goal of providing reliable assistance to the community. We distribute groceries to: senior citizens, low-income working families, recently unemployed workers, and other individuals in crisis. In addition to those who come to the Pantry, groceries are delivered throughout the county to those who are disabled and cannot get to us. -

Featuring a method based on exercises that explain multiples advantages and tunes generated by the use of the pick for playing bass, provided by adaptations of techniques from other similar instruments, like the electric guitar, and also presenting the analysis and interpretation of some musical pieces that show distinctive elements of the picking technique. -

University Programs Artists & Social Justice SUPPLEMENTAL WORKS The following selections from the Blanton Museum of Art’s collection represent alternatives to works of art featured in Artists and Social Justice. They introduce themes of police brutality, white supremacy, gender expression, xenophobia, and media bias — among others. Those who peruse the collection online at collection.blantonmuseum.org will find many other works of art that might be used to stimulate dialogue or generate assignments on a range of social issues. If needed, University of Texas faculty and staff may access larger image files via the Digital Archives System (DASE) at bit.ly/BlantonDASE. Try showing the image of the artwork first, to encourage student observations, before sharing the close-ups and contextual information. In making your selections, please be aware that powerful images may be disturbing or controversial for some students. We recommend having clear guidelines for respectful dialogue in place. Some students may need alternative assignments, emotional support, or referrals to the University’s Counseling and Mental Health Center at cmhc.utexas.edu. GUITAR WORLD #11, NOVEMBRE 97 SHOCK EXCHANGE par Alan Di Perna Jane's Addiction is back - if only temporarily - and they got Flea with 'em. Guitarist Dave Navarro and the righteous bass man rap about the good old days and their bad old ways. Dave Navarro and Flea are sitting together on the famous "sideways" rocking chair from the cover of Jane's Addiction's 1988 album, Nothing's Shocking. They're huddled together like two schoolboys on a bus, giggling, exchanging whispered jokes, setting up a force field of friendship to insulate them from the prying eye of the photographer's lens, the glaring floodlights and the coldly appraising gazes of assorted makeup artists, dressers, handlers and assistants. Navarro hates photo shoots. But Flea seems to welcome an opportunity to dress up like his newest heroes, Sixties black power militants the Black Panthers. He's even brought along a Panther uniform (black leather jacket, black turtleneck, black beret, wraparound shades) for Dave. When the world first saw the "sideways" rocking chair, it was, of course, holding a sculpture of Siamese twins, naked, female, created by Jane's Addiction leader Perry Farrell who set the figures' heads alight for the controversial Nothing's Shocking cover photo. Prepare to be shocked once more, because Farrell has now reconvened Jane's Addiction. The return of the band that instigated the alternative rock Nineties will be marked by a CD containing one brand new song and a slew of previously unreleased material, demos and live recordings from the first incarnation of Jane's Addiction.
