OLIVEIRA4 1 Universidade Federal do Amapá, Faculdade de Ciências Biológicas 2 Universidade do Estado do Amapá, Departamento de Engenharia Química 3 Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, Faculdade de Engenharia Química 4 Universidade Federal do Pará, Faculdade de Engenharia Química E-mail para contato: [email protected] RESUMO – A espécie Carapa guianensis, conhecida na Amazônia como andiroba, é uma espécie florestal com capacidade de promover valorização e uso econômico da floresta, com aplicações em indústrias. A determinação de um modelo de secagem que represente os dados experimentais é de suma importância para minimizar alterações promovidas pelo processo, obtendo-se produtos de qualidade. Neste trabalho estudou-se a secagem do resíduo de andiroba através de simulação pelo software COMSOL Multiphysics, baseado no método de elementos finitos. Utilizando os princípios da 2ª Lei de Fick e a Lei de Fourier simulou-se a difusão de água e a transferência de calor nos corpos de testes. As secagens foram realizadas por convecção forçada nas temperaturas de 55 (±3) °C e 67(±3) °C com velocidade do ar de ±1m/s. A simulação obtida mostrou boa representação dos dados experimentais, podendo ser usada para predizer o comportamento de secagem em indústrias e como ferramenta para o ensino de fenômenos de transportes. 1.     Food Supply, Starvation, and Food As a Weapon in the Camps and Ghettos of Romanian-Occupied Bessarabia and Transnistria, 1941-44 Paul A. Shapiro United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Abstract: The Romanian regime of wartime leader Ion Antonescu concentrated the Jews of Bessarabia and Bukovyna in transit camps and ghettos, and then deported them to the Romanian-administered territory between the Dnister and Buh rivers, in southwestern Ukraine. Of approximately 160,000 Romanian Jews deported to “Transnistria,” only 50,000 survived the ordeal. The Romanians, with local Volksdeutsch and Ukrainian collaborators, also massacred and were otherwise responsible for the death of approximately 150,000 local Ukrainian Jews, including the large Jewish community of Odesa. While not comparable to the Jews in number, deported Romanian Roma and local Roma were also subjected to physical brutality, forced labour, and incarceration. Famine and starvation did not cause all Jewish and Roma deaths in Bessarabia and Transnistria. Mass executions exacted a huge toll. So did exposure to the elements, exhaustion, and typhus. Still, while there was no famine in the region, starvation was a permanent presence. Romanian authorities controlled the food supply and denied it to their targeted victims. This article describes the steps taken by Romanian occupation authorities to isolate Jews and Roma; to limit the flow of food supplies to them; to prevent them from accessing food in local markets; and to prevent help that might have been offered by those local civilians who took pity on the starving victims. Official documentation and testimonies of both officials and survivors provide a vivid picture of the consequences.

Embora o formato mais associado à essa forma de televisão seja o reality show , ela não se restringe a ele e transporta, para a programação em geral, técnicas e recursos que visam tornar o texto midiático mais e mais real . Entra em jogo, o processo de referencialização para tornar o texto vivido, no cotidiano por pessoas anônimas, um elemento de máxima realidade no que é veiculado. Porém, mesmo no interior da reality TV e do reality show , o formato por ela criado, subsiste uma estrutura narrativa, ficcional. Logo mais, à noite, no horário nobre, a sua história de vida, a sua imagem será transmitida a milhões de pessoas e todo mundo vai saber por um instante, ainda que pequeno, ainda que passageiro, quem é você. Todo mundo vai saber por alguns minutos que você existe, a sua família existe, a sua casa consta no mapa. Todo mundo vai saber que você é real e mais, que a TV é para valer, ela transmite o real ao mostrar gente como a gente , o nosso cotidiano.

Empresas de engenharia têm, em muitas vezes, seus modelos próprios de gestão de projetos, muito semelhantes ao do recomendado no PMBOK. Desta forma, propõe-se apresentar pesquisa realizada pela Universidade Fluminense sobre fluxos de processos do modelo em questão, suas principais diretrizes gerenciais, contemplando vantagens, desvantagens e resultados de eficácia em sua aplicação. Introdução Nos projetos de engenharia, processos e técnicas de gerenciamento, são executados, muitas vezes, com padrões semelhantes aos recomendados pelo PMI (Project Management Institute). Estes padrões são especificados e detalhados no PMBOK(Project Management Body of Knowledge) que constitui-se como um guia prático de conhecimentos, reunidos e comprovados internacionalmente, indo desde práticas tradicionais até práticas inovadoras e avançadas, objetivando a padronização de termos utilizados na gerência de projetos. A Universidade Fluminense (UFF), através de seu Programa de Pós-Graduação em Engenharia Civil, ênfase em Sistemas de Gestão, Produção e Qualidade, tem investigado a utilização desses sistemas de gerenciamento; buscando dados reais em pesquisas, com objetivo de identificar a aplicação desse modelo por gestores de projetos de engenharia na área civil.
